Chapter 317 Just Call Me Eloise

Two days later, Louis was settled in the VIP room at Aurora Bay Harmony Health Hospital.

His father, Ruben Cox, stood by his bedside, tears streaming down his face.

He never imagined that his once-proud son, Louis, would look so frail after just a few days, even missing a finger.

Louis's right ring finger had been reattached by the best orthopedic and neurosurgeons at the hospital in Valoria, but due to the prolonged separation, it had lost most of its function. It only looked normal on the outside.

Louis spoke, his voice hoarse, "Dad, don't be sad for me. I'm okay."

Ruben wiped his tears, full of regret, "Louis, you were an outstanding surgeon. Now with your right hand like this, how will you ever hold a scalpel again?"

Louis managed a weak smile, "Dad, didn't you always say I was too focused on my medical dreams and not on taking over Grandpa's business? Now's the perfect time. You can handle the hospital, and I can take over Grandpa's legacy."

Ruben's eyes were filled with pain, "Louis, even if you do nothing, it's fine. I just want you to be healthy and safe."

Isabella had rushed over from home upon hearing the news.

She had abandoned her usual composed demeanor, not waiting for the bodyguards to open the door, and burst into the room, throwing herself at Louis's bedside.

"Louis, how did you end up like this after just one trip?" She began to sob uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face. A maid handed her a handkerchief, which she used to wipe her tears.

"Louis, it's not that I'm unreasonable. That Elizabeth isn't worth your affection. She's a divorced woman with two kids. I didn't interfere when you were being so attentive to her, thinking it was your personal business."

"But this time, you got kidnapped abroad and lost a finger because of her. You made me so worried. You've always been so obedient, diligent, and never gave me any trouble. Why are you so stubborn about this? There are plenty of good girls out there. Why do you insist on Elizabeth? If you keep this up, you'll end up ruined because of her!"

Isabella cried and clung to Louis's arm, sobbing uncontrollably.

Louis struggled to speak, "Mom... don't blame Elizabeth... it's not her fault... someone tipped off the Silver King, told him I was Ms. Johnson's assistant... that's why I was kidnapped... Elizabeth came to save me."

Isabella was stunned, her meticulously applied makeup ruined by her tears. She sat there, momentarily at a loss.

Ruben pulled her up, "What are you doing? Louis is finally back. He's injured but safe. He doesn't have the strength or energy to deal with this right now. Don't make it harder for him."

Isabella, still crying, stood up, "Louis, it's good that you're back. Rest well. I'll go home and have the servants make some soup for you."

Louis's voice was hoarse, "Goodbye, Mom. Don't be sad. I'll get better soon."

Isabella started crying again, "Louis, you're in pain and still comforting me. I'll go now. Rest well. With your dad here, I feel at ease."

Ruben called to the maid, "Take Isabella home to rest."

Valoria, inside Silver King's castle.

Elizabeth approached Silver King, "Silver King, I've put together the best treatment plan for your condition. You can check it out. Of course, you can also have your medical team review it to see if there are any issues."

A servant took the tablet from Elizabeth and handed it to Silver King. He glanced at the plan and then passed it to his team leader.

Elizabeth noticed a man she hadn't seen before.

Silver King introduced him, "This is Bob Gonzalez, the leader of my medical team. He'll be assisting you with the surgery and other treatments."

Elizabeth smiled and nodded at Bob.

Bob nodded back and began to study her treatment plan.

After reviewing it, Bob's face lit up with excitement, "Sir, this plan is perfect. I've seen similar flawless plans in Ms. Johnson's cases before. I never expected to see one here. Forgive me, but I can't find any flaws."

Silver King smiled slightly, "You have a good eye. Ms. Jones here is the final and most important disciple of Ms. Johnson, her most prized student."

Bob finally looked at Elizabeth with admiration.

Silver King said, "Since the plan is approved, you two can schedule the surgery as soon as possible. I'll cooperate."

Elizabeth and Bob both agreed. "Yes, Silver King."

Celestria, in the VIP room at Aurora Bay Harmony Health Hospital.

Eloise had heard that Louis was back and came to visit.

Louis looked at her gently, "Eloise."

Eloise, seeing his frail state, couldn't hold back her tears, "Louis."

She couldn't continue, covering her mouth with her hand.

Isabella was by the bed, serving Louis some chicken soup. Seeing Eloise, she asked Louis, "Who is this young lady?"

Louis was about to speak when Eloise said, "Mrs. Cox, I'm Eloise Thomas, a good friend of Louis."

She glanced nervously at Louis, "Louis, is it okay for me to say that I'm your friend?"

Louis gave her an encouraging look, "Ms. Thomas, of course, you can say that. We are friends."

Eloise had an undeniably sweet and charming appearance, with a demeanor that radiated innocence. Her high-end designer dress was unmistakably expensive, hinting at her affluent background.

Isabella, experienced in high society, could tell Eloise came from a wealthy family. But if she was single and so beautiful, why had she never seen or heard of her before?

However, she couldn't ask directly. She planned to ask Louis more about it after Eloise left.

Isabella handed the soup to Louis, "Drink slowly, it's hot."

Louis was about to take it with his left hand when Eloise took the bowl, "Mrs. Cox, let me do it." She looked at Louis, "Louis, your hand isn't convenient. Let me feed you."

Louis blushed, "Thank you, Ms. Thomas."

Eloise scooped a spoonful of soup, blew on it gently, and brought it to Louis's lips, "Louis, I've told you, just call me Eloise."

Louis looked into her eyes, took the soup, and softly said, "Okay, Eloise."
