Chapter 276 Video

Dean clicked on the video and was floored by what he saw. The man and woman on the screen were definitely not holding back.

Besides being shocked, he felt a pang of worry for Nolan. The kid was barely five. Was it really okay for him to have a video like this?

Dean started doubting himself big time.

Back in Valoria, Nolan had bugged him to teach him hacking. Dean thought the kid was a genius, so he showed him everything he knew. Now, he was second-guessing that decision.

Could Nolan really turn out bad, like Elizabeth had warned?

Dean shook his head, trying to clear the thought. Elizabeth was such a good person; no way she could have a bad kid. But then there was Michael. He was a violent guy, and Nolan's real dad.

After mulling it over, Dean decided to tell Elizabeth. She needed to know what was going on with Nolan. For the kid's safety, it was the right move.

Elizabeth was tidying up when she heard a knock. She looked up and saw Dean looking all serious. That was rare for him; he was usually so chill.

She told the robot, "Falcon, mop the floor," and walked over to Dean. "What's up, Dean? Can't fix the computer? If you can't do it, it's probably toast. I'll go tell Nolan and apologize."

She started heading for the stairs, but Dean grabbed her arm. "Elizabeth, it's something else."

He opened the laptop, set it on the table, and hit play on the video. "Elizabeth, check this out. It was in Nolan's hidden folder. It's been there a while. Luckily, it hasn't been fully played, so Nolan hasn't seen it."

Elizabeth sat down to watch. As the video continued, she couldn't help but cover her mouth in shock.

In the video, Anthony was on top of Calla, and they were really going at it. Calla looked like she was having the time of her life.

In public, Calla was always so proper. Who would've thought she was like this in private?

Elizabeth was stunned. She couldn't believe Calla and Anthony had been together for so long.

And Nolan—how did he know about their secret meet-up? How did he manage to film it? Did he use his hacking skills?

Elizabeth broke out in a cold sweat. She was really worried about Nolan. He was just a kid. He should be having fun, not getting mixed up in this mess because of her and Michael's issues.

She realized she couldn't let her messed-up relationship with Michael affect the kids anymore. She felt bad for Michael too. He probably had no clue.

Elizabeth had heard that even though Calla had moved out, Michael was still in touch with her. He needed her for Eloise's follow-up treatment.

Elizabeth rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on.

Eloise's surgery was at a critical stage, and the follow-up treatment needed to be handled with extreme care. One wrong move could undo all the progress they had made.

But would Calla even care?

If the surgery failed, it would just be another botched case for Calla. The worst that could happen to her was having to return Michael's money. But for Eloise, it was her whole life on the line.

Thinking about it made Elizabeth's heart ache for Eloise. But then she thought about Michael and his attitude towards Eloise, and her sympathy faded. These two had made her afraid to believe in love again and had driven her away from Michael.

She was torn about whether to tell Michael about the video. She worried that if she did, he might think she was just jealous of Calla or even accuse her of setting Calla up. The video was clearly a secret recording, after all. He might not hold Calla accountable and instead take out his anger on Elizabeth.

So, she decided, 'Forget it; don't tell him. The less trouble, the better.'

She asked Dean to transfer the video to her computer and then permanently delete the original file from Nolan's computer. She couldn't let Nolan take any risks, not even a little.

Sarah and David's wedding was at a seaside villa. Elizabeth and Dean brought the kids a day early. Sarah was trying on her wedding dress.

"Elizabeth, do you think I've gained weight? This dress feels a bit tight," Sarah asked.

Elizabeth looked over and saw the dress fit perfectly. Smiling, she walked over and hugged Sarah. "Sarah, you haven't gained any weight. You look amazing."

Sarah twirled in her dress. "Really, Elizabeth? No lying."

Elizabeth reassured her, "Sarah, don't be nervous. Tomorrow you'll be the most beautiful bride. David won't be able to take his eyes off you."

Sarah held her hand. "Elizabeth, I'm so nervous, I can hardly breathe!"

Elizabeth smiled. "Sarah, it's normal to feel nervous. Getting married is a big deal!"

She brought Pearl and Nolan over. "Let them keep you company tomorrow. You won't be nervous with them around."

Pearl hugged Sarah's leg. "Sarah, you're the most beautiful!"

Nolan stood by, looking serious. "Sarah, no matter what happens tomorrow, I'll protect you!"

Sarah squatted down, hugging Nolan and Pearl. She laughed, "I'm not that fragile, but thank you! I love you both!"

Dean took Pearl and Nolan out to play, leaving Elizabeth and Sarah alone.

Sarah looked at Elizabeth. "You seem like you have something on your mind. Are you worried about my wedding? Don't be. If David ever treats me badly, I'll just divorce him!"

Elizabeth quickly covered her mouth. "Sarah, you're getting married tomorrow. Don't say that!"

Sarah scoffed. "You still believe in that?"

Elizabeth looked down, twisting her fingers. "Sarah, I'm pregnant."

Sarah's eyes widened. "Pregnant again? Whose child is it?"
