Chapter 220 Truly Shameless to the Extreme

"Thank you for your understanding, Ms. Davis," Patricia said, gently patting Amelia's hand as a gesture of affection.

She continued, "Virgil and Billy are in the inner hall. Let's head there."

To prevent the bride's social media influencer friends from lowering the Rodriguez family's status, Mrs. Rodriguez deliberately divided the wedding into two parts: the inner hall, filled with aristocratic friends and business elites, and the outer hall, for the bride's friends and relatives.

Although Patricia was particularly warm towards Amelia, she didn't neglect Rachel and managed to engage with her as they headed to the inner hall.

Upon entering the inner hall, Patricia led Rachel and Amelia to Virgil. "Virgil, Ms. Davis and Mr. Kingsley are here."

Virgil stood up from his seat and greeted Rachel and Sebastian.

Patricia immediately noticed Billy standing among a group of elite young men, holding a wine glass and conversing.

"Billy, come over here," Patricia called Billy.

Billy nodded slightly at Patricia's call, said a few words to the people around him, downed his drink, and walked towards Patricia.

Amelia understood Patricia's intention upon arriving.

Billy approached from the crowd.

Patricia quickly pulled Billy over and introduced him. "Billy, you already know Ms. Rachel Davis and Mr. Kingsley, so I won't introduce them again. This is Ms. Rachel Davis' younger sister, Amelia. I want to formally introduce you."

Billy, with silver-framed glasses perched on his nose, looked through the lenses and fixed his gaze on Amelia, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Hello, Ms. Amelia Davis."

Amelia also smiled lightly, and her tone was polite as she said, "Hello, Mr. Billy Rodriguez."

Patricia's face showed satisfaction. She felt that Amelia and Billy looked very compatible just standing together. She said, "Billy, there are many guests today. Since you're all young people, you must fulfill your host duties and take good care of Ms. Amelia Davis and the others."

Billy replied, "Got it."

With Billy's response, Patricia turned to chat with Rachel for a bit before leaving to greet guests at the door.

Billy arranged seats for Rachel and the others, then naturally sat down next to Amelia.

To lighten the mood, he also greeted a few friends who had collaborated with Rachel before.
Once seated, conversation flowed, and any awkwardness dissipated.

They discussed project plans and some new developments, which Amelia couldn't understand at all.

Though she didn't understand, she still listened attentively.

As the wedding ceremony was about to begin, Frederick entered from outside under Patricia's guidance.

Virgil noticed Frederick as soon as he entered. He immediately stood up to greet him at the door.

With Virgil giving Frederick such attention, everyone's eyes naturally turned to him.

Amelia, who had been keenly interested in Billy's earlier discussion about AI development, suddenly noticed the conversation pause and everyone's gazes turned towards the entrance. She couldn't help but turn her head too.

Frederick, dressed in a dark gray suit, walked in, his handsome and tall figure resembling an anime protagonist.

He spoke politely with Virgil, exuding a natural aloofness.

When Amelia looked over, her eyes met Frederick's.

She quickly averted her gaze.

Frederick's deep, blue eyes dimmed as he noticed her indifferent look.

Virgil led Frederick into the inner hall, intending to seat him beside himself.

But before they reached the seat, Sebastian stood up and greeted Frederick. "Frederick, sit here."

Frederick acknowledged and, after greeting Virgil, naturally took the seat Sebastian had vacated.

Sebastian then moved to sit on Rachel's right.

Rachel had already noticed Sebastian's intention when he insisted on sitting between her and Amelia. She glanced coolly at him on her right.

Sebastian whispered in a voice only they could hear, "I'll go back and kneel on the keyboard."

"The hotel doesn't have a keyboard. Buy a durian later," Rachel said calmly as her expression was unchanged.

Sebastian couldn't imagine that Rachel's soft, warm lips could utter such cold words, and he regretted calling Frederick over.

Helping Frederick chase his wife got him nothing but a durian to kneel on. He felt quite aggrieved.

After Frederick sat down, Billy raised his wine glass slightly and said, "Mr. Hastings, we haven't met for long."

Frederick naturally picked up the water glass in front of Amelia, raising it slightly. "I'm on medication and can't drink, so I'll use water instead. I hope you don't mind, Mr. Rodriguez."

After speaking, he lightly sipped from the water glass.

The spot he sipped from still had Amelia's lipstick mark.

Everyone at the table looked at Frederick in surprise.

Amelia was also taken aback.

After putting down the glass, Frederick turned to Amelia and asked, "Is this your water glass?"

Amelia nodded. "Yes."

"Sorry," he said indifferently.

Amelia looked at him quietly, not seeing any sign of apology on Frederick's face.

She gently pulled the water glass towards herself, looking unbothered. "It's fine."

Noticing the subtle interaction between them, Billy immediately called for a servant to bring Frederick a new glass of water.

Amelia stared at the lipstick mark on the glass, lost in thought.

Seeing this, Billy said softly, "I'll have them get you a new glass."

Amelia nodded.

The next moment, Frederick took her glass and replaced it with the one the servant had just brought him, saying, "No need to trouble them."

Billy heard this and didn't insist. He leaned back slightly, adjusting his glasses frame with a leisurely air, a playful glint in his eyes.

He felt that things were starting to get interesting.

Rachel picked up her wine glass, swirling the red wine inside, and glanced at Frederick's natural demeanor with a slight smile.

To keep others from pursuing Amelia, Frederick went to great lengths, even using the subtle tactic of drinking from her glass.

It was a clear message that Amelia was his and that he liked her very much.

How shameless.
