Chapter 211 He had a Look As if He Wanted to Devour Her with His Eyes

Frederick checked on her and saw that Amelia was unharmed. He furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice, "Didn't you watch where you're walking?"

Amelia rubbed her nose tip, feeling a bit embarrassed, and couldn't help but retort, "You suddenly stopped while walking. It's like when you suddenly slam on the brakes while driving, causing me to rear-end you. It's the same logic."

Frederick looked at her expressionlessly and stated, "The person who rear-ends someone is at fault."

Amelia was taken aback for a moment and naturally took over. "Yes, it was my fault for not keeping a safe distance from you."

Frederick immediately turned cold. Amelia looked at his suddenly darkened face, utterly perplexed.

She had already admitted her mistake, so why was he still angry?

Amelia couldn't understand him at all.

Carl from the Davis Manor drove up to the entrance. When he saw Amelia's luggage in Frederick's hands, he came over to help.

He reached respectfully out to take the luggage from Frederick's hands but found that he was holding it tightly.

Carl immediately smiled and respectfully said, "Mr. Hastings, please hand the luggage to me."

As soon as he spoke, Frederick let go of the luggage and said in a deep voice, "Put it in my car."

Carl immediately understood that Frederick intended to escort Amelia to the airport.

He was about to put Amelia's luggage into Frederick's car when Amelia glanced at her watch and furrowed her brow. It was getting late.

She calmly walked past Frederick, saying, "Mr. Hastings, I know you're busy, but you took time to bring supplies for Thunder Fang today. I won't trouble you any longer."

With that, she walked down the steps and bent to enter her car.

Carl carefully glanced at Frederick's stern face and awkwardly placed the luggage in Amelia's trunk. He thought it was lucky that he didn't work directly for Frederick, or he would have had to endure his bad mood all day.

After Carl got in the car, he immediately started the car and drove away.

Frederick stood on the steps, watching the Davis Manor's car leave. He sighed deeply and tugged at his tie, looking slightly impatiently into the distance.

When Paul saw Frederick, he drove up to the Davis Manor entrance and got out of the car to open the door for him.

As he opened the back door, he heard Frederick say in a deep voice, "Go to Tideport City."

Paul was taken aback for a moment and quickly said, "Mr. Hastings, our itinerary for today is Frostpeak Haven."

They didn't have any plans to go to Tideport City.

Frederick, adjusting his tie, said in a deep voice, "Isn't there a project launching in Tideport City?"

Paul nodded. "Yes."

However, that project was starting next month.

Frederick coldly stated, "Then we'll make a surprise inspection."

Paul nodded in confusion. "Alright."

Frederick must have his reasons for wanting to go to Tideport City.

Although Paul was puzzled, his job was to follow Frederick's orders and arrange all travel plans.

On the way to the airport, Paul first informed the executive office that Frederick had changed the itinerary.

Kasfee Airport.

Amelia arrived early at the airport. After she had waited for about ten minutes, she saw Kimberly approaching with her luggage.

Kimberly was in her sixties this year. She was already at retirement age, but she still contributed to medical development.

Amelia had always admired people like that. "Ms. Harris, let me take that."

Amelia walked over, taking the luggage from Kimberly's hands to check it in.

Kimberly waited by the side.

After handling the check-in, Amelia returned to Kimberly's side and they entered the boarding gate together.

Amelia took good care of Kimberly throughout the process.

Kimberly praised, "Girls from families like yours usually don't take care of others at your age. Your father raised you well."

Amelia smiled politely. "If my father heard that, he would be so pleased."

Kimberly smiled. "When I saw you at the awards ceremony, I felt like I knew you. I remembered yesterday that when Emily was hospitalized, you used to come to our department often to visit her."

Kimberly said that as Frederick and Paul entered the cabin.

He suddenly stopped in his tracks as if his heart had been struck by something and looked at Amelia with a deep, probing expression.

Amelia didn't notice Frederick standing not far away. She was lost in thought as she looked at Kimberly.

Amelia didn't have much of an impression of Kimberly, but she remembered Mark Reed quite clearly.

Mark had ben Emily's attending physician.

Kimberly smiled when she saw Amelia's slightly puzzled expression and said, "You might not remember me, but I've seen you many times."

Amelia smiled awkwardly. Back then, her focus had been entirely on Frederick and Emily, and she had paid little attention to others.

Amelia did not remember any other medical staff besides Emily's attending physician and the head nurse.

Amelia apologized. "Ms. Harris, I'm sorry. I was young back then and forgot about you."

Kimberly sighed lightly. "I'm getting old, and my memory isn't what it used to be. It wasn't until Mark mentioned it yesterday that I remembered. I didn't expect you to become a doctor. This profession is very tiring. It must have been tough to choose this path with your background, right?"

Amelia had been pampered and sheltered by the Davises since childhood, so studying had been a challenge for her.

However, it had been many years. She recalled that she had to remember various medical cases and incomprehensible professional terms and knowledge in her initial studies. She found it wasn't as difficult as she had initially thought.

Paul finally understood why Frederick chose to sit in economy class instead of first class when he saw Amelia conversing with Kimberly.

It was because Amelia was here.

Paul glanced cautiously at Frederick's expression. When he saw his deep gaze and somewhat unpleasant complexion, he guessed that Frederick was probably upset because Amelia had been talking with Kimberly the whole time and hadn't noticed him, so he decided to greet Amelia. "Hello, Ms. Davis."

Amelia heard Paul's voice and raised her head. She paused for a moment when she saw Frederick standing not far away. "Are you both in economy class?" she asked.

Frederick had mentioned that he was also going to Tideport City, so it wasn't a surprise to encounter him on this flight.

However, what was strange was that Frederick was in economy class.

It didn't fit Frederick's image. His seat should have been in first class.

Paul glanced at Frederick and saw him just staring at Amelia without speaking. He wished he could speak for him.

When Paul saw that Frederick had no intention of responding, he smiled awkwardly and replied, "Yes."

"Where are your seats?" she asked softly. As she said that, she found Frederick's intense gaze and unappealing expression fixed on her.

She pursed her lips, looking a bit puzzled.

She hadn't provoked him, so why was he looking at her as if he wanted to devour her with his eyes?
