Chapter 392 Seeking Revenge

Jennifer's call hadn't even ended when Michael burst in with a squad of bodyguards.

The secretary at the door stammered, "I'm sorry, Ms. Johnson. Mr. Thomas said it was urgent, so I let him in."

Jennifer knew there was no getting out of this one.

The bodyguards shut the door tight.

One of them marched up to Jennifer, yanked her by the hair, and dragged her in front of Michael.

Jennifer couldn't keep her balance and fell to her knees.

Michael sneered, "Jennifer, I didn't think you'd be such a coward! I thought you'd at least put up a fight."

Jennifer readily admitted, "Mr. Thomas, my issue is with Elizabeth. My revenge is aimed at her. If I've upset you, that's on me. Do what you want. I won't resist."

Michael laughed coldly, "Suddenly growing a spine now? I don't buy it."

He grabbed her hair and slammed her head onto the coffee table, pressing his foot against her face.

Jennifer immediately pleaded, "Mr. Thomas! Please! Don't hit my face! I still need to go out and meet people! I'm begging you!"

Michael pressed his shoe harder against her cheek, his voice icy, "When you cursed my son, did you think about this moment? Are you still feeling smug?"

Jennifer, pinned against the coffee table, flailed her arms wildly, "No, Mr. Thomas! I wouldn't dare offend you! I was only targeting Elizabeth!"

Michael increased the pressure, "Your daughter was driven to suicide by Anthony, yet you come after me and Elizabeth instead. Are you looking to die?"

Tears streamed down Jennifer's face from the pain, "I was wrong, Mr. Thomas. I won't do it again. I know something about Samuel. I can give you information related to him."

Michael didn't lift his foot, looking down at her, "Trying to play games with me?"

Jennifer was terrified, "I wouldn't dare, Mr. Thomas! I'm telling the truth! Samuel mentioned he had something on you. It's related to a box."

Michael removed his foot and sat back on the couch, "Explain."

Jennifer finally caught her breath and crawled to Michael's feet, glancing at the bodyguards.

Michael signaled for them to move to the door.

Jennifer leaned closer to Michael and whispered, "I heard Samuel bribed the old gardener at the Thomas Mansion. He knows about a red box you have, containing something incriminating."

Michael's eyes flickered. He frowned at Jennifer, signaling her to continue.

"Mr. Thomas, if you spare me, I can be your informant. I'll find out where Samuel has hidden the box."

Michael knew the box had been missing for a long time. He hadn't expected a traitor in his own house. It seemed he needed to clean house.

The box contained his deepest secret. If it got out, the consequences would be disastrous.

This issue was like a ticking time bomb, often keeping him awake at night.

If Jennifer could truly act as his informant, it might be worth considering.

But he wouldn't fully trust her.

He nodded at Jennifer, "Alright. I'll spare you. You have three months to find the box."

Jennifer, feeling like she'd been given a second chance, gratefully watched him leave.

As Michael exited FutureTech Robotics Group, Jennifer slumped onto the carpet.

"Anthony... I won't let you go. Michael, Elizabeth, none of you will escape! I won't let any of you go!"

Michael rushed back to the hospital, where Elizabeth met him, "Why are you back so soon?"

She looked relieved, "The doctor said Francis is improving. He's out of danger."

Michael's tense expression softened instantly. He gently hugged Elizabeth, "That's wonderful. Our son is saved."

He stood up straight, "Who donated the blood? We should thank them properly."

Elizabeth looked up at him, "I called, but they wouldn't give any information about the donor. They said it was confidential."

Michael frowned, "We want to thank them, not invade their privacy. Why won't they tell us?"

Elizabeth reached out, smoothing the frown on his forehead, "Maybe you should ask Louis. He went to the blood bank with Eloise. He might know something."

Mentioning Eloise, Michael's expression darkened.

He remembered that Eloise's blood type was Rh-negative O, and the blood bags he received from the blood bank were also labeled Rh-negative O.

A terrible suspicion arose in his mind: Could it be Eloise's blood?

Why else would she go to the blood bank? Could it be a coincidence?

He had posted a reward online for blood donors, but no one responded.

How could the blood bank have the right type so quickly?

His unease magnified, and he immediately called Eloise.

The phone rang several times before she answered, "Michael."

Hearing her voice, half of Michael's anxiety eased. He asked gently, "Eloise, are you home?"

Eloise's voice sounded strange, "Michael, I'm with Louis. I told you, I like him."

Michael's patience wore thin at the mention of Louis, "Eloise, go home now. The person Louis cares about is Elizabeth, not you. If you stay with him, you'll only get hurt."

Eloise insisted, "Michael, love always involves pain. But I won't regret my choice."

Before Michael could say more, Eloise hung up. When he called back, her phone was off.

Michael cursed Louis under his breath and called Eloise's bodyguard.

After a long wait, the call connected.

Michael nearly shouted, "I told you to protect Eloise. What are you doing?"

The bodyguard's voice was full of regret, "Mr. Thomas, I was set up. Eloise gave me a drink. I didn't suspect anything and drank it. Then I passed out... Eloise is gone... Mr. Thomas, punish me!"

Michael swayed, his vision darkening, barely able to stand.

Elizabeth rushed to support him, but he pushed her away harshly.

Elizabeth stumbled against the wall, almost falling.

She looked at him in disbelief, as if the previous tenderness had been an illusion.

What had happened?
