Chapter 313 Rescue Plan
Silver King stayed silent for a moment, weighing how much he could trust Elizabeth's words.
Elizabeth chuckled, "Looks like I hit the nail on the head. Not only did you help him take out his rivals, but you also paid him a pretty penny. You're quite the generous one!"
Silver King narrowed his eyes, "Ms. Jones, don't push your luck. It won't end well for you."
Elizabeth quickly softened her tone, "Silver King, is there an illness you need me to treat?" Being in a foreign country, she figured it was best not to be too headstrong.
Silver King was still mulling over her previous comment and was momentarily caught off guard by her question.
"Ms. Jones, I've had these chronic headaches for years. Despite all the treatments I've tried, they've only gotten worse."
Elizabeth's expression eased, "Headaches? I might actually be able to help you. Neurology is my specialty, after all."
Silver King was thrilled, "That's fantastic! There's hope for me!"
Elizabeth looked at him seriously, "Before I treat you, I need to see Louis."
Silver King nodded eagerly, "Of course. You came here to see him in the first place."
With a wave of his hand, two men in black suddenly appeared in the hall.
Elizabeth hadn't noticed anyone else in the hall before.
The men in black quickly brought Louis over.
Louis was covered in blood, lying on a stretcher, barely hanging on.
Elizabeth grabbed his right hand, noticing that his ring finger was noticeably shorter.
She couldn't hold back any longer. She had worried about him the entire journey, and now seeing him in such a miserable state, her guilt and remorse peaked. She covered her mouth and burst into tears.
Louis heard her crying and slowly woke up, "Elizabeth, don't worry about me. I'm fine."
He raised his hand, intending to wipe her tears, but upon seeing his mutilated right hand, he quickly pulled it back, afraid of scaring her.
Elizabeth's tears didn't stop. She shouted at Silver King, "Send him to the best hospital! Immediately! Use the fastest car! Bring the severed finger! Make sure they reattach it!"
Silver King looked indifferent, "It's been over 24 hours. Even if they operate now, the finger's function can't be restored."
Elizabeth glared at him angrily, "So what! Why did you cut off his finger? He's a doctor too! How is he supposed to hold a scalpel now? You're too much! Do you still want me to treat you?"
Silver King didn't argue further. He instructed his men, "Do as she says. Send Louis to the hospital and treat his wounds."
Elizabeth stood up and handed the severed finger to Louis, "Louie, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault."
Louis weakly reassured her, "Elizabeth, this has nothing to do with you. I offended someone."
He couldn't hold on any longer and passed out.
Elizabeth, unable to hide her anger, walked towards Silver King, "What did you do to him? Why did he pass out?"
A man in black nearby said, "He's been on a hunger strike since he got here, refusing to eat no matter what we said."
Silver King spoke coldly, "Maybe he wants to starve himself to death so he won't be a burden to you."
Elizabeth felt even more guilty towards Louis.
An ambulance from the castle quickly arrived. Elizabeth stayed by Louis's side, holding his left hand tightly, as if letting go would make him disappear.
The medical staff arrived and carefully placed Louis on the stretcher.
Silver King grabbed Elizabeth's arm, "I only agreed to let him get medical treatment. I didn't say you could go with him."
Elizabeth watched as the medical staff took Louis away, "I never said I was leaving."
Silver King raised an eyebrow, "So, you'll treat my illness?"
Elizabeth nodded, "Yes."
Silver King laughed heartily, "Great! There's hope for me!"
Meanwhile, Michael, after getting off the plane, drove straight to Elizabeth's villa.
Dean was surprisingly excited to see him, a rare moment without his usual sarcasm.
"Michael, you're finally here. I was starting to feel like I was fighting alone."
Michael pushed his hands away disdainfully, "Of course! My woman, I have to rescue her myself!"
Michael and Dean discussed their plan to rescue Elizabeth and Louis.
Dean sighed, "Silver King's castle has top-notch security. I can't find a way in."
Michael asked, "Can you contact her?"
Dean shook his head, "Her phone is with me. I gave her my gaming phone just in case."
Michael's eyes lit up, "Can you track her location?"
Dean smirked, "Of course. Do you think so little of me? GPS tracking is a basic skill for a hacker."
Michael nodded, "Find her location and send it to me."
Dean looked skeptical, "What? Are you planning to blow up the castle?"
Michael shrugged, "Not out of the question."
Dean shook his head, "No way. They have a lot of well-trained people. It's just the two of us. We'd be like eggs smashing against a rock, certain death."
Michael, unusually calm, asked, "Do you have a better idea?"
Dean nodded, "I've thought it through. I'll cut the power to the castle when it's darkest. That'll disable the lights and security cameras. We'll use the chaos to get in. By the way, aren't you rich? Didn't you hire some help?"
Michael smirked, "I hired some mercenaries from Valoria. They're ready to follow my orders."
Dean whistled, "Impressive."
Michael paused, "I have a question..."
Dean nodded, "Go ahead."
Michael asked, "Is Elizabeth Emily's final and most important disciple?"
Dean sighed, "You figured it out?"
Michael nodded, "Was it hard to guess? Silver King went to great lengths to capture Louis to force Elizabeth to show up, all for her to treat his headaches."
Dean nodded, "Right."
Michael continued, "Ms. Johnson has many students. Why did Silver King specifically choose Elizabeth? Is it because she's young and beautiful?"
Dean fell silent.
Michael looked wistful, "It seems Silver King is smarter and more resourceful than I am. At least he isn't as foolish as me. The person I was looking for was right in front of me, but I never realized it, always searching far and wide."
His tone was more filled with sadness and self-mockery than anger.
Dean didn't know how to comfort him. Maybe it would be better for Elizabeth to explain it to him herself when she returned.
Michael sighed, "For now, we need to contact Elizabeth and let her know our plan."
Dean nodded, "I'll handle that. You should get some sleep. Your eyes are bloodshot. We don't want you passing out before we even get Elizabeth out. I heard you had a serious car accident before. I'll need some time to hack into the castle's system. I'll wake you when I'm ready."
Michael thought for a moment, then stood up and didn't refuse Dean's suggestion.
He went to the first floor, found a room, and lay down to rest.
