Chapter 126 Why Does She Attract Men So Easily?

If Sarah came to her house, she would definitely find traces of Nolan and Pearl living there.

Once Sarah was in the loop about Nolan and Pearl, David would know. And within short times, Michael would know too. If Michael found out about the existence of Nolan and Pearl...

She couldn't bear the consequences. So Elizabeth didn't dare to think any further.

She always remembered what Michael had said four years ago.

Michael had told her that even if she had his kid, he wouldn't let the child live.

Just thinking about it made Elizabeth shiver, even under the covers.

She forced herself to stay awake and then told Sarah, "Sarah, don't bother coming over. Eating at home just doesn't have the right vibe. Wait for me; I'll change and be right there."

Elizabeth, fighting off her drowsiness, threw off the covers and got out of bed. She went to the bathroom and splashed her face with cold water to wake up.

She thought about how she hadn't had a proper meal out with Sarah since coming back to the country; this was practically their first outing in four years.

Then she found a bright-colored dress from the wardrobe and put on some light makeup to make herself look less tired and worn out.

She left her room and found the living room lights off. Nancy and the kids were nowhere to be seen.

She took out her phone and called Nancy, "Mom, where are you? Not at home?"

It took a while for Nancy to answer the phone, "Elizabeth, why'd you get up so early? Why not sleep a bit more? I was afraid the kids would wake you, so I took them out. We're at the mall."

Elizabeth replied, "Okay. They haven't really been to a mall here, it's nice to take them around. Sarah asked me to have dinner. I'm heading out."

Nancy's side sounded noisy. She reminded them to stay safe and then hung up the phone.

Still feeling very tired today, Elizabeth didn't dare to drive. She called a taxi and went to the restaurant they had agreed upon.

When Sarah saw her, she was immediately impressed.

Elizabeth was naturally beautiful, with good looks and a great figure, but she rarely dressed up.

It was rare for her to wear light makeup and a beautiful dress today.

Sarah arched her eyebrows and playfully whistled at her.

"Hey, gorgeous, sit here."

Elizabeth smiled and walked over to Sarah.

Sarah laughed, "Elizabeth, I'm flattered that you dressed up so nicely to see me. Should I go home and dress up to match you?"

Elizabeth lightly patted her shoulder, "Did you learn to say such cheesy things from David?"

After speaking, she sat down across from Sarah. Seeing that Sarah had ordered red wine, she smiled happily.

She picked up the wine glass in front of her and poured a little red wine. "Is this to celebrate me?"

She then raised her glass and said to Sarah, "Why didn't you invite David to join us? Aren't you two always inseparable?"

"Oh, come on, listen to yourself. Can't I have some personal space? I can't stand a relationship without freedom. What kept you so busy today that you forgot about our dinner date?" Sarah teased, holding Elizabeth accountable.

Elizabeth lowered her head and took a sip of wine, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I've been busy rebuilding The Jones Group lately, so I forgot. Sorry, Sarah." She didn't want to tell Sarah about Eloise's surgery; it was too complicated, and if Sarah knew, it would be the same as David knowing.

"Being busy is a good thing. It's better than David and me, doing nothing all day and wasting time." Sarah expressed her envy.

"Don't say that. Many people envy a sweet relationship like yours."

"Elizabeth, I suspect you're mocking me."

Elizabeth found herself laughing a lot when chatting with Sarah.

Hearing Sarah's words, she couldn't help but laugh again.

"No, I'm definitely not mocking you." She laughed while waving her hand lightly.

Their table was near the window.

From outside, one could clearly see them. Sarah was sweet and cute, and Elizabeth was stunningly beautiful.

Their table attracted a lot of attention.

Sure enough, not long after they sat down, two men approached them, seemingly wanting to join their table.

Elizabeth refused them.

Later, someone else came over, wanting to ask for Elizabeth's contact information.

Michael stood outside the restaurant, coldly watching everything.

Matthew parked the car and walked into the restaurant with Michael.

Matthew pointed in Elizabeth's direction, "Michael, look, isn't that Sarah? And the one sitting opposite her, isn't that Elizabeth?"

Michael had already seen them.

In just five minutes, two groups of people had approached them.

How come he never knew Elizabeth was so charming and attracted men so easily?

Elizabeth's hair was down in curls instead of tied up; it wasn't her usual habit.

And that dress she was wearing. Did she have to wear such a tight dress? Wouldn't it tear if she moved too much? Didn't she know her figure looked very sexy? With such a low neckline and her large chest, how obvious would it be if she bent down to drink soup?

Michael walked towards their reserved table with a gloomy face.

But Matthew dragged him to Elizabeth's table.

Elizabeth was sitting with her back to the door, so she didn't see Matthew and Michael come in.

Matthew walked over and called out to Sarah, "Sarah. Where's David? Why didn't he come with you? Who's this beautiful lady you're having dinner with? Aren't you going to introduce us?"

Sarah rolled her eyes at him, giving him a look that said, "Get lost."

Matthew pretended not to notice Sarah's hint. He moved to Sarah's side, sat down unceremoniously, and exaggeratedly exclaimed, "Isn't this Ms. Jones? Long time no see!"

He deliberately looked up at Michael standing beside him, "Isn't that right, Michael?" Then he turned to Elizabeth, "It's been so long, Ms. Jones. Shouldn't we have a meal together and a drink to catch up?"

Elizabeth frowned but remained slient.

Sarah, instead, instantly lost her patience.

She stood up angrily and said to Matthew, "Matthew! Can't Elizabeth and I have a quiet meal? What are you doing here?"
