Chapter 372 Going Crazy on Behalf of Sebastian
Sebastian's gaze occasionally drifted toward the direction where Charles and Rachel were. Noticing Sebastian's distraction, Derek politely inquired. "Mr. Kingsley, do you want to meet Mr. Wright? How about I introduce you?"
As soon as Derek spoke, Sebastian immediately withdrew his gaze and apologized to him, "I'm sorry, Mr. Allen." He immediately realized his mistake. It was indeed disrespectful to be distracted by other things while talking to Derek.
Derek's expression was very amiable, and his gaze fell on Charles.
At this moment, Charles was talking to Jason Briggs. He had a smile on his face, and his behavior showed his care for Rachel beside him.
The Briggs family held an important position in Yaradia.
Charles intended to introduce Rachel to Jason, indicating that he wanted the Davis Group to develop better in the international market.
"No problem, Mr. Kingsley. Please follow me," Derek replied gently. He had a good impression of Sebastian; they had already met before the exchange event started.

Rachel was talking to Jason when she noticed Sebastian being brought over. Her eyes grew sullen slightly but quickly returned to calm.

"Mr. Briggs, Mr. Wright, let me introduce a friend to you." Derek stepped to Charles's side, smiling as he introduced Sebastian to Jason and Charles.
Sebastian's gaze swept over Rachel's face, only to see her slightly tilting her head and whispering to Charles.
Rachel said something that made Charles smile faintly, giving Sebastian the illusion that Rachel was mocking him for trying to please Charles.
He furrowed his brows and instantly perked up when Derek introduced him to Jason.
Determined not to be overshadowed by Rachel, he was resolute in securing the deal with Jason himself.
Sebastian extended his hand to Jason, greeting, "Mr. Briggs, hello, it's an honor to meet you."
Jason smiled kindly and replied, "It's an honor to meet you too, Mr. Kingsley."
Derek then introduced Sebastian to Charles. This time, Sebastian didn't take the initiative to extend his hand to Charles. Instead, Charles smiled indifferently and extended his hand generously. He greeted, "Hello, Mr. Kingsley, we meet again."
At this moment, Sebastian felt that Charles's smile was full of mockery. He gritted his teeth and quickly withdrew his hand after shaking Charles's.
Everyone immediately sensed the subtle undercurrent between the two.
Jason shifted his gaze from Sebastian to Rachel, continuing their unfinished conversation.
Charles quietly listened on the side, occasionally chiming in with a smile, but mostly, he was attending to Rachel.
For instance, when Rachel's hair fell out of place, he would thoughtfully fix it for her.
When the waiter brought fruit wine, Charles would be the first to hand Rachel a glass.
All his actions were very natural as if he were taking care of his girlfriend. And Rachel calmly enjoyed Charles's care. It was as if Charles had been her boyfriend for many years.
Jason noticed that Rachel's glass was always filled with clear fruit wine and was curious.
He asked, "Ms. Davis, what flavor is your fruit wine?"
Rachel hadn't expected Jason to ask such a question suddenly. She had been drinking mineral water all day with no trace of alcohol. After she finished her glass, the waiter would bring a new one, so Rachel always let Charles get it for her.
After all, only Charles knew which glass was prepared for her.
Before Rachel could answer Jason's question, Charles lifted her hand and took a sip from her glass. After tasting it, he smiled and said to Mr. Briggs. "Peach flavor. Very sweet."
Rachel raised an eyebrow, inwardly admiring Charles's ability to make things up. She had been drinking the water for so long and never tasted any peach flavor, nor did she find it sweet.
As soon as Charles spoke, Jason became interested and called the waiter to change his drink to the same as Rachel's.
"Peach-flavored fruit wine." Charles smiled and added to the waiter, who immediately understood and went to prepare it with a smile.
After the small interlude, the group continued their previous conversation.
Rachel wore a confident and composed smile, shining brighter than ever with Charles by her side. His unwavering support made her feel invincible.
Everyone was curious about the exact relationship between Charles and Rachel.
Especially when they saw Sebastian approaching their conversation circle, they all watched with bated breath, hoping he would do something to drive a wedge between Rachel and Charles.
After all, every group had its interests. The resurgence of the Davis Group meant that other groups might have to settle for playing second fiddle.
Everyone was keen to bring resources to their own faction; none of them wanted the Davis Group to siphon them away. So, the idea of Charles and Rachel becoming a power couple was unsettling to many.

However, as time passed, Charles's interaction with Rachel became more intimate, and Sebastian made no moves. He even endured and accompanied them, occasionally chiming in.
