Chapter 129 Find an Excuse to Meet Her

Michael reached out to help her pull back the covers and gently lay her down. He gave her a soft pat. "Alright, Eloise, be a good girl and get some rest. We'll talk when you wake up, okay?"

Eloise mumbled sleepily, "Okay, Michael."

Later that evening, Elizabeth got home, and her phone rang. It was Dean Palmer, a partner at a technology company.

Elizabeth picked up.

"Hey, Elizabeth, you still up?" Dean asked with concern.

"Yes, it's not even ten o'clock yet. I just got back. Dean, what have you been busy with lately?"

"Been working on our project, of course. Remember the intelligent robot for sorting delivery packages?"

"Yeah, I remember. There were still some bugs before I returned to the country, right?"

Dean's voice lit up with excitement.

"Elizabeth, you won't believe it! I fixed all those bugs. I sent you a trial version. You should get it soon. This robot can sort packages intelligently and even help with housekeeping. Thought you might need one, so I sent it your way."

Elizabeth couldn't help but praise, "Dean, you're the best! Love you!"

Dean chuckled, "thanks, Elizabeth."

"Hey, Dean, I need to ask you something," Elizabeth said.

Dean felt a bit of pressure and sat up straight. "Sure, go ahead."

"Have you been teaching Nolan hacking skills again?"

"Why do you ask?"

"There are tons of hospitals in Evergreen City. I had surgery today at Harmony Health Hospital and didn't tell anyone. But Nolan found me there with Pearl. "Have you taught them how to track a phone signal?"

Dean originally intended to deny it, as he had promised Nolan to keep it a secret.

However, since Elizabeth had already found out, there was no need to keep it confidential anymore, so he admitted, "Yes, I did show him how to do it before."

He thought to himself, 'Nolan's hacking skills are pretty advanced now; I don't need to teach him anything more. But Elizabeth probably doesn't know how good Nolan has gotten.'

Elizabeth spoke seriously, "Dean, Nolan is only four. Even if he's super smart, teaching him hacking skills isn't a good idea. At his age, he might misuse them. He's just a kid and can't always tell right from wrong."

Dean agreed, but he knew it was too late. Nolan had already learned everything.

But he trusted Nolan wouldn't use his skills for anything bad. Nolan was a good kid.

Later that night, Eloise was still asleep in the hospital bed.

Michael turned on his computer. Daniel had sent him the surveillance footage from the entrance of the Harmony Health Hospital emergency center.

Michael opened the video and watched it at double speed, scrutinizing every detail.

But his eyes were getting sore and red, almost tearing up, and he still couldn't find any footage of Eloise.

How did she get to Harmony Health Hospital?

Did she not go through the emergency center?

Did Calla lie? Or did the hospital director lie to Calla?

What if Eloise hadn't fainted? Is that possible?

What if she was brought in while conscious? He also needed to find out who Eloise had been in contact with from the time she went missing until she arrived at the hospital, in order to eliminate any danger to her.

He had to find the person who brought Eloise to the hospital.

He wanted to thank them in person.

Even if that person refused his reward, he would still offer assistance in other ways.

This person saved Eloise, which was like saving both of them.

Michael took out his phone and made a call.

"Send me the surveillance footage from the entrance of Harmony Health Hospital for the entire day."

Soon, Michael got a notification.

He opened the footage and kept watching it bit by bit.

Still, no sign of Eloise.

But then, he saw a familiar figure.

That figure was too familiar.

For the past four years, that figure had haunted his dreams.

Michael's expression changed.

He extracted that part of the video and enlarged it in a separate folder.

The back of that woman looked too much like Elizabeth.

But who were the two kids with her?

Elizabeth didn't have kids.

She once had the chance to have kids, but he forced her to have an abortion.

And in these four years, they hadn't divorced. She couldn't have had another man's kids.

From the way the two kids in the video clung to that woman, she had to be their mom, not someone else.

It seemed like this person just had a back that looked like Elizabeth, but it couldn't be her.

Besides, he had just seen Elizabeth today, and she wasn't wearing those clothes.

But maybe she changed clothes to meet Sarah for dinner.

After thinking it over, Michael decided to save the extracted video. He needed to meet with Elizabeth to confirm if it was really her.

He thought, this was a good excuse to see Elizabeth.

Otherwise, what would he say to her when they met?

The next day was the weekend, so no need to take Nolan and Pearl to school.

Nancy had made breakfast and ate with the kids without waking up Elizabeth as she had been too tired these days so Nancy wanted to let her sleep a bit longer.

But Elizabeth's sleep was interrupted by a phone call.

Dean's international package had arrived.

The call informed Elizabeth to pick it up and sign for it.

Elizabeth brought the package back.

Hearing that it was sent by Dean, Pearl and Nolan eagerly offered to help her open it.

Inside the package was a life-sized robot.

Its height and build were more masculine.

Dean had told her that for different customers, based on their preferences, they could choose the appearance of the service robot. It could be customized to be either feminine or masculine.

The one Dean sent her was specifically for household organization.

Nolan and Pearl started reading the manual and they decided to call the robot Falcon.

Nolan was particularly interested in the robot so he quickly finished reading the manual.
