Chapter 82 She Was Savoring

She nuzzled her nose into her pillow, pulling the blanket up to wrap her tiny frame completely. It felt like Michael was still there, his limbs wrapped around her.

Elizabeth shut her eyes, thinking about everything Michael had done to her. She traced her delicate finger from her forehead, down her nose, and finally to her lips.

She touched her slightly swollen lips, remembering Michael's kisses from earlier. Her hand moved to her collarbone, then to her breasts through her thin cotton pajamas. She could still feel Michael's big hands on her, holding her tightly.

Her breasts felt firm under her touch, but she couldn't hold them like Michael did. She imagined his lips and tongue on her nipples, and her fingertips brushed over them, making them hard. Even through her pajamas, she could feel them poking out.

Her hand trembled as it moved to her lower abdomen and suddenly stopped. She gently caressed her slightly swollen belly, as if comforting the baby, hoping that the events of the afternoon hadn't harmed them. Elizabeth also felt a bit regretful about her indulgence that afternoon.

Meanwhile, outside their neighborhood, a black Rolls-Royce Phantom was parked under some trees. Joshua, the driver, sat quietly, unsure of what Mary wanted. There seemed to be only tension and silence in the car.

Mary, in the back seat, stared out the window at the old, shabby neighborhood. The dim streetlights showed a place that had seen better days, with wild plants and peeling paint. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages, and stray dogs and cats roamed around.

Mary glanced at the row of renovated houses outside the gate and asked Joshua, "Do you think Michael's been here all day?"

Joshua replied with respect, "Yes, Mrs. Thomas."

Mary continued, "Is their place big? Spacious?"

Joshua hesitated, then said, "It's very small. I only got a quick look inside. Their living room and dining room together aren't even as big as Mr. Thomas's bathroom. There are just two bedrooms."

Mary asked, "Only two bedrooms? Nancy in one, Elizabeth in the other. So where was Michael all day?"

Joshua answered carefully, "I heard from the bodyguard that Mr. Thomas and Elizabeth were in her bedroom all day. At one point, Mr. Thomas even called for a change of clothes and toiletries. They might have already..."

Joshua didn't finish his sentence.

Mary slammed her fist on the back seat. "Damn it! She actually pulled Michael into bed, how shameless! Doesn't she know Michael's still recovering? Isn't she worried about his leg injury? She clearly doesn't care about him at all!"

Mary pointed to the row of houses by the gate. "Is this where Michael got hurt a few days ago?"

Joshua looked where she was pointing. "Yes, Mrs. Thomas. The house you ordered to be repaired is right there."

Mary fumed, "It seems Michael's addicted to her!"

Joshua tried to defend Michael. "But, Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Thomas seemed much better after coming back from here! Maybe his relationship with Elizabeth is improving. Isn't that a good thing?"

Mary snapped, "Good? A divorce is a good thing for them. I don't accept Elizabeth as Michael's wife anymore!"

Joshua thought to himself, 'You were the one who found Elizabeth in the first place,' but he didn't dare say it out loud.

Learning abbout the situation, Mary went back to the old mansion.

The next morning, Michael got up and walked into the dining room for breakfast.

Seeing him, Susan quickly set the table and greeted him with a smile, "Mr. Thomas, aren't you going to sleep a bit more? You're still recovering. But you look really good today, not like someone who just had a serious illness."

Michael sat down and took a sip of milk. "I feel pretty good today. My pneumonia should be cured."

Susan beamed, "Really, Mr. Thomas? That's great. Mrs. Thomas will be happy to hear that too."

Michael didn't say anything, just focused on his breakfast.

After eating, he changed his clothes and told Joshua to take him to the office.

Joshua was surprised. "Mr. Thomas, you were still running a fever yesterday. Are you sure you don't want to rest another day? There's nothing urgent at the office. Your health is the most important."

Michael got into the car. "No problem, I'm fine."

STellar Enterprises.

In the CEO's office on the top floor, Michael sat behind his desk and called Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, it's Michael."

Elizabeth held her phone in silence, and didn't know what to say, especially after their intimate moment yesterday. She didn't expect him to call so soon.

Michael continued, "Elizabeth, I've decided. I'm going to invest $1 billion in The Jones Group under the name of STellar Enterprises to help you save Robert's company."

Elizabeth evaded, saying, "Michael, do you think this is a game? $1 billion is not a small amount. Stop being impulsive."

Michael sat up straight. "Of course I take it seriously. Listen, reject Samuel's investment. You haven't signed any contracts yet, and verbal agreements have no legal effect. Once you reject him, my funds will be transferred immediately. You can even sign the contract after my funds are in place."

Elizabeth was stunned. "Michael, is your company's fund endless? Is it that worthless? Alright, stop talking, I have other plans."

Michael asked anxiously, "What's that?"
