Chapter 487 You're Amazing

Elizabeth stood there silently, her eyes lost in thought.

Michael waved a hand in front of her face. "Earth to Elizabeth? What's on your mind?"

Elizabeth snapped back to reality. "Oh, nothing. Just thinking about how I can help you with your problems."

Michael gently pulled her into his arms. "You don't need to do anything. You're already perfect. Just having you here makes me happy."

Elizabeth wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest, silently resolving to contact William and Anthony as soon as possible. She needed to get in touch with Quinn.

She knew this wouldn't be easy. William and Anthony wouldn't hand over Quinn without a fight. But she had to try.

She would do everything in her power to keep Michael from contacting William.

Elizabeth could already picture the scene: if Michael and William met, William would undoubtedly humiliate Michael, knowing he needed something from him.

She couldn't bear to see Michael suffer. He had always been so proud. She feared this situation might trigger his depression again.

Elizabeth didn't want him to worry about this problem any longer. "Michael, it's getting late. Let's go to bed."

Michael nodded, and they walked back to the hotel hand in hand.

Back in their room, Elizabeth noticed the purple-red marks on her neck in the bathroom mirror. No wonder Louis had been avoiding her gaze at the restaurant.

Michael, worried because she was taking so long, knocked on the bathroom door. "Elizabeth, you okay in there?"

Elizabeth opened the door and pointed at her neck, annoyed. "This is all your fault! Look at these marks! I had to walk around with these all night! Who knows how many people were laughing at me!"

Michael took her hand and pulled her close, grinning. "No one was laughing at you! They were probably jealous. It just shows we have a great sex life!"

Elizabeth stomped on his foot, but since she was wearing slippers, it didn't have much effect.

Back in bed, with the lights off, Michael moved towards Elizabeth again.

Elizabeth pleaded, "Michael, can you give me a break? I can't take it anymore. I admit you're amazing, okay? Please, let me rest!"

Michael wanted to let her rest, but his body had other ideas. That night, Elizabeth once again experienced just how "amazing" he was.

Elizabeth tried to suppress her anxiety during their four-day stay in Aetheria.

During those four days, she and Michael were like any other honeymooning couple. They held hands while strolling through the streets, rode a tandem bike along the beach, explored local eateries, and watched children blow soap bubbles in the sunlight.

Michael even bought her a large bouquet of flowers from a flower shop.

At night, they were inseparable in bed. It was like Michael was making up for lost time, leaving Elizabeth begging for mercy each time.

By the time they landed and were driving back to Aurora Bay, Elizabeth was still sleep-deprived.

Michael teased her, "You look like you didn't sleep a wink last night."

Elizabeth shot him a look and leaned her head back to sleep.

They had planned to stay in Aetheria for a week, but Elizabeth was eager to contact Quinn and see Pearl and Francis, so she and Michael decided to return home early.

Nolan had already reported to Valoria.

Dean had packed the remaining luggage. He had been gradually moving out of Whispering Pines Estates and planned to leave completely once Elizabeth returned from her honeymoon.

For now, Michael returned to the Thomas Villa alone, instructing Clio to prepare two guest rooms for Pearl and Nolan.

He also arranged for new seasonal clothes for women and children to be placed in their closets.

Even though Nolan was still abroad, Michael wanted to be prepared for his possible return. As his father, Michael was determined to show Nolan that he was important to him, despite Nolan's resistance.

Elizabeth returned to Whispering Pines Estates, checked on Francis, and quickly left after tidying up.

She had arranged to meet Anthony.

She hadn't interacted much with William and didn't want to confront him directly. She decided to start with Anthony.

They met at Serenity Brew Cafe.

Anthony wasn't as excited as he used to be when he received her call, but he still showed up on time.

Elizabeth waited at a table by the window, watching the street outside.

As soon as Anthony sat down, he gave her a knowing smile. "Elizabeth, what kind of trap are you setting for me this time?"

Elizabeth was taken aback by his directness. She realized that the Anthony before her was no longer the naive Anthony of the past.

She felt a bit nervous. "Anthony, why would you say that?"

He leaned back in his seat, resting his elbow on the armrest and crossing one leg. "Elizabeth, let's not pretend. We have no relationship now. I used to consider Michael my uncle, and you were my aunt by extension. But if you want to talk about past connections..."

He suddenly leaned forward, placing his hand on the table and staring at Elizabeth with cold eyes. "Elizabeth, do you really think there's any old flame left between us?"

Elizabeth was startled by his attitude and couldn't find the words to respond.

Anthony leaned back again, crossing his leg once more. "Now that you and Michael are officially married, you know he and I are like oil and water. If you're smart, you'll keep your distance from me. It won't do you any good."

He pulled out a pack of cigarettes, lit one with the candle on the table.

Elizabeth was surprised. "Anthony, when did you start smoking?"
