Chapter 415 Bed Exercise
Once they found out the news, would they hate him? Would they stop forgiving him?
He had hurt Elizabeth so many times already. In the future, would she still be able to accept him? Would she choose to understand him?
Would Pearl's newfound affection for him disappear again?
He decided to stop thinking about these troubling matters and held Elizabeth close as they fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, Elizabeth suddenly sat up.
Michael was startled awake and quickly sat up, holding her. "What's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
Elizabeth heard his voice and seemed to come back to her senses. She turned around and hugged his waist, snuggling into his arms.
"I was so scared! Michael, I had a dream that you married another woman. No matter how much I begged you, you were indifferent."
Michael's heart tightened, and he gently patted her back. "Don't worry. It was just a dream. The person I love most has always been you. Let's go back to sleep."
Elizabeth held onto his arm. "You were carrying Pearl and Nolan at the amusement park today. Your arms must be exhausted. Let me massage them for you."
Michael held her as they lay down. "No need. I'm not tired. It's not like I carry them every day. But you, nursing Francis every day, must be exhausted."
Elizabeth shook her head in his arms. "Francis is still small, not heavy. Pearl is already six years old. You shouldn't carry her all the time. It will spoil her."
Michael rested his chin on her head. "She's a girl; a little spoiling isn't too much."
"Actually, Pearl and Nolan are quite sensible. You don't need to be with them every moment like today. In the future, just spend time with them during breaks from work. But when you do, make sure you're fully present. Can you do that?"
Michael seemed to ignore her question and said softly, "I'm really tired today. Let's sleep first."
Elizabeth had asked casually, expecting Michael to agree without hesitation. After all, it should be an easy task for him now.
Unless he didn't want to live with them.
He didn't answer her question directly! Why was he avoiding it?
Elizabeth suddenly became alert. She sat up, her voice turning cold. "Michael, can you not do it? You keep saying you want to be a good father, that you'll grow up with the kids, that you'll make it up to me. Were those just lies?"
Michael pulled her into his arms. "Why would I lie to you? I just want you to sleep quickly. It's the middle of the night, and you're so energetic, making me want to do something else."
Elizabeth turned away from him, burying her head under the covers, her voice muffled. "Michael, go to sleep!"
Michael pulled the covers down and hugged her from behind, whispering in her ear, "Are you suggesting I enter from behind tonight?"
Elizabeth turned her head sharply. "Michael, why are you always thinking about that?"
He kissed her. "I'm holding you, my most beloved woman. You're so beautiful, your body so soft, so close to me. Do you expect me to be indifferent? I'm not impotent. How can I resist? Aren't you afraid I'll develop some problem from holding back?"
Elizabeth found his reasoning quite convincing. "But last night, we just..."
Michael's kisses didn't stop. "Last night was last night. I wish I could make love to you every day, every night. I love the feeling of being inside you. If it weren't for worrying about your body, I'd want to make love to you all night."
Elizabeth couldn't listen anymore. She quickly covered his mouth with her lips.
Michael stopped thinking about those troubling matters. Now, she was beneath him, yielding to him. He just needed to seize the moment of pleasure.
They kissed, and he left his mark on her body.
Her moans echoed in his ears, so sweet, encouraging him to move freely on her.
The fatigue of the day, combined with the night's lovemaking, soon put Elizabeth back to sleep.
Satisfied, Michael gently embraced her, took out a diamond ring from under the pillow, and placed it on her right ring finger.
He lifted her hand and kissed her fingertips.
He whispered in her ear, "Elizabeth, I love you."
Elizabeth was already asleep and didn't hear his declaration of love.
Celestria.
Margaret called Matthew.
"Matthew, I'm back."
"Margaret, how dare you call me? I regret ever liking you. I thought you had personality, but who knew your mind was so malicious?"
"Alright, Matthew, let's not talk about that. I want to see you."
"I don't want to see you. To me, you're no different from a viper. How do I know you haven't set another trap for me?"
"Matthew, I've been disfigured. I no longer hope for anyone's love or pity. But I feel guilty towards you. Everyone is celebrating Christmas, and I'm all alone. Yesterday, you must have spent Christmas with your family, right? Can you come see me today? Even if it's just to laugh at me?"
Matthew felt a bit of pity hearing Margaret's words. After all, she was the woman he had loved for so many years.
Margaret sent him her location.
Matthew asked, "You're still living in the old house?"
"Yes. Samuel bought it back for me. I have many beautiful memories here."
"Samuel is quite good to you. Didn't you say you had no family with you?"
"Matthew, let's talk when you get here."
Soon, Matthew arrived and had just pressed the doorbell when Margaret came to open the door.
Stepping inside again, Matthew felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him, as if it had been ages since he was last here.
"Matthew, sit down. I'll make you some coffee."
Matthew quickly waved his hand to stop her. "No need. I'm afraid you'll drug it."
Margaret felt a bit embarrassed. "Matthew, you don't have to say that to my face."
Matthew didn't look at her. "You did it, but you can't let others talk about it?"
Margaret sat down dejectedly. "Matthew, sit down. Talk with me."
Matthew sneered. "Do you think there's anything left for us to talk about?"
Margaret didn't give up. "Let's talk about something. In a few days, I'll be married, and we won't be able to meet alone like this."
Matthew was surprised. "You're getting married? To whom?"
Margaret smiled bitterly. "Do you think, looking like this, no one would marry me?"
She took off her mask, facing Matthew directly.
Matthew was shocked. After hearing about Margaret's disfigurement, he had imagined what she might look like.
She had been so beautiful. How bad could it be, even disfigured?
But now, looking at her face, which seemed to have a large hole, he was horrified.
