Chapter 503 Recording

Elizabeth hesitated, "Mr. Thomas, can you reconsider your terms?"

William replied coldly, "Ms. Jones, I made it clear from the start. I want Michael's shares in STellar Enterprises. All of them. Otherwise, you can forget about taking Quinn."

"William! Quinn is a free individual! How can you control his freedom and hurt him?"

William sneered, "Ms. Jones, if you need something from me, you better show the right attitude! Right now, you're the one begging me to hand Quinn over to you!"

Elizabeth pleaded, "I offered you the Jones Group. Isn't that enough? It would ensure you and Anthony live comfortably for the rest of your lives!"

William laughed coldly, "I told you, every time you refuse, my demands will increase. I've already allowed you to see Quinn, consider it interest. Next time you see Quinn, I want to see Michael's share transfer documents!"

He hung up the phone without hesitation.

Elizabeth collapsed onto her desk, sobbing uncontrollably.

She opened her chat history with Louis and sent him a message: [Louie, I asked Quinn. He agreed to donate his kidney to Eloise.]

Louis sent a voice message, sounding overjoyed, "That's great! Eloise is saved!"

Elizabeth forced a bitter smile and replied with a voice message, "Yes, Eloise is saved."

A few minutes later, Louis responded, "Elizabeth, something's off with your mood."

"Louie, I'll figure something out."

Louis immediately called her, "Elizabeth, are you feeling overwhelmed? Is William giving you a hard time? Does he want a lot of money? I have some savings, I can give it all to him."

Elizabeth tried to calm herself, "Louie, it's not just about money with William..."

Louis was incredulous, "He wants your company? No way! You can't agree to that! It's your and your father's hard work! Giving it to him would break Dean's heart too! You absolutely can't give it to him!"

Elizabeth shook her head, speaking painfully, "William doesn't care about my company. He wants Michael's shares in STellar Enterprises."

Louis gasped, "He's that greedy? How dare he? Isn't he afraid of Michael's retaliation?"

"It's about Quinn. William is certain Michael will give in."

Louis calmed down, "Elizabeth, listen to me. Don't agree to his unreasonable demands. Let's stop here. Everything happens for a reason."

He hung up the phone.

Elizabeth lay on her desk, feeling utterly powerless.

Why? She just wanted to save Eloise, why was it so difficult?

At the same time, Michael received a recording of Elizabeth's call.

He listened to it repeatedly, unable to believe it.

Elizabeth was willing to transfer his shares in STellar Enterprises to William to save Quinn?

Was Quinn that important to her?

And what about him? As her husband, how much did he matter to her? Was she really willing to give him up so easily?

Michael felt like he had fallen into an icy pit, his whole body cold and uncomfortable.

Daniel happened to walk in and was startled to see Michael hugging his arms. He quickly ran over, "Mr. Thomas, are you okay?"

Michael's voice was icy, "I'm fine. Leave."

Daniel didn't understand but obediently left.

Michael's hands trembled as he turned off the recording of Elizabeth's call.

He stood up and dialed a number.

"Get legal on the line. I need a share transfer document drafted."

Since Eloise disappeared, he had lost much of his will to live.

Now, he felt money was just an external possession. He only wanted to earn money for Elizabeth and the kids.

But now, Elizabeth wanted to save Quinn.

She wanted to take all his shares for Quinn.

She must be in agony over this decision.

So, if he solved everything for her, would she be less pained?

She was always so worried at home.

He didn't want to see her suffer. He wanted her to be carefree.

If giving up STellar Enterprises would make her happy, why should he refuse?

She probably found it hard to bring this up to him. So, he would take the initiative.

In the president's office at the Jones Group.

Elizabeth's phone rang. It was Sherry.

"Ms. Jones, I've started my job as a sales associate."

Elizabeth's voice was calm, "Good, work hard. There will be a bonus at the end of the month, in addition to your base salary."

"Okay, I will. Ms. Jones..."

Elizabeth asked, "Anything else?"

Sherry bit her lip, "I just wanted to ask, Ms. Jones, have you seen Quinn recently? How is that fool doing?"

Elizabeth frowned, "Quinn is not a fool. He's recovering well after his surgery."

Sherry sighed, "I know he's not a fool. It's just a familiar nickname! Others might use it to insult him, but when I call him that, he doesn't get mad."

Elizabeth was intrigued, "You spent a lot of time with Quinn?"

Sherry was eager to talk, "Of course! I spent the most time with him! Before we moved to Celestria, it was me and the servants taking care of him. My dad and brother couldn't be bothered. Ms. Jones, isn't Quinn back with his family? How is he doing? Does he have anyone to play with?"

Elizabeth felt a pang of discomfort. She didn't know how to answer Sherry's questions.

She swallowed hard and said, "Sherry, I don't know how Quinn is doing now. I haven't seen him in a long time."

Sherry was shocked, "How can that be? Isn't he with the Thomas family? Are they not letting you see him?"

"You're right. The Thomas family won't let me see him."

Sherry's voice was filled with worry, "Is he doing poorly then? I wish I could protect him, but he has to rely on himself."

Elizabeth changed the subject, "Sherry, focus on your job as a sales associate and see if you can adapt. If you have any issues, contact me anytime."

"Okay, Ms. Jones, I'll get to work."

After hanging up, Elizabeth called Matthew, "Sherry has moved. Michael and I found her a new place. She can move out of your house."

Matthew cheered, "Finally, I'm free of her! Elizabeth, you're my lifesaver! I owe you big time."

"No need. She's Michael's sister, helping her is our duty. Thank you for taking care of her and giving her a place to stay."

As soon as Matthew hung up, Michael's call came through. Matthew answered immediately.

"Michael, what's up with you and Elizabeth? Taking turns to call me?"
