Chapter 375 Castration
The ugly man sneered at Sarah, "You're such a delicate beauty. I wouldn't want to make you suffer. Come on, use your mouth to help me out. I've never had a pretty girl like you do this for me."
As he spoke, he unzipped his pants.
His filthy, foul-smelling penis was exposed right in front of Sarah. The stench hit her nose, making her want to vomit.
She fought the urge, keeping her head down, her eyes sharp with determination.
She focused, her hand inching towards the knife in the ugly man's hand. With a sudden move, she grabbed it.
The man closed his eyes, ready to enjoy himself, but before he realized what was happening, he let out a scream of agony.
His face twisted in pain as he kicked Sarah hard in the stomach.
Blood splattered across Sarah's neck and chest.
The man clutched his groin, writhing on the ground in pain.
A large part of his severed penis lay in the dirt nearby, blood soaking the ground around it.
Sarah, knocked to the ground by his kick, held the knife tightly.
She looked at the man with cold disdain, like he was a cockroach. "I gave you a quick end. Do you like it?"
She stood up, kicked him aside, and clutched her stomach as she ran towards the door. But she suddenly stopped.
Voices came from outside. More than one person.
Sarah froze, her face turning pale.
Were the ugly man's accomplices here?
Her lower abdomen throbbed with pain. No matter how many there were, she couldn't take them all on.
Was this the end for her?
No, she wasn't ready to die. She had so much to live for! David and Elizabeth were waiting for her! She wouldn't die in such a filthy place!
The warehouse's old wooden door was kicked open from the outside.
A group of men in black stood at the entrance. One of them asked, "Ms. Martinez, are you okay?"
Sarah recognized him as Rolf, one of Michael's regular bodyguards.
She exhaled, wiping the blood off herself with disgust. "I'm fine. Do you have any tissues?"
Rolf handed her a pack of tissues.
Sarah wiped the blood off herself vigorously and tossed the tissues aside.
She immediately left the warehouse, not stopping. "Did Elizabeth send you to rescue me? Let's go."
"Ms. Jones called Mr. Thomas. Mr. Thomas ordered us to get you out as soon as possible before he boarded his flight. Luckily, we weren't too late. Ms. Martinez, I'm sorry you had to go through this."
"Take me to Elizabeth. She must be worried sick. I'm more concerned about her, she might go into labor from the stress."
Rolf hesitated. "Ms. Jones has already been taken to the hospital."
Sarah was shocked. "What do you mean 'taken'? Did Elizabeth pass out?"
"Louis called the emergency services, and an ambulance took her. Ms. Martinez, don't worry, we'll take you there."
Rolf followed Sarah, giving orders to the other bodyguards. "Take that ugly man on the ground and hand him over to the police. See if we can find out who was behind this."
The bodyguards tied up the unconscious man, who had passed out from the pain and blood loss after Sarah's attack.
They dragged him like a dead dog, his body and face scraping against the ground, ignored by everyone.
At the hospital, the surgery room's light was still on.
Louis paced anxiously outside the operating room.
Dean had also arrived after hearing the news.
Louis frowned. "Dean, you're here. Who's with Nolan and Pearl?"
Dean sat down. "Michael called Susan to take care of them."
Louis nodded. "Susan's there, that's good."
Eloise nodded too. "Susan's better with kids than Dean."
Dean opened his mouth but decided not to argue.
Soon, David arrived. "Has Elizabeth given birth yet?"
Dean glanced at him. "Not yet. Sit down. Weren't you supposed to be looking for Sarah?"
David leaned against the wall, catching his breath. "Michael's bodyguards rescued her. They're on their way. Sarah's most worried about Elizabeth. She'll come straight to the operating room. I figured I'd wait here."
Louis, Eloise, and Dean all sighed in relief upon hearing Sarah was safe.
"Thank goodness, Sarah's safe." Eloise clasped her hands together, murmuring a prayer.
David gritted his teeth. "This must be Margaret's doing! Matthew confronted her, but she denied everything. We don't have any evidence yet, so we can't do anything. If anything happens to Sarah, I don't care about evidence, I'll make her pay!"
Dean patted his shoulder, trying to calm him down.
The elevator dinged, and Michael and Daniel appeared.
At that moment, the operating room door opened.
A doctor came out holding a swaddled baby. "Elizabeth's son is born. Are the family members here?"
Michael stepped forward. "I'm the father."
Everyone gathered around to see the baby.
The premature infant was tiny, his skin wrinkled like an old man.
Michael sighed. "He's so small."
The doctor smiled. "He's premature, so he hasn't fully developed yet. He'll grow."
The doctor continued, "Alright. Family members, come with me to the neonatal intensive care unit. The baby needs monitoring and care."
Michael handed his suit jacket to Daniel and followed the doctor. "How's the mother?"
"The mother is still in the operating room for the final stitches. After the surgery, the anesthesiologist will assess her. She'll need some time to recover."
Michael nodded, following the doctor to the neonatal unit. He watched as the nurse placed the tiny baby in an incubator.
The nurse labeled the incubator with the baby's information and handed Michael a card.
He looked at it. It read: [Son of Elizabeth.]
Still worried about Elizabeth, he asked the nurse, "Do I need to stay here with the baby?"
"This is the intensive care unit. Family members can't stay, but you can watch through the monitors outside. Premature babies have weak immune systems and are susceptible to infections, so we ask for your understanding."
Michael quickly said, "I understand. Can I go see his mother now?"
