Chapter 570 Visiting
Eloise sat up straight and pulled Quinn closer. "Clio, do you think I look like my brother?"
Clio sighed softly. "Yeah, you do! The first time I saw Quinn, I noticed how much you two look alike."
Eloise looked puzzled. "Clio, Quinn, you two have already met?"
Quinn smiled. "Yeah, before I went to the hospital in Valoria to find you, Elizabeth had me stay here. But then the Thomas family took me away."
He looked down, nervously fidgeting with his clothes. "I thought they were my family and would treat me well, but I was wrong..."
Clio patted his hand gently. "It's okay, Quinn. That's all in the past. From now on, you and Eloise can stay here with me. I'll take care of you both, and you'll always have enough to eat and be happy."
Eloise and Quinn exchanged a smile and said to Clio, "Thanks, Clio!"
Clio stood up. "Quinn, your room is the same one you stayed in before. I've already tidied it up. You can go rest anytime."
Quinn stood up. "Alright, I'll go check it out. I could use a break."
As Eloise watched him go upstairs, she quickly pulled Clio aside.
"Clio, you mentioned Louis earlier. I didn't want to bring it up in front of my brother."
Clio smiled. "I'm sorry, Eloise. I wasn't thinking. Can we talk about it now? You've been with Louis for a long time. You must like him, right? What are your plans for this relationship?"
Eloise blushed deeply. "Clio, I do like him. I want to marry him and be with him forever. But I don't know if he feels the same way about me. After all, he used to have someone else in his heart."
Clio hugged her. "Eloise, you're very important to me. Mr. Thomas and I don't want to see you get hurt. If you like Louis, you should ask him how he feels. If he wants to marry you, that would be wonderful. If not, you can still be friends. Don't force it. A forced relationship won't bring happiness."
Eloise nodded. "I know, I feel the same way."
Clio reminded her, "And remember, if you want to be with Louis, you'll have to get past Mr. Thomas. Louis has kept you away for so long, Mr. Thomas must have a strong opinion about him. Even if Louis likes you, Mr. Thomas might try to stop it. You should think about how to get Mr. Thomas to accept Louis."
Eloise confidently replied, "Clio, Michael wouldn't want to see me unhappy. If I tell him I love Louis and want to marry him, he won't stop me."
Clio shook her head.
At that moment, the doorbell rang.
A servant came in to report, "Ms. Thomas, someone is here to see Mr. Reed."
Clio and Eloise exchanged a glance. Quinn had just arrived at the Thomas Mansion. Who could have found out so quickly?
They stood up and walked to the front door, standing on the steps and looking out.
It was William and Anthony.
Clio sneered. "Those two are here to leech off us again." She pushed Eloise inside. "Eloise, you go in. I'll handle them."
She stood there, refusing to open the door.
Anthony shouted through the door, "Clio! Open up! I want to see my aunt and uncle!"
Clio scoffed. "This is Mr. Thomas' house! Without his permission, I can't let people or animals in!"
William's voice was icy. "Clio! Open the door! You're a servant of the Thomas family. Don't you listen to me?"
"Mr. William Thomas, I may be a servant of the Thomas family, but Mr. Michael Thomas pays my salary. I only recognize him as my boss. The rest of the Thomas family has nothing to do with me."
Anthony shouted, "Dad! Stop wasting time with Clio! Call the cops! Tell them Clio is illegally detaining my aunt and uncle!"
Clio called to the guards, "Call the police! Tell them someone is trespassing and causing a disturbance!"
William quickly intervened. "No, no, no! Clio! Don't call the police! I want to see Eloise! She's my sister!"
He jumped up and shouted into the yard, "Eloise! Eloise! I'm here to see you!"
Eloise came out. Clio anxiously stepped forward. "Eloise, why did you come out? Don't let them fool you."
Eloise patted her hand, signaling her to relax.
She stood on the steps and looked at the Thomas family duo outside. "William, I'm here. As you said, you're my brother. So, I'm not the owner here. I don't have the right to let you in. This is Michael's house. If you want to come in, you need his permission."
William, smiling through the gate, said, "Eloise, then call Quinn out and let him come home with me! You two aren't Michael's relatives. What are you doing living in his house?"
Eloise sneered. "William, do you think I don't know what you're up to? You just want to take Quinn back and imprison him again. You don't care about Quinn. You want his shares in Stellar Enterprises."
"I'm telling you, don't even think about it! Quinn's surgery was successful. He now has full legal capacity and won't be controlled by you! When my brother Michael returns, Quinn will give him back the shares. You won't get a penny!"
Anthony shouted, "Eloise! You're my aunt! How can you side with an outsider against my dad?"
Eloise's face was cold. "You two can wait for the lawyers. I'll be announcing that I'm cutting all ties with you both!"
Clio ordered the guards, "What are you waiting for? Get these two pests out of here! If you see them again, call the police immediately!"
Anthony wanted to say more, but William pulled him away.
Anthony glared at Eloise as they left.
William said, "Enough, Anthony. Don't you see? Eloise is different now."
Anthony replied, "I noticed. She's not the same naive girl who used to smile all the time."
William snorted. "She's not just smarter. It's like she's a different person! She's grown a brain!"
Anthony smirked. "Dad, it seems Elizabeth has been brainwashing Eloise and Quinn! She's turned Eloise against us! She used to be so obedient. When did she ever argue with us?"
William agreed. "You're right."
Anthony narrowed his eyes and smiled wickedly. "Elizabeth, just wait. I can't wait to see you suffer when your company goes bankrupt!"
William was shocked. "Elizabeth's company is going bankrupt?"
Anthony boasted, "Dad, don't you know? Jennifer came back with an entire tech team. She's here to bankrupt Elizabeth! Just wait and see!"
