Chapter 83 Not Interested in Her Breast
Elizabeth snapped, "Back off, Michael. This is my business. I'm hanging up now."
"Hold on," Michael's voice was urgent on the other end. "Elizabeth, we're married. We've shared so much. Can't you trust me? Samuel's just an outsider."
Elizabeth retorted, "You mean sex? Even strangers can do that. Don't make it a big deal. Michael, stop bringing up the investment. My dad's Super Brain system means nothing to you. No need to waste a billion dollars. Samuel sees potential in it. He's different from you."
Michael's voice roared through the phone, "Elizabeth, what's different? How do you know? Are you in love with him? How far have you two gone?"
Elizabeth shook her head, thinking he was being ridiculous and unreasonable.
She decisively hung up.
Michael stared angrily at the disconnected call. 'How dare she!' he cursed.
As he fumed, there was a knock on his office door.
"Who is it? Come in!" Michael shouted but tried to keep his cool.
Margaret sauntered in, swaying her hips.
Michael was still fuming with anger. Seeing Margaret, he found the perfect target to vent his fury.
He frowned and snapped, "Margaret, you better be here for business! Otherwise, get out!"
He pointed to the door.
Margaret ignored his anger. She sat down elegantly on the single sofa.
She smoothed her dress and said patiently, "Michael, don't be so quick to kick me out. I have something important to discuss. It's not company-related," she saw Michael about to get up and quickly raised her hand, "Sit down and listen. Just a few words, can't you be patient?"
Michael turned his chair around, facing away from her, silent.
Margaret stood up, walked to his desk in her high heels, leaned close, and said, "Michael, you know Samuel invested 500 million in Elizabeth's company, right?"
Michael ignored her.
Margaret continued, "You know that. But did you know their companies are having a team-building event this weekend?"
This caught Michael's attention. He turned his chair around, looking coldly at Margaret.
"What team-building event?" Michael asked.
Margaret noticed that the topic had piqued Michael's interest. She stood up, leaned against his desk, and slightly leaned forward, smiling smugly. "I knew you'd be interested."
She was wearing a low-cut, tight-fitting white blouse. Her tight skirt accentuated her long legs.
Striking a seductive pose, she pressed her arms together, creating a deep cleavage, her firm, rounded breasts fully on display. "Michael, do you want to go?"
Seeing that she was still playing coy, Michael glared at her. "Margaret, if you have something to say, just say it. If not, get out!"
Margaret felt a sharp sting of rejection in her heart. Despite her efforts, Michael seemed completely unmoved.
Finally, she stood up and said flatly, "This weekend, at Everpeak Mountain, they're having a team-building event. You can camp, fish, and stay overnight. They've already booked rooms. If you want to go, I can take you."
Michael's response was cold, "No need. Thanks."
Margaret was shocked by his indifference.
But then, Michael picked up the internal phone and told his secretary, "Send a notice to the staff. This weekend, we're having a team-building event at Everpeak Mountain. Bring your own tents and fishing gear. The company will cover food and lodging. Book your own rooms and keep the receipts for reimbursement." He hung up and glanced at Margaret.
It wasn't what Margaret had in mind, but she got the result she wanted.
She happily turned and walked out of the office.
Meanwhile, the hotel owners at Everpeak Mountain noticed something odd. Usually, winter was slow, but recently, rooms were getting booked for the last weekend of the month.
The weekend arrived quickly. Early in the morning, Samuel called Elizabeth. "Ms. Jones, have you left yet? I sent a driver to pick you up."
Elizabeth rejected, "No need, Mr. Taylor. There's a direct bus from my place to Everpeak Mountain. I'll take the bus to avoid traffic."
Samuel didn't push, "Alright then, Ms. Jones, call me when you arrive."
Elizabeth agreed, "Okay, Mr. Taylor."
Michael arrived early at Everpeak Mountain, leaving his wheelchair in the car. His bodyguard escorted him to the scene.
Several executives from the Jones Group saw Michael.
Alaric had already spilled the beans about Michael and Elizabeth's relationship in their group chat.
Many were skeptical at first. No one could believe that the ordinary Elizabeth was with Michael.
But seeing Michael there, their relationship seemed legit.
Otherwise, why would Stellar Enterprises join a team-building event organized by Zenith Investments and The Jones Group?
Executives whispered among themselves, amazed at how Elizabeth had managed to win over two major tycoons.
At that moment, Samuel's entire attention was focused on observing the intersection.Samuel was also watching the intersection.
He had a sinister plan in mind, one that he intended to execute today. It must succeed; failure was not an option.
