Chapter 594 Disrupt the Ceremony
The servant's eyes were filled with helplessness. "Ms. Murphy, Michael never liked you. You should stop forcing it. Why don't you consider Zander? He likes you, even though you're carrying someone else's child."
Cordelia remained unmoved.
She stood up. "Alright, you don't need to come with me to Aurora Bay this time. You're getting older and it's hard for you to move around. Just stay home."
As she spoke, she walked out. "I'm going to have my baby in Aurora Bay, then do a paternity test with Michael. I want them to regret it for the rest of their lives!"
Behind her, Zander slowly emerged from behind a pillar, his eyes filled with pain.
At FutureTech Robotics Group, Jennifer was brewing a plot.
Elizabeth and Michael's third wedding was just around the corner.
For years, she had wanted Elizabeth dead, but she never succeeded.
After Michael lost his memory, she thought Elizabeth would be defenseless, but Michael quickly returned.
Not only did he reclaim Stellar Enterprises, but he also helped Elizabeth grow the Jones Group even stronger.
Jennifer's hatred for Elizabeth and Michael tormented her soul day and night.
She hated them both. They were responsible for her beloved daughter's death.
She swore that one day, she would send them both to hell.
In business, she could no longer compete with Elizabeth.
Jennifer decided to take a different approach. She hired some people from the black market to take out Elizabeth and Michael on their wedding day.
Far away in Valoria, Nolan had returned home after completing his studies. The entertainment company he built for Sherry was thriving.
Sherry decided to stay in Valoria to develop her career. After all, she had grown up there.
She was now a well-known model in Valoria.
Matthew often flew over to see her, only to be scolded and then fly back dejectedly.
Their friends always teased him at gatherings. Matthew didn't mind.
After all, he had treated Sherry terribly in the past.
When he finally realized his feelings for her, it seemed too late.
But it didn't matter. Matthew downed a drink, thinking bitterly that he had decades to wait for her.
As long as she didn't date or marry anyone else, he would keep pursuing her until she agreed.
Tomorrow was Elizabeth and Michael's wedding day.
Michael had fully recovered. He wanted to have the wedding sooner, but Elizabeth disagreed.
Her reason was that if he couldn't lift her during the ceremony, it would be too embarrassing.
Michael thought about it and agreed.
They were actually waiting for Nolan to graduate and return home.
With all the kids present, the wedding would be complete.
Matthew and the others were at a bar, calling Michael to celebrate his last night of being single.
Michael said, "I've never been single. Celebrate on your own."
He hung up decisively and cuddled with Elizabeth in bed.
"Elizabeth, let's sleep. We have a wedding tomorrow."
Elizabeth laughed. "Matthew must be cursing me again."
Michael kissed her. "Doesn't matter, I've got your back."
Elizabeth covered his mouth with her hand. "Don't forget tomorrow's schedule. You go to the hotel first. I'll leave from Whispering Pines Estates and meet you there."
Michael moved her hand away and continued kissing her. "I know. I remember everything."
In the midst of their passion, Elizabeth reminded him, "Don't forget to tell Dean to take care of Nolan and Pearl tomorrow."
"I won't forget."
On the wedding day, Michael went to the hotel early to check the arrangements and security.
The makeup artist finished Elizabeth's look and adjusted her wedding dress.
"Ms. Jones, we're ready to go."
Elizabeth looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a wave of emotion.
She was only thirty, and this was her third time wearing a wedding dress.
Elizabeth lifted the hem of her dress and got into the wedding car.
The driver was wearing a mask today. She casually asked, "Do you have a cold?"
The driver didn't answer, just glanced at her through the rearview mirror.
Last night, Michael had worn her out. She needed to catch up on sleep.
As soon as she got in the car, she tilted her head and fell asleep.
When Elizabeth woke up, the car was parked by the roadside. She groggily asked, "Are we at the hotel?"
No one answered.
Instead, two men in black dragged her out of the car and shoved her into a black SUV.
Elizabeth tried to clear her head.
She didn't resist, just asked, "Who sent you?"
The men in black remained silent.
Elizabeth already had an answer in her mind.
These men looked like they were from the border region. They must have been sent by Cordelia.
Cordelia kidnapping her on the wedding day was clearly an attempt to disrupt the ceremony.
Elizabeth sighed softly. Cordelia's baby was due soon. Why wasn't she staying in Majestic City to give birth peacefully instead of causing trouble here?
Anyway, Elizabeth and Michael had already registered their marriage at City Hall. Even if Cordelia ruined the wedding, their marriage would still be valid. They could always have another ceremony later.
Elizabeth thought indifferently. After all, this wasn't their first wedding.
Cordelia's kidnapping was just a delay tactic to prevent her from reaching the wedding on time.
Her phone and purse were still in the wedding car, so she couldn't contact Michael to inform him of the situation.
The wedding car driver must have been bribed by Cordelia too.
With nothing else to do, Elizabeth lay down in the back seat, pulled up the divider, and went back to sleep.
In the wedding car, Cordelia sat in the back, heavily pregnant, wearing a custom-made wedding dress, her makeup flawless, and a smile on her face.
She gently stroked her belly and whispered, "Baby, we're about to see Daddy. Are you excited?"
She instructed the driver, "Drive faster. I need to see Michael immediately."
The driver hesitated. "Ms. Murphy, your condition..."
Cordelia snapped, "That's none of your business! Just drive!"
The driver stepped on the gas, speeding towards the hotel.
Cordelia looked out the window, thinking about how different Michael's world was. The people here seemed much more relaxed than those in Majestic City.
On the road, in a black Cadillac, Zander coldly instructed his driver, "See that wedding car ahead? Follow it! Don't lose it!"
