Chapter 122 Frederick, You're Not Leaving Yet?

Felix had been quietly observing. Seeing everyone talking about Frederick, he still intended to remind Frederick out of professionalism.

Just as he was about to take a step forward, Frederick had already turned and left. Felix hurriedly followed.

Frederick wanted to leave, and no one dared to stop him.

Sebastian was busy talking to Vincent, and when he saw Frederick leaving, he raised an eyebrow.

"Vincent, don't worry. If I marry Rachel, I will definitely treat her seriously and I will never do anything that betrays you like Frederick did."

Standing by Sebastian's side, Rachel listened to his words and smiled. Sebastian, for the sake of his own marriage, was actually speaking ill of Frederick.

Vincent nodded slightly upon hearing Sebastian's words. "As long as you have that intention, it's enough."

Vincent knew Rachel's temper very well. Sebastian might just end up being bullied by Rachel. Currently, Sebastian and Rachel's relationship was stable, and Sebastian's thoughts were completely focused on Rachel, so their relationship wouldn't break apart like Amelia and Frederick's did.

Now Vincent was worried about Amelia and Frederick's relationship status. After Frederick left, the dance floor became lively again. Quentin looked at Amelia with a gentle smile on his face.

"Ms. Davis, our dance was interrupted earlier. Would you still be willing to finish a dance with me?"

Amelia, having the experience of being forced to dance with Frederick, still felt a bit reluctant about dancing.

Just then, Anna walked over and took Amelia's hand. Amelia found an excuse to refuse. "Sorry, I'm not really available at the moment."

Quentin didn't expect Amelia to refuse, and his gaze fell on Anna, who was standing next to Amelia. He nodded awkwardly, indicating his understanding.

"I didn't ask you earlier, what is your child's name? Next time we meet, I'll bring her a gift that she likes."

When Anna locked eyes with Quentin, she felt uncomfortable. She immediately shook her head and reached out to be held by Amelia. Amelia instinctively picked her up.

Quentin intended to act gentlemanly in front of Amelia, so he offered his help. However, as soon as his hand touched Anna, Anna quickly pushed his hand away. "Don't touch me."

Her voice was serious, and after speaking, she tightly held onto Amelia's neck, resting her head on Amelia's shoulder.

Quentin immediately withdrew his outstretched hand, looking particularly embarrassed.

Amelia knew that Anna didn't have a good first impression of Quentin. After all, when Quentin first saw Anna, he was not very friendly. Although Amelia hadn't made a name for herself in the business world, she still understood Quentin's intentions to some extent.

She maintained a polite demeanor in front of Quentin, solely because he was Nicole's cousin.

"Sorry, she's just sleepy. We'll be going now. Goodbye."

Without waiting for Quentin's response, Amelia and Anna left.

Quentin originally intended to escort Amelia home, but when he sensed the detachment in her eyes, his expression stiffened, and he couldn't find the words he had practiced for a long time.

He had waited for Amelia for three years, he couldn't accept Amelia's child.

He had thought Anna was Frederick's daughter. However, when he heard Anna calling Frederick "Uncle Frederick," he regained hope.

The Davis family had recently developed rapidly, and after overcoming difficulties three years ago, they had become leaders in the media industry. They had no male heirs, and Rachel had a close relationship with Amelia.

In the future, the Davis family's assets would certainly be divided equally between Rachel and Amelia.

In Kasfee, many people desired to obtain this fortune.

The Adams family had been declining for years, and if they didn't rise higher this year, they might be completely cut off from high society. Quentin, as the heir of the Adams family, naturally felt more anxious about this than anyone else.

Amelia approached Rachel with Anna in her arms and whispered, "Anna is tired, so I'll take her home."

Rachel nodded. "Okay. Dad is still chatting with some old friends. We'll come back later after we finish, I'll have someone pick you up at the door."

Frederick had left earlier, and someone had to stay to host the banquet.

Rachel couldn't leave for the moment.

Amelia walked out of the venue with Anna, and Tina was instructed by Rachel to accompany them.

Frederick sat in the back seat on the parking lot outside the venue, holding a cigarette and blowing smoke rings.

Felix silently sat in the driver's seat. Frederick didn't let him drive, nor did he say where they were going. Felix just sat quietly.

He turned his head and saw Amelia standing at the entrance of the venue, holding Anna, waiting for the car, so he informed Frederick.

"Mr. Hastings, Ms. Davis is coming out."

Frederick heard him and looked toward the entrance of the venue.

He immediately extinguished the cigarette in his hand, rolled down the car window, and waved away the smoke in the air.

Felix also quickly turned on the car's air circulation system, expelling the smoke smell from the car, and also sprayed some perfume.

Once the smell inside the car had dissipated, Frederick spoke in a low voice, "Drive over there."

Felix didn't dare to delay and immediately started the car. Just as they were about to drive to the entrance of the venue, Tina's car suddenly accelerated and took the first spot at the club's entrance.

Frederick sat in the back seat, his face darkening.

Tina got out of the driver's seat and greeted him with a respectful and polite smile. "Mr. Hastings, you haven't left yet?"

Frederick's gaze turned fierce. Tina smiled slightly and went around the front of the car to open the door for Amelia.

Amelia bent down and got into the car.

The back window was open.

Frederick's car did not leave either. He silently watched Amelia bend down to get in, and then adjusted the seat for Anna, who was already sound asleep.

Anna had always slept next to Amelia since she was born. So, she still held onto a bad habit that she hadn't outgrown. She arched her body in Amelia's arms and placed her hand on Amelia's chest, looking particularly cute.

Amelia seemed somewhat helpless as she held Anna's hand.

In the moment she turned her head, she directly met Frederick's deep gaze.

Frederick was captivated. He had just witnessed all of Anna's actions.

Amelia felt a bit awkward. She glared at Frederick, then wound up the back window.

Tina had already closed the car door and entered the driver's seat.

"Ms. Davis, should we go straight back to Davis Manor?" Tina asked.

Amelia nodded.

Upon hearing this, Tina started the car.

From his direction, Felix couldn't see where Amelia was, but he noticed that Frederick's expression had changed after seeing her.

Seeing that Tina had already driven away, Felix lifted his head and glanced at the rearview mirror.

Frederick was still reminiscing about the reproachful look Amelia had given him just now. He showed a faint smile.

Noticing that Felix was looking at him, he composed himself and said, "Follow them."
