Chapter 508 Arrest

Louis looked at her encouragingly. "Elizabeth, if you have any ideas, just say them."

Elizabeth leaned in close to Louis and whispered her plan in his ear.

Louis nodded. "I think this could work. Let's give it a shot."

Three days after Eloise and Quinn's surgery, Anthony got the news and stormed into the hospital with a large group of bodyguards.

He and his entourage showed up in the hospital's inpatient building, only to be stopped by security.

"Sir, I'm sorry, but this is a medical facility. We can't have any disturbances here."

Since this wasn't Celestria's Aurora Bay, so he couldn't be too arrogant.

He smiled at the head of security. "My uncle and aunt are hospitalized here. I'm here to visit them."

The head of security patiently asked, "Could you please tell me your uncle and aunt's names, what illness they have, and which department and room they are in?"

Anthony rolled his eyes and said, "My uncle is Quinn Reed, and my aunt is Eloise Thomas. They had kidney transplant surgery. As for their room number, I need to find out."

The head of security gestured to a nearby guard, who immediately went to verify the information.

Anthony stood confidently, surveying the top-tier hospital in this foreign country.

Soon, the guard returned and whispered something to the head of security.

The head of security turned to Anthony. "Sir, the two people you mentioned are indeed our patients. However, your aunt, Ms. Thomas, is in the ICU and cannot be visited at any time. As for your uncle, Mr. Reed, he just had surgery. You can visit him alone, but your entourage must wait outside the building."

Anthony didn't want to cause any more trouble, so he instructed his bodyguards to wait outside the building for his orders.

The head of security assigned a subordinate to lead Anthony to Quinn and Eloise's rooms.

Watching them leave, the head of security took out his phone and immediately called Elizabeth.

"Ms. Jones, the man named Anthony Thomas you mentioned has shown up. He's heading towards your family's rooms now."

Sitting on a bench in the hallway outside the patient rooms, Elizabeth thanked the head of security and hung up the phone.

She turned to Louis. "Anthony is on his way."

Louis nodded knowingly. "Alright, I'll call the police right away."

Anthony arrived outside Quinn's room.

Seeing Elizabeth sitting on the bench, he sneered. "Elizabeth, I'm here. You should know why I'm here, right?"

Elizabeth looked at him coldly. "You're not here to take care of Quinn, are you? If you plan to take him away, that's impossible. He's still in the observation period. Taking him away now could kill him on the way. Can you bear that responsibility?"

Anthony scoffed. "Elizabeth, stop exaggerating! He just had surgery. How serious could it be?"

Elizabeth stood up, pulling Louis up with her. "Louis, let's go. Someone's here to take care of Quinn. We don't need to worry about him anymore."

Anthony quickly grabbed her arm. "Elizabeth, don't go! What's Quinn's condition?"

Elizabeth nodded towards the room door. "Quinn is right there. Go see for yourself."

Anthony, half-believing, walked into Quinn's room.

Quinn was hooked up to various tubes, with machines beeping around him.

A nurse saw him enter and politely asked, "Are you here to take care of Quinn?"

Anthony, confused, nodded. "Yeah, I'm his nephew."

The nurse handed him a notebook and pen. "This is for recording the patient's urine output every half hour."

She pointed to some cotton swabs on the table. "The patient can't drink water yet, so you'll need to use these to moisten his lips."

Anthony's head spun. "He can't urinate on his own?"

The nurse smiled. "The patient just had surgery and can't move much. He has a catheter, and you need to watch for any signs of infection."

Anthony's face darkened.

After explaining, the nurse left.

Anthony sat by the bed, about to check if Quinn was really asleep, when several police officers suddenly entered the room.

Two officers stood on either side of him, firmly holding his arms.

Anthony's eyes widened in fear. "I haven't committed any crime! Why are you arresting me?"

Elizabeth walked in, coldly saying, "Anthony, I've handed over evidence of you abusing Quinn to the judge. Do you have anything to say?"

Anthony shouted, "I never abused him! Your evidence is fake!"

Elizabeth gave him a cold glance. "I'm not wasting words with you. If you have something to say, tell it to the police."

The police took Anthony away.

Despite being escorted by the police, Anthony glared at Elizabeth with a vicious look.

"Elizabeth, I didn't expect this from you! Mark my words, I'll find a way out, and I'll take Quinn with me!"

Elizabeth and Louis entered Quinn's room.

Quinn, who had been pretending to sleep, opened his eyes. "Elizabeth, is he gone?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Yes, the police took him away. He won't bother you for a while. The judge will issue a restraining order. If he violates it more than three times, he'll face jail time, so he won't dare."

Quinn nodded. "Alright. So, have you figured out where to hide me?"

"Yes. We're not in a rush now. Focus on recovering in the hospital. Once you're fully healed, Louis and I will take you there."

Quinn nodded. "That puts my mind at ease."

Elizabeth tucked him in. "Rest well. Once you can walk on your own, I'll take you to see Eloise."

Hearing that, Quinn smiled happily.

In the ICU, Eloise finally woke up, looking a bit weak.

"Elizabeth, you came to see me."

Elizabeth gently held her hand. "Eloise, I'm here. You have no idea how much we've missed you."

Eloise's tired face showed a hint of guilt. "I'm sorry for causing so much trouble. I didn't want you to see me like this and feel sad. But I didn't realize not seeing me would make you even sadder. It's my fault. I'm sorry."
