Chapter 504 Decision

Michael wasn't surprised at all. "Did Elizabeth call you?"

Matthew replied, "Yeah, she told me Sherry's moving out. Said you guys found her a place."

Michael confirmed, "That's right. Elizabeth also got her a job at the Jones Group. Sherry can support herself now and won't be a burden to you anymore."

Matthew was relieved. "That's great news! You have no idea how much she's been driving me nuts lately, always with that sour face like I owe her a fortune."

Michael's tone remained calm. "Matthew, I need a favor from you."

Matthew immediately straightened up. "Just tell me what you need."

Michael's voice was accompanied by the sound of papers rustling. "Sherry is still my sister, and I promised her father I'd look after her. I'll transfer some money to you, and I need you to deposit a monthly allowance into her account for her living expenses. But remember, don't give it to her all at once. If she spends it wisely, it should last her a lifetime."

Matthew was impressed. "Michael, you're really good to your sister! You say you don't want to take care of her, but you've planned out her whole future."

Michael didn't respond.

Matthew joked, "Michael, do you need another brother? How about you take care of me too?"

Michael's voice turned icy. "Get lost."

Matthew pouted. "Can't even take a joke. Seriously though, why don't you just transfer the money to her yourself? Why go through me? It sounds like you're making a will or something."

Michael paused at the mention of a will. "Matthew, don't tell Elizabeth about this."

Matthew was puzzled. "Why? Are you afraid Elizabeth will object to you giving money to your sister? I don't think she's that petty. She runs her own company and doesn't need the money."

Michael's voice was steady. "Just do as I say."

"Alright, alright, I got it."

Michael continued, "And Matthew, have the finance department prepare the financial statements for STellar Enterprises from the past few years. We might need them soon."

Matthew was confused. "It's not the end of the month, quarter, or year. Why do you need the financial statements now?"

But he knew better than to question his boss's orders.

Michael ended the call with Matthew and immediately dialed Anthony.

Anthony was surprised to hear from Michael. "Michael, why are you calling me again?"

Michael's voice was cold. "Cut the crap. You guys want all my shares, right?"

Anthony's eyes widened in shock. He thought, 'Does Michael know everything? Is he planning to kill me to keep me quiet?'

Anthony's hands trembled as he held the phone, feeling as if Michael was right in front of him, staring him down with a deathly gaze.

He stammered, "Michael, if you want revenge, don't take it out on me. This was my dad's idea. I was forced into it! Go after him!"

Michael cut him off. "Bring Quinn with you. I'll send you an address. Meet the lawyer there, and he'll handle everything."

Anthony couldn't believe it. "What do you mean? Handle what?"

He pinched his thigh, yelping in pain.

He thought, 'This is real! Michael is actually agreeing to transfer the shares to Quinn? Quinn is an idiot; he won't know what to do with them! If the shares go to Quinn, it's like they're going to me and Dad, since we're his legal guardians!'

Trying to contain his excitement, Anthony nodded repeatedly. "Okay, okay! Michael, I mean, my dear uncle, I understand!"

Michael hung up and called the chief lawyer of the legal department.

"Is the share transfer document ready?"

"Mr. Thomas, it's ready."

"Good. I'll send you an address. Meet me there."

Two hours later, in the presidential suite of Opal Moon Hotel, they met.

At the Jones Group.

Dean walked into Elizabeth's office.

"Elizabeth, you barely ate lunch. Aren't you hungry?"

"Dean, I can't eat."

"Is the situation with Sherry resolved?"

"Yes, I got her a job as a sales associate and helped her find an apartment."

Dean nodded. "That's good. At least you've helped Michael with one problem."

Elizabeth frowned deeply.

Dean couldn't stand seeing her so troubled.

"Elizabeth, are you still worried about Quinn and Eloise?"

Elizabeth closed her eyes and nodded. "How can I not be? I still don't know how to solve it. Anthony keeps pressuring me. He says if I don't get Michael to transfer the shares to him, he'll drain Quinn's blood!"

Dean was alarmed. "Is Anthony insane? If he drains Quinn's blood, he'll kill him! That's murder. Doesn't he know that's a crime?"

Elizabeth shook her head vigorously. "Don't you think he's already lost his mind? He's completely irrational!"

Dean tried to console her. "Why don't you have Michael transfer the shares to Quinn temporarily? Once Quinn's surgery is done, you can have Quinn transfer the shares back to Michael."

Elizabeth was torn. "If I ask Michael for the shares, he'll definitely ask why. Then he'll find out about Eloise."

Dean was exasperated. "So what if he finds out? If he knows Eloise is alive, that's a good thing! He'll willingly transfer the shares to Quinn."

Elizabeth continued to shake her head. "No, that's exactly what I'm worried about. His depression isn't fully cured. When he first heard about Eloise's death, he had a relapse. He didn't tell me, but I just know. If he finds out Eloise is alive and the kidney transplant fails, putting Eloise in danger again, I'm afraid Michael won't be able to handle it. His mental state could deteriorate."

Dean nodded. "I get it. You want to secretly bring Quinn to Eloise, have the surgery, and once it's successful, bring Eloise to Michael and tell him she's alive and well. Is that right?"
