Chapter 260 Bad News

Anthony didn't budge; instead, he pulled Calla into a tight hug.

She looked up at him, puzzled. "Anthony, what's up? You're acting kinda weird."

Anthony lifted her chin, his voice a bit raspy. "Why do you wanna go to my room? Can't we just talk here? No one's gonna come by anyway."

Calla's eyes locked onto his. "We can talk here, but some things are better done in private."

Anthony's expression shifted. "What things?" he asked.

Calla looked at him intently. "The kind of things you're thinking about."

Anthony's breathing quickened. He grabbed Calla and hurried towards his room. At the door, he glanced around; no one was in sight.

He quickly opened the door and pulled Calla inside. He shut the door with a thud and pushed her against the wall.

He looked at her, his breathing heavy, while Calla gazed back at him. She grabbed his collar, pulling him closer.

Taking her cue, Anthony bent down and kissed her hard. It had been too long since he had been with a woman. He held Calla tightly, almost too forcefully.

Calla gasped, "Anthony... loosen up a bit... I can't breathe."

Anthony, panting, let her go. He rested his forehead against hers, his trembling hands starting to pull down her top's zipper.

Calla placed her hand on his, feeling the heat of his long fingers. She held his hand and slowly unzipped her top.

Anthony's breathing grew heavier as he buried his head in her chest, sighing contentedly.

Calla gently held his head.

Anthony slowly squatted down and reached for the zipper of her skirt.

This time, Calla held his hand, stopping him.

Anthony looked up at her, confused.

Calla whispered, "I just had surgery."

Anthony stood up and said, "Sorry."

He then calmed his breathing.

However, Calla hugged him and quickly pulled down his belt.

She said, "It's okay, I can help you."

They switched positions.

Calla pressed Anthony against the wall, reaching for his pants zipper.

She leaned against him, one hand reaching into his underwear, moving quickly back and forth on his body.

Anthony closed his eyes, tilted his head back slightly, and moaned softly, enjoying the pleasure Calla brought him.

The next morning, Calla woke up in Anthony's bed. She got dressed and quietly opened the door.

As soon as the door opened a crack, she heard voices from downstairs.

Mary was excitedly talking to her personal maid in the living room. "Hestia, I told you, that boy is definitely Michael's biological child! And it turns out I was right!"

Hestia moved closer to her and said, "Congratulations, Mrs. Thomas. You have become a grandmother again."

Calla was shocked to hear this.

That day, she overheard Mary's phone call, learning that Mary wanted someone to get Nolan's hair. And it was indeed for a paternity test.

Calla slowly peeked out the door and saw Mary, wearing glasses and smiling, as she read a piece of paper.

Calla was sure it was the paternity test report for Nolan and Michael.

At that moment, Mary picked up the phone and made a call, while Calla quietly returned to Anthony's room.

Anthony groggily opened his eyes and saw Calla coming in from outside. He asked her, "Where did you go?"

Calla gestured for him to keep his voice down.

Anthony sat up and whispered, "What's wrong?"

She sat on the edge of his bed and said, "Mrs. Thomas is downstairs."

Anthony said, "Then I'll sneak you out the back door later."

He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and murmured, "Just let me hold you a little longer."

But Calla suddenly pushed him away.

Anthony was confused. Last night, she was so gentle, but now she was back to being cold.

He cautiously asked, "Did something happen?"

Calla turned around and said, "Mrs. Thomas is on the phone. She took Nolan's hair and did a paternity test with Michael. He is Michael's biological son! Elizabeth lied to you all!"

Anthony was puzzled. "Nolan? Elizabeth's son?"

Calla snapped, "Who else could it be?"

In the president's office of Stellar Enterprises, Michael had just sat down when the phone rang.

William said, "Michael, come to Tomorrow's Cure Hospital emergency center."

Michael's heart suddenly raced; he sensed something bad had happened.

"What happened?" he asked.

William explained, "Mom is in critical condition. You'd better come quickly."

Michael asked, "Mom's blood pressure has been well controlled recently. How could she suddenly need emergency care?"

William responded, "It's hard to explain over the phone. Just come quickly. Mom's condition is not good."

Michael hung up the phone, frowning. He quickly went downstairs, calling his driver.

In the car, he texted Daniel a message: [Leave me a message if you need anything.]

Soon, the car arrived at the hospital entrance.

Michael hurried to the emergency center. William saw him and quickly came over.

They walked quickly, talking as they went.

Michael asked, "What did the doctor say?"

William replied, "Mom is still in critical condition. The doctor said the situation is not optimistic."

Michael frowned and said, "What exactly happened? Mom was fine; why does she need emergency care?"

William responded, "I don't know the specifics. Anthony found her. Let him explain."

He then called out to Anthony, "Anthony, come here."

Anthony was squatting in the corner, head down. Hearing William call him, he quickly stood up, stumbling a bit.

He walked over, looking distraught.

William said, "Tell Michael what happened to your grandma."

Anthony shuddered as if recalling something terrifying, then said, "I got up late this morning. As soon as I stepped out, I heard a strange noise outside. I rushed out and found Grandma lying by the stairs, her slippers falling off. I ran over and called her, but she didn't respond. I quickly called for an ambulance, and they brought her here."

Michael asked, "Why was she lying by the stairs?"

Anthony couldn't meet his eyes and replied, "It looked like she accidentally fell."

Michael said, "Accidentally? Didn't we install anti-slip devices on the stairs to prevent her from falling?"

Anthony stammered, "Maybe she was already disoriented or had blurred vision."

Hearing this, William glanced at Michael and said, "That's possible. The doctor said high blood pressure can affect the small arteries in the eyes, impacting vision."

Michael pressed, "Why did she go to the second floor?"

William said, "Maybe she wanted to see Anthony?"

At that time, the emergency room door opened. The doctor came out, removed his mask, and said with deep regret, "I'm very sorry. We did our best, but the patient has passed away."

Hearing this, Michael staggered and fell onto the bench behind him.
