Chapter 501 You Don't Need to Stop

Finally, Sherry couldn't take the pain anymore and started to cry softly.

Matthew heard her quiet sobs and stopped what he was doing, looking at her with a confused expression. "Sherry, what's wrong? Did I hurt you? Don't cry, I'll make it better."

He leaned down and gently kissed the tears on her face, softly stroking her skin. "Don't cry, I'll take care of you."

Despite his comforting words, he continued his movements.

Suddenly, he paused as if something clicked. "Are you in pain? Should I stop?"

Sherry wrapped her arms around his neck, her tear-filled eyes meeting his. "No, you don't have to stop."

Encouraged, Matthew's movements became more intense.

Finally, Matthew stopped. He let out a loud groan and released inside Sherry.

Their trembling bodies clung tightly to each other.

Matthew buried his head between her breasts, taking a deep, satisfied breath. "Sherry, I didn't expect you to feel this good."

The flush on Sherry's face and body began to fade. She slowly calmed down, extricating herself from Matthew's embrace and struggling to stand up.

Matthew remained lying on the floor. Sherry grabbed his arm and tried to drag him out, thinking, 'If he sleeps here all night, he'll definitely catch a cold.'

But Matthew was too heavy in his sleep, and Sherry had to exert a lot of effort to drag him to the carpet outside.

Unable to lift him onto the bed, she placed a pillow under his head and covered him with a blanket from the bed.

She rolled Matthew's body into the blanket.

Exhausted, Sherry collapsed onto the bed, spreading out in a starfish position, panting heavily.

Her whole body felt like it had been taken apart, and her back burned with pain.

The worst pain was between her legs, as if she had been struck with an iron rod.

She sighed and decided to get up.

She couldn't fall asleep here. When Matthew woke up, they wouldn't be able to face each other after what had happened.

She found her underwear on the bathroom floor, but both pieces were too wet to wear.

Naked, she slipped her dress on and grabbed Matthew's jacket from the bed to cover herself.

She picked up her shoes and quietly opened the door to leave.

She avoided the elevator, fearing she might run into someone from the bar or Owen's people.

Wrapping herself tightly in the black suit jacket, she carefully made her way down the stairs.

On the last floor, she looked around, saw no one, and quickly dashed to the bar's back door, gently opening it and running out.

On the street, she ran wildly, hailing a cab and giving the driver Matthew's apartment address.

In the cab, she clutched her chest, her heart still pounding.

She couldn't go back to that bar, and she wouldn't be able to get her paycheck. She'd have to find another job.

Although the job paid well, it clearly wasn't suitable for her. She should take Matthew's advice and find a decent job for a while.

Back at Matthew's apartment, she entered the code and went inside. As expected, it was dark and empty.

She hurried to her room, quickly washed up, and fell asleep.

The next morning, Matthew woke up with a pounding headache. He stared at his naked body in disbelief.

He had slept on the floor, completely naked.

He glanced at his lower body, feeling a mix of emotions.

He had dreamed about that annoying Sherry last night. In the dream, they had done those things.

Matthew covered his face, finding the dream too embarrassing to recall.

He needed to start dating. Otherwise, he might actually start thinking Sherry was attractive.

At the Jones Group Building.

Sherry approached the front desk, feeling a bit awkward. "Hi, are you hiring?"

The receptionist smiled. "Hello! Our tech department is hiring. If you're interested, I can connect you with the director."

Hearing "tech department," Sherry felt embarrassed. She didn't have the qualifications.

"No, thank you," she said awkwardly.

Suddenly, the receptionist respectfully greeted someone behind her. "Good morning, Ms. Jones!"

Sherry turned and saw Elizabeth and a blond man heading to the elevator.

She had seen Elizabeth before, in Quinn's hospital room.

She had stood outside the door, watching Elizabeth speak gently to Quinn.

She had thought the doctor seemed kind.

She never imagined that the doctor she had glimpsed would be her sister-in-law.

Sherry had come to the Jones Group Building on a whim.

After what happened with Matthew, she couldn't pretend nothing had happened. Living under the same roof, she feared she might accidentally mention that night.

Her father had told her that Michael was her biological brother and Elizabeth her sister-in-law. If she ever needed help, she should contact Elizabeth.

She wanted to change jobs and living arrangements but felt lost. So, she came to the Jones Group Building, hoping for a stroke of luck.

But seeing Elizabeth made her nervous.

What if Elizabeth questioned her?

She decided to return to Matthew's apartment and think things over.

Elizabeth returned from inspecting the sales floor and entered Dean's office.

"Dean, did you see the young woman standing by the front desk earlier?"

Dean shook his head, confused. "I didn't notice. The front desk is always full of girls."

"I wasn't talking about our employees. I meant the girl in the white dress. She looked a bit disheveled."

"Now that you mention it, I think I remember. She didn't look like she was from Celestria. But she was quite pretty."

"That was Sherry Reed, Michael's sister. I want to know why she was here. Could she be in trouble?"

Dean immediately called the front desk. "Is the girl in the white dress still there?"

"Mr. Palmer, she's just leaving."

"Stop her! Bring her to the top floor!"

"Yes, Mr. Palmer."

The receptionist quickly brought Sherry upstairs.

Elizabeth waited for her at Dean's office door. Seeing her, Elizabeth asked, "Sherry Reed?"

Sherry was surprised Elizabeth recognized her. She nodded. "Yes, I am."

Elizabeth pointed to her office. "Come with me."

Inside the office, Elizabeth got straight to the point. "Are you in trouble?"
