Chapter 279 Forced Kiss

At that moment, Elizabeth's mind was racing, thinking about Calla. She couldn't wait to see Michael's face when he found out Calla had cheated on him with his own nephew.

Michael was stunned by her revelation, his face a mix of anger and confusion. He just stared at her, speechless.

Elizabeth smirked to herself, enjoying his discomfort.

Suddenly, Michael grabbed her and pinned her to the bed. "If he doesn't care, then why should I?" he said.

Elizabeth was shocked by his shamelessness. She said, "Michael, if I start dating Carter, we'd be a real couple. You'd be out of the picture! What are you even thinking?"

Michael's face was inches from hers, his eyes reflecting her panic. He seemed to savor her fear, propping himself up and gently stroking her hair.

Elizabeth felt anything but comforted. A shiver of revulsion ran down her spine. His touch, meant to be soothing, only made her more uneasy.

She turned her head away, trying to avoid his gaze.

Michael wasn't having it. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him.

He leaned in, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, "Elizabeth, I can be your secret. Not even a lover. Whenever I want you, you'll be in my bed."

His tone was soft, his breath warm against her neck, yet a chill far colder than any winter wind snaked down her spine. The gentle caress of his words belied their terrifying nature.

Elizabeth didn't dare resist. She knew struggling against him would be pointless; if he decided to take her tonight, she was helpless to stop him.

She trembled, looked at him, and said, "Sarah's getting married tomorrow. I need to be with her tonight. If she can't find me, she'll worry. And David will help her look for me."

Before she could finish, her phone rang. It was Sarah. "Elizabeth, where are you? Why aren't you on the beach?" she asked.

Under Michael's watchful eyes, Elizabeth answered, "Sarah, I'm a bit tired. I went back to the room."

Sarah replied, "I checked your room, and you weren't there."

Elizabeth panicked and said, "I must have gone to the wrong room. They all look the same here."

Sarah said, "Alright, our room is on the second floor, at the end. It's the one with the big bed. Go rest. Don't get lost. I'll come find you soon."

Elizabeth responded, "Okay."

Then, Michael finally got off her.

Elizabeth quickly got up, straightening her clothes.

But Michael blocked the door, still not letting her leave.

Elizabeth looked up helplessly and said, "Michael, stop it. Sarah's waiting for me."

Michael pulled her into a tight embrace, pressing her against the door and kissing her hard.

That day at the signing event, he saw her and Carter interacting sweetly on stage. Michael was insanely jealous and had wanted to do this ever since.

He kissed her with such intensity it felt like he was trying to steal her breath, leaving her unable to think of anyone else.

He wanted her to be his. No one else could have her.

Michael's hand gripped Elizabeth's waist, while the other held the back of her neck, pressing her body tightly against his.

Elizabeth struggled in his arms, pushing against his chest. "Michael, I can't breathe!"

He finally let her go, and Elizabeth slid down the door, completely drained.

Michael quickly scooped her up, holding her waist and resting his forehead against hers. "You've gotten this weak after just a few days apart?" he murmured.

He kissed her again, softer this time. His voice turned husky. "I don't want to let you go. What should I do?"

He grabbed her hand, guiding it to his body.

Elizabeth felt the hardness below and quickly pulled her hand back, fear in her eyes.

She looked up, her voice low and strained. "Michael! I told you to stop!"

Michael hugged her, rubbing against her. "I know. I'll let you go tonight. But don't forget, you owe me one."

He bent slightly, his hardness pressing against her waist, making her heart race with fear.

Finally, he stood up and opened the door for her. "Go," he said.

Elizabeth looked at him in disbelief. Was it really that simple? Was he really letting her go so easily?

She wanted to confirm and asked, "You're not leaving?"

Michael's deep eyes looked at her, then glanced suggestively at his lower half. "Are you sure? You want me to go out like this? Or do you want to stay and help me?"

Following his gaze, Elizabeth saw the bulge in his suit pants, the belt buckle straining.

She took one look at the size and bolted out the door, fleeing in panic.

Behind her, she heard Michael's frustrated sigh as he closed the door.

Elizabeth stepped out, glancing around nervously.

She hurried downstairs, quickly making her way to the room she shared with Sarah on the second floor.

Entering the room, she didn't dare turn on the light. Using the moonlight from the window, she found her way to the bed and lay down.

She placed her hand over her heart, trying to calm her racing pulse.

She couldn't understand why Michael still wanted to sleep with her. After everything that had happened, shouldn't he hate her and stay away? Why did he still act like he couldn't live without her?

The tangled threads of their relationship felt more knotted than ever.

Had Michael broken up with Calla?

If they hadn't broken up, wouldn't that make Elizabeth the other woman?

If they had broken up, would that video not harm Calla at all?

Thinking of this, Elizabeth felt conflicted.

She wanted Calla to be severely punished. But she also hoped Michael had already broken up with Calla.

On the beach, Dean was helping Pearl and Nolan collect pretty shells.

Eloise followed behind, picking up shells as well.

Daniel walked over, his gaze settling on Dean. "Come help me entertain the kids!" Dean said, grinning up at him.

Yet Daniel crouched down, whispering, "Elizabeth was acting strange tonight. Don't you think?"

Dean's smile vanished, replaced by a serious expression. "Daniel," he said, his voice low, "you're here for the wedding. Not to cause trouble for Elizabeth, understand?"

Hearing this, Daniel quickly pulled him aside and said, "Why are you getting mad? I'm just asking. Don't you think she's been acting weird lately? Doesn't it make you curious if something's wrong?"

Dean thought for a moment, mumbling, "Yeah, Elizabeth has been acting strange. She hasn't even been eating her favorite barbecue."

Daniel said, "Right? I have a cousin who's been acting just like Elizabeth lately."

Dean asked, "Your cousin? What's that got to do with anything?"

Daniel replied, "She's pregnant."
