Chapter 63 He Doesn't Know How to Coax Women

Michael softly replied, "Don’t think that way."

Elizabeth hissed, "Then how should I think? That night, it was clearly you who invited me, using someone else's name! But what did you do to me?"

Elizabeth's voice was trembling with barely contained anger, her hands balled into fists. Her eyes were red and puffy, tears welling up.

That night, she lost her virginity, and Michael raped her in anger because she went to see another man.

But the truth was, that "other man" was actually Michael himself.

The driver in the front seat widened his eyes in silent shock.

Michael actually apologized to Elizabeth.

In all these years, the driver had never seen Michael so humble.

However, driver knew better than to make a sound as he kept his eyes on the road.

Elizabeth's tears could no longer be held back and streamed down her face. She wiped them away fiercely, vowing never to speak to Michael again.

Michael had no clue how to handle a crying woman at all.

When they got to the restaurant, the driver stopped the car and went to open the back door for Elizabeth. She got out, still fuming.

Michael quickly followed her, grabbed her arm and said, "Don't be mad yet, come with me to meet someone."

Michael took Elizabeth's hand and led her towards the entrance of The Daily Grind.

The waiter saw Michael and eagerly guided him to a private room.

As soon as the door opened, Elizabeth saw Sarah sitting at the table, chatting with David.

David had told Sarah he had a surprise for her today, bringing her to the restaurant to meet someone she admired.

Sarah kept pestering David about who this mystery person was.

David said, "Sarah, you're gonna love this. You said you admired this person a lot."

Sarah thought, 'I admire a lot of people, who could it be?'

At that moment, the door to the private room opened, and Sarah saw Michael and Elizabeth standing there.

Sarah's eyes widened in surprise. "Elizabeth, what are you doing here?"

Then she noticed Michael standing next to Elizabeth.

"Oh my God, it's Mr. Thomas, my idol!" Sarah exclaimed.

David leaned in and whispered to Sarah, "I told you it was a surprise, right? Didn't you say he's your idol? Now I've brought Mr. Thomas to you! You can get an autograph or a photo."

Sarah saw Elizabeth and Mr. Thomas appear here at the same time, and she immediately understood everything. Sarah glared at David and whispered back, "How is this a surprise? This is more like a shock! You didn't tell me Michael was married!"

David scratched his head, confused. "What does Michael being married have to do with you admiring him?"

Then his eyes widened. "Sarah, you don't admire Michael and want to marry him, do you? No way! You can only like me!"

Sarah pushed his hand away and said, "What are you talking about?" With that, she went to hold Elizabeth's hand.

Elizabeth shot a cold glance at David and said, "Mr. Franklin, didn't you say you wanted to invest in The Jones Group? Is it really you who's planning to invest?"

David heard her but didn't answer. He just looked over at Michael standing next to Elizabeth.

Michael stood behind Elizabeth and subtly shook his head at David.

David had no choice but to say, "Ms. Jones, let's sit down and eat first. The food's already ordered. We can talk while we eat."

Elizabeth stood by the table, her voice icy. "I just want to know if that $500 million is really yours."

David quickly replied, "I can explain, Ms. Jones."

Elizabeth cut him off coldly, "No need to explain. I know everything. You and Michael teamed up to mess with me."

With that, she stormed out without even glancing Sarah.

David, still standing there, turned to Michael. "Michael, what's going on? Why is Ms. Jones so mad?"

Michael shot a cold look at Sarah, who was standing next to David. "David, is this the girlfriend you wanted me to meet?"

David immediately smiled and pulled Sarah closer. "Yes, Michael, this is my girlfriend Sarah, the one I told you about."

David looked at Sarah. "Sarah, this is my friend Michael, the one I met abroad."

Sarah, coming back to her sense, glared at Michael. "Mr. Thomas, I used to admire you, but bullying Elizabeth makes you my enemy. From today on, you're no longer my idol!"

She then stormed out to chase after Elizabeth.

David was left standing there, confused.

Michael turned to him. "David, don't you get it? Your girlfriend is a spy planted by Elizabeth to gather info on me!"

David looked shocked. "How could that be? Sarah is so innocent and cute!"

Michael sneered. "You're so naive. David, your girlfriend and Elizabeth are good friends. You told her everything about us, and she relayed it all to Elizabeth."

David's eyes widened. "Michael, did I cause you trouble? I didn't expect that."

Michael sighed, a bit helpless. "Forget it, we'll eat another time. I need to go out for a bit."

David asked in confusion, "Michael, are you going after Elizabeth? Why is she so angry? Even if you didn't show up yourself, you did it to help her. Why can't she understand you?"

Michael shook his head and smiled bitterly. "David, there are some things you don't need to know."

David urged him, "Michael, if you're going after Elizabeth, you should hurry. It's dark outside, and she rushed out; it might not be safe. Hurry up."

Michael nodded and walked out.

It was freezing in late autumn. Elizabeth walked out of the restaurant wearing only a dress, and the cold wind made her shiver.

Sarah rushed up and grabbed her hand. "Elizabeth, is Michael the husband you mentioned, the one you married after knowing him for only a few days?"
