Chapter 505 Delivery
Elizabeth nodded. "Exactly, that's what I thought. But I never expected William and Anthony to cause me so much trouble."
Dean slammed his fist on the couch. "Honestly, we should let Michael handle William and Anthony! Those two scheming jerks from the Thomas family are only messing with you because they think you're an easy target."
Suddenly, Elizabeth's phone rang.
She glanced at it and then said to Dean, "Speak of the devil, guess who's calling."
Dean asked, "Is it Anthony?"
"Yep, it's him."
Elizabeth swiped to answer.
Anthony's voice sounded unusually excited. "Elizabeth! You're amazing! What did you do to make Michael transfer all his shares to Quinn so quickly?"
Elizabeth was stunned. "Anthony, what are you talking about? What do you mean?"
Anthony's tone turned mocking. "Elizabeth, stop pretending. Michael's lawyer just brought over all the documents and took Quinn and me to complete all the formalities."
"Now, all of Michael's shares in Stellar Enterprises have been transferred to Quinn. Your husband is now penniless! He can't flaunt his power in front of me anymore! Haha, I'm so happy! Soon, all those shares will be mine!"
Elizabeth was so shocked she couldn't react for a long time.
Seeing her distressed look, Dean quickly came over to support her and asked with concern, "Elizabeth, what's wrong? What happened? Is there a problem with Michael?"
Elizabeth ignored his questions and spoke into the phone, "Anthony, tell me, where are you now?"
Anthony laughed heartily. "Are you coming to find us? Oh, right, it's time for me to fulfill our promise. I'll hand Quinn over to you. Come on. We're in the lobby of the Opal Moon Hotel. You better hurry, I don't have much patience."
After hanging up, Elizabeth, looking distraught, said to Dean, "How did Michael find out I was planning to transfer his shares to Quinn?"
Dean looked at her with clear eyes. "I swear I never mentioned it to him."
Elizabeth lowered her head. "Of course, he's so resourceful and meticulous. How could he not notice my unusual behavior lately? He must have had someone investigate or follow me."
"But if he noticed something was off, why didn't he come to ask me directly? Why just give away the shares like that? What does he think of me?"
Dean said, "Elizabeth, no matter what, Michael lost more. He handed over his life's work. And don't you think he did it all for you? Maybe he just didn't want to see you suffer over this."
Elizabeth started crying. "I know! I just can't believe how foolish he is! He didn't know anything and just gave away all the shares. He's in his thirties, does he really have to start from scratch again in middle age? He's not young anymore, where will he find the energy to make a comeback? Couldn't he wait for me?"
Dean comforted her. "Hey, let's look on the bright side. At least Anthony's ready to keep his word, and you can get Quinn to help with Eloise's surgery ASAP. We can figure out Michael's situation later. You two are married, and there's no problem that can't be fixed. Once Eloise is better, bring her to Michael, and he'll be over the moon."
Elizabeth nodded. "You're right. The priority now is getting Eloise's surgery done; she can't wait any longer."
With that, she grabbed her keys and headed for the door.
Dean stopped her. "Let the driver take you. You're in no shape to drive."
Elizabeth nodded. "You're right."
As she went downstairs, she called Louis. "Louie, have you and Eloise settled in Valoria?"
Louis whispered, "Yeah, we've completed the admission procedures and are ready for surgery anytime. Eloise's condition is really bad; she's almost always asleep."
Elizabeth said urgently, "Louie, hang in there a little longer. Eloise can have the surgery soon. I'll bring Quinn to Valoria today."
Louis's excited voice came through. "Really, Elizabeth?"
"It's true, Louie, wait for me."
Elizabeth arrived at the Opal Moon Hotel lobby.
Sure enough, Anthony was there with Quinn.
As soon as Quinn saw Elizabeth, he stood up and gave her a shy smile.
After so long, Elizabeth finally saw him, and her eyes welled up. "Quinn, it's so good to see you again."
Elizabeth took his arm, rolled up his sleeve, and looked at his elbow.
Anthony awkwardly looked away, biting his finger. "Alright, Elizabeth, stop looking. I only drew his blood twice."
Elizabeth clenched her fists, restraining the urge to hit him. "Anthony, I'll deal with you later."
She grabbed Quinn's wrist and coldly said to Anthony, "Now that Michael's shares are gone, I'm taking Quinn."
Anthony snorted. "Fine, you can take him. But I'm warning you, Elizabeth, you have two weeks. That's enough time for one surgery. If I don't see Quinn after that, you'll regret it."
He handed over Quinn's documents and the share transfer papers to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth took them, glared at Anthony, and pulled Quinn away. "Quinn, let's go. There's no time to lose; Eloise can't wait."
On the way, Elizabeth called Dean. "Dean, I'm taking Quinn to see Eloise. The company and the kids are in your hands."
"Go ahead, I've got everything covered. Don't worry."
Elizabeth told the driver, "Head straight to the airport."
With that, she and Quinn flew directly to Valoria.
Louis met them at the airport.
On the way, he curiously asked Elizabeth, "Did William and Anthony really hand Quinn over so easily?"
Elizabeth looked down and replied, "Of course not. Michael transferred all his shares in Stellar Enterprises to Quinn."
Louis was puzzled. "Transferred to Quinn? What does that have to do with Anthony and William? What do they gain?"
Elizabeth explained, "Because Quinn is not fully capable of managing his affairs, William and Anthony are his guardians. They can exercise control over the company on his behalf."
