Chapter 427 Stolen Kiss
Daniel raised his hand and swore, "I didn't tell anyone I was coming here today. My boss has no clue. He definitely doesn't know I brought the kids here to have fun."
Dean turned his head, pretending to be serious, "You wouldn't dare lie to me. Besides, if Elizabeth kicks me out of the house, I'll just crash at your place."
Inside the ticket booth, the amusement park employees were whispering.
"Wasn't that the CEO's assistant? I saw him on the company website. His name is Daniel."
"Yeah, I checked his employee ID. It's definitely Daniel, the CEO's assistant."
"Who are those two kids with him? I haven't heard that he's married. He's so young. If he were married, someone at the company would know."
"Did you see? Those kids are really good-looking."
"I think I've seen that girl on TV. She might be the daughter of the CEO of The Jones Group."
"The CEO of The Jones Group? Isn't that Mr. Thomas' rumored girlfriend?"
"No way! So those two kids are Mr. Thomas' children?"
"Should we notify the manager?"
Soon, the park manager hurried over. He opened the ticket booth door and asked one of the employees, "Are you sure? Are those really Mr. Thomas' kids?"
"We're not sure. We're just guessing."
The manager hesitated but decided to call Michael just in case.
"Mr. Thomas, sorry to bother you during your break."
"What's going on at Fantasy City Amusement Park?"
"Mr. Thomas, it's not about the park. Two kids came today, and the staff said the girl looks a lot like your daughter. I don't know your daughter, so I thought I'd call you."
Michael immediately stood up, excited, "Who is with them?"
The manager, sensing Michael's concern, replied nervously, "Daniel."
Michael pressed further, "Is there a tall, blond man with them?"
The manager nodded vigorously, "Yes, the staff mentioned a very handsome man with them."
Michael was already changing clothes, "Send more people to keep an eye on them. Report their movements to me immediately. I'm on my way."
The manager quickly agreed, "Yes, Mr. Thomas, I'll do that right away."
Michael was now certain that Daniel and Dean had taken Nolan and Pearl to Fantasy City Amusement Park.
That Daniel, knowing full well that Elizabeth had taken the kids back to the country, didn't even bother to tell him.
In the back seat of his Rolls-Royce, Michael called Daniel.
At the amusement park, Daniel and Dean were sitting close together on a bench, watching Nolan and Pearl.
When the phone rang, Daniel glanced at the caller ID and widened his eyes.
He handed the phone to Dean, putting a finger to his lips, "Shh."
Dean nodded, signaling him to answer.
Daniel nervously answered, "Mr. Thomas, what can I do for you?"
Michael's voice was emotionless, "Daniel, tell me where you are."
Daniel took a deep breath, "Mr. Thomas, I'm out with a friend."
Michael cut to the chase, "I know. You and Dean are at my amusement park with my son and daughter."
Daniel shot a pleading look at Dean.
"Mr. Thomas, they were bored at home, so I brought them out to play."
"I'm not mad. You did well. Send me your location. I'm on my way."
Daniel had no choice but to comply and sent his location.
Dean teased him, "Where's your backbone? Not very firm at all."
Daniel was almost in tears, "I can't help it. He's my boss."
Dean put an arm around his shoulder, "And I'm your boyfriend."
Daniel blushed and whispered in his ear, "I know. So, I serve my boss during the day and you at night."
Dean was amused by his words and looked around. The surrounding crowd was noisy, and no one was paying attention to them.
He smiled, "Daniel, you're getting bolder. Saying such shameless things."
Daniel's face was still red, "I learned it from you."
Dean looked at his apple-red cheek and couldn't resist. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was watching, he leaned in and kissed him.
Daniel pushed him away, whispering, "What are you doing? There are kids around! It's not appropriate!"
Dean smiled, "Relax, no one's paying attention."
Behind them, Michael cleared his throat loudly.
Daniel turned and saw Michael and his bodyguard.
He jumped up, "Mr. Thomas."
Michael ignored him, "Where are Pearl and Nolan?"
"They're inside. They've been in there for a while."
As they spoke, Pearl and Nolan came running out, sweaty and excited.
Pearl called out to Dean from a distance, "Dean, why didn't you come in? It's so much fun inside. Nolan and I completed the challenge. Let's go to the next ride!"
Michael walked over, "Pearl. Nolan."
Nolan turned, giving Daniel a meaningful look.
Daniel gave him a helpless look in return.
Pearl looked up, the excitement on her face vanishing instantly. "Dad, why are you here? I don't want to see you right now."
Michael knelt down, "Pearl, there are too many people here. Let me take you somewhere quieter, okay?"
Pearl shook her head, "I don't want to play with you. You hurt me and Mom. You made us cry. I don't want to forgive you yet."
Michael's voice was hoarse, "I'm sorry, sweetheart. It's all my fault. Give me a chance to make it up to you, okay?"
Pearl hesitated, "How will you make it up?"
Michael quickly said, "Pearl, I remember one Christmas, you and Nolan went to an amusement park and loved the stone castle there."
Pearl tilted her head, as if trying to remember, "I think I remember. So what?"
"Daddy saw how much you liked it, so I bought the design rights and built an identical stone castle here at Fantasy City Amusement Park."
Pearl's eyes lit up.
Michael continued, "And that castle isn't open to the public. It's yours and Nolan's, named after you two. Of course, you can invite your friends to play there anytime."
Pearl's eyes sparkled even more, "Really?"
Michael's smile widened, "Of course. Now, let me take you there. Pearl, can I hold your hand?"
