Chapter 227 The Angle of the Stolen Shots Was Very Tricky.

Amber couldn't bring herself to explain about the bracelet in front of Amelia. Admitting it came from stolen sketches at Frederick's would mean never lifting her head in Amelia's presence again.
Amber took a deep breath, endured the sharp pain, and bent over to check her knee. She didn't dare to get up quickly, nor did she dare to look at Frederick.

She feared that if she met Frederick's disgusted gaze, she wouldn't know what to do next.

Sebastian reached his car first and opened the door. Rachel deliberately paused, waiting a moment for Amelia.

As Amelia walked past Frederick, he reached out and grabbed her arm, saying, "Get in my car."

Amelia calmly removed his hand from her arm and replied, "No. Mr. Hastings, you should give Ms. Roberts a ride."

The warmth in his palm faded, and a thin layer of sadness appeared in Frederick's deep blue eyes.

He furrowed his brows in some pain, about to speak.

Rachel seized the moment and pulled Amelia to her side. She casted a glance at Amber and said, "It seems like Ms. Roberts hurt her knee. It looks pretty painful."

After saying this, Rachel let Amelia get in the car.

Amelia bent down to get in, sitting at the far side.

Frederick watched her figure and stepped forward.

Billy also walked out of the Rodriguez Mansion, holding Amelia's phone. Seeing Rachel and the others, he spoke, "Rachel, where's Amelia?"

Rachel glanced at Billy and smiled lightly, her gaze slowly sweeping over Frederick as if saying, Amelia never lacks suitors.

Rachel replied to Billy, "She is in the car."

Hearing Billy's call, Amelia leaned out of the car.

Frederick halted in his tracks.

"Mr. Rodriguez, are you looking for me?" Amelia asked. She was about to get out of the car when Billy walked up to her and handed her phone over.

"You left your phone behind. No need to get out," Billy replied softly.

A hint of surprise flashed in Amelia's eyes, and she quickly thanked him. "Thank you."

Her phone contained a lot of important information, which she often reviewed when she had free time. If she lost it, she would have to reorganize everything.

When Amelia was happy, her eyes curved, and she looked both elegant and a bit playful.

Observing this, Frederick coldly opened the car's back door, forcefully slamming it shut.

Beside him, Felix stood waiting, aware Frederick was in a foul mood.

Frederick's mood was not just bad. It was terrible.

Felix didn't dare linger, quickly opened the driver's door, and got in.

As soon as he got in, Frederick instructed coldly, "To the branch office."

Felix didn't dare delay, quickly started the car, and left the Rodriguez Mansion.

Rachel's lips slightly curled up, a smile on her face. She was very pleased with Frederick's loss of composure, and she said to Billy, "Mr. Rodriguez, you are thoughtful, personally bringing Amelia's phone out."

Billy replied, "Ms. Davis, you're too kind."

Amelia's phone was found by Patricia, who wanted to match Billy with Amelia.

Billy happened to have a slight interest in Amelia, so he didn't mind making the trip.

Sebastian had heard Frederick slamming the car door earlier and knew he must be very angry now.

He quickly changed the topic between Billy and Amelia. "I have some business to handle at the hotel. Let's meet another day, Mr. Rodriguez."

"Alright. Take care and drive safely." Billy readily agreed.

Sebastian nodded, bent down, got in the car, and started it.

Rachel also got in, sitting next to Amelia.

As soon as she closed the door, Sebastian floored the gas pedal, eager to leave the Rodriguez Mansion.

As their car passed by Amber, Rachel glanced out the window, just as Amber looked up, their eyes meeting.

Amber clearly saw the disdain on Rachel's face.

Amelia's gaze also swept over Amber, her expression indifferent, looking at her as if she were a complete stranger.

Her eyes held no mockery, no contempt, not even a ripple.

If Rachel's gaze made Amber feel indignant, Amelia's indifferent demeanor made her feel powerless.

It was as if Amber had exerted all her strength, yet her efforts landed on an unyielding opponent.

This sense of helplessness lingered, hitting Amber harder than Rachel's disdain.

She took several deep breaths to steady her emotions, then called her assistant and left the Rodriguez Mansion.

In the car, the assistant took out a video for her to watch and said, "Someone posted a video of the wedding scene online. It's being shared in various chat groups."

Hearing this, Amber picked up her phone and saw the video of her being lifted by the groomsmen.

The two groomsmen were too strong and careless, lifting her in a way that exposed her skirt. She was wearing nude safety shorts today.

The angle of the video made it look like she wasn't wearing any underwear, as it was blurry from a distance.

Amber bit her lip tightly, opened her short video account, and saw many suggestive comments under her latest video.

[I have seen it, which looked pretty good.]

[I've always said there's no such thing as pure and innocent people, just personas.]

[I don't expect that Amber's quite wild.]

Amber gripped her phone tightly, gritting her teeth.

The short video platform was her only source of stable income. If her persona collapsed, her income would definitely plummet.

Her income this year had already halved compared to last year. If she faced another setback, the future would be tough.

In the internet age, various types of influencers rise and fall quickly.

Seeing her anxiety, the assistant quickly suggested, "Amber, don't panic. This is the age of traffic. Maybe you can use this incident for some publicity."

Amber immediately understood the assistant's meaning. She said, "I'll organize my words tonight and post a short video tomorrow."

Although she didn't want to fall out with Angela, things had reached this point. If she stayed silent, she might not be able to make money from short videos anymore.

Just as the assistant said, she could use this video to create some buzz for herself.

It would be best if it made it to the news. Although embarrassing, it would garner more attention.

The Tideport City Hotel.

Amelia had just gotten out of the car when she received a call from Kimberly, who happily shared the progress of Maria's condition.

Thanks to Amelia's treatment plan, Maria's condition had significantly improved.

Kimberly kept praising Amelia on the phone, and Amelia responded politely with a smile.

On the other side of the garage, Felix sat in the driver's seat, carefully observing Frederick in the back seat, not daring to make a sound.

Earlier, at the Rodriguez Mansion, Frederick had said he wanted to go to the branch office but suddenly changed his mind and said to return to the hotel.

Felix could only follow orders.

From their angle, Amelia's current smile looked reserved and shy, as if she were in love.

Frederick held a document in the back seat. Seeing Amelia's smile, he almost tore the document in his hand.
