Chapter 344 Dirty Mouth, Don't Keep It

Michael, dressed in all black, sat there with a blank expression.

"I think everyone here knows what happened at the company. I'm giving you seven minutes. Each of you has one chance to come clean. Write down everything you know on the paper in front of you. No detail is too small."

"Elizabeth has already called the police, but there's still a chance to make things right. If you know something and don't speak up, you'll face my methods before you get handed over to the police."

Dean handed out blank sheets of paper and pens to everyone.

A bodyguard started a timer on his phone, which mimicked the ticking of an old-fashioned clock, making the atmosphere even more tense.

Everyone kept their heads down, writing in silence.

Five minutes later, the conference room door was locked, and a bodyguard stood guard.

Michael and Dean went into the office.

Inside the conference room, someone started stirring up trouble.

"This is The Jones Group, not Stellar Enterprises. What can Michael really do to us? This is illegal detention! We can call the police and have him arrested!"

Most people stayed quiet, waiting.

After all, The Jones Group offered great salaries and benefits, and Elizabeth was a fair boss. If this issue wasn't resolved smoothly, they'd all be out of a job.

No one wanted to pay for someone else's mistake.

Elizabeth called. "Michael, how's it going?"

She wasn't at the office and was clearly anxious.

Michael could hear the worry in her voice. "Just as Dean suspected, someone in the tech department caused trouble, got blackmailed with a video, and stole the company's chip."

Elizabeth couldn't hide her anxiety. "I just saw the news. FutureTech Robotics Group held a press conference claiming they have new core technology. Jennifer boasted that they'd become industry leaders. She's openly challenging me."

Michael reassured her. "Don't worry too much. Dean just confirmed that even if Jennifer has the chip, it won't pose a significant threat to you."

Elizabeth was puzzled. "How so?"

Dean stepped in. "Elizabeth, all the technology in that chip was patented. We have 56 patents. If Jennifer uses it, she'll face legal consequences. I was panicking at first and forgot about this."

Elizabeth sighed in relief. "That's good. What about the employee who sold out the company?"

Dean took the phone. "We've identified the culprit. The police will take him away when they arrive."

Elizabeth was completely relieved. "You solved the problem so quickly. Does that make me look useless?"

Dean teased her. "Not at all. After all, who else but you could know someone as capable as Michael?"

He glanced at Michael, who was sitting with his legs crossed, looking quite pleased.

When the receptionist brought the police over, Dean had the conference room door opened and pointed directly at a middle-aged man. "Officer, that's him. Drew Collins."

The police walked over and took Drew away.

Everyone looked at him. Wasn't he the one causing trouble earlier?

Drew struggled and shouted at Dean, "You disgusting creep! You hang around Elizabeth all day, playing with her and Michael's assistant! You four are shameless! I've had enough of you all! Is it because you have a grudge against me that the police arrested me? Do you have any evidence?"

Dean was about to hit him, but Michael held him back.

Dean tried to break free. "Let me go, I'll shut him up!"

Michael didn't let go and addressed Drew. "You molested an underage girl at the hotel, got caught on camera, and then were blackmailed. How do you explain that?"

Drew's eyes widened. "How do you know... No! I didn't! I didn't do it!"

Michael waved his hand. "Explain it to the police."

Dean shouted, "On behalf of Elizabeth, you're fired! Not only will you go to jail, but you'll also compensate the company for its losses!"

The conference room had surveillance, and Drew's foul language was fully recorded.

As the police took Drew away, Michael suddenly punched him hard in the face.

The blow was so strong that Drew's left cheek swelled instantly, and blood trickled from his mouth.

Michael's face was cold. "With a mouth that dirty, you don't need it."

Drew looked at Michael in terror, mumbling, "Michael! The police are right here! This is personal revenge!"

One of the officers raised a hand to stop Michael. "Mr. Thomas, please don't interfere with our duties."

Michael shook his hand. "Sorry, slipped. Please, go ahead."

He signaled to Dean, who escorted the police downstairs.

Dean returned to reassure everyone. "Don't worry, we patented the technology, so the company is protected. Everything's fine. Get back to work."

The tech department, which had been on edge, finally relaxed, and everyone returned to their tasks.

Dean called Elizabeth to tell her the issue was resolved.

Elizabeth sounded a bit helpless. "Dean, the company had such a big problem, and I didn't even need to step in. It makes us look useless."

Dean scratched his head. "Not really. Elizabeth, your ex-husband said we need to upgrade the technology quickly to prevent Jennifer from decoding the chip."

Elizabeth nodded. "Alright, you're the best at this. I trust you."

Dean was confident. "I'll get it done quickly."

Michael spoke up. "I'm leaving."

He stood up and headed for the door, with two bodyguards following closely.

Dean stood up with a smile. "Mr. Thomas, let me see you out. Take care."

On Monday, The Jones Group's social media announced an upgrade to their robot core system.

The upgraded robots would be more responsive, move more smoothly, and have more functions, all at the same price.

As soon as the news was released, orders poured in from various partners.

In the office, Elizabeth noticed the dark circles under Dean's eyes. "Dean, you've worked hard these past few days."

Dean smiled. "This is what I'm here for. I'm happy to do it!"

At FutureTech Robotics Group.

Jennifer, who had been smug recently, now stared at her computer screen, seething as she saw Elizabeth's smiling face in the news.

She angrily swept the papers off her desk.

Her assistant stood by, trembling, too scared to say a word.
