Chapter 311 Poisonous Plot

In the CEO's office of FutureTech Robotics Group, Jennifer and Calla were celebrating their initial victory with a drink.

Jennifer gazed out at the night sky, a smug expression on her face. "By now, Elizabeth should be in Silver King's hands, right?"

Calla, looking more worried, replied, "I won't relax until we get the final confirmation."

Jennifer shot her a sidelong glance. "Calla, you're too cautious. Elizabeth is just a weak pregnant woman. Once she's in Silver King's territory, there's no way she can escape."

Calla responded, "You don't know Michael's methods. He will try to save her. The question is whether he'll succeed."

Jennifer walked over and clinked her glass with Calla's. "Calla, you were the key to this operation. If you hadn't called and lured Louis out, our plan wouldn't have gone so smoothly."

Calla looked down. "At first, he didn't agree to meet."

Jennifer was curious. "What? Then how did you get him to go with you? From what I know, Louis is very principled."

Calla took a sip of her wine. "I took a gamble. I bet he had feelings for Elizabeth. I told him I knew Elizabeth was Emily's final and most important disciple, and that Pearl and Nolan are Michael's biological children. If he didn't come, I would tell Michael everything."

Jennifer continued to probe. "And then? He just went along with it?"

Calla nodded. "Yes."

Jennifer smirked. "Louis is too naive. He didn't realize that even if he went, you'd still tell Michael eventually."

She moved closer to Calla, clearly intrigued by the story. "What happened next? In the restaurant?"

Calla gave her a strange look. "You already know what happened. You booked the entire restaurant, and there were no other guests. You had the surveillance footage destroyed. Louis came in, I offered him a drink, and he passed out after drinking it. Then..."

Before Calla could finish, Jennifer quickly stepped away.

Calla found Jennifer's behavior odd tonight, but since they were partners in this scheme, she didn't dwell on it.

She continued, "Your people tied Louis up, put him in a car, and took him away. Silver King's private jet was nearby and flew him straight to Valoria."

Jennifer nodded with a smile. "Calla, you really were the MVP in this. Silver King is on a whole different level. Someone like me could never get close to him."

Calla, feeling pleased with Jennifer's praise, took another sip of wine. "I was just lucky. I was looking for a skilled assistant doctor and met some friends through medical websites. One of them mentioned a wealthy businessman in Valoria with a chronic headache that couldn't be cured. After some digging, I found out about him."

Jennifer said, "That must be Silver King. I've heard he's incredibly wealthy."

Calla nodded. "He's not just rich. He has many ways to deal with people he dislikes or who cross him. They often disappear without a trace."

Jennifer remarked, "He sounds terrifying."

Calla added, "It's best not to get involved with him. I think he has some psychological issues. He enjoys using cruel methods to torture people."

Jennifer gave a cold smile. "I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to Elizabeth."

Calla also smiled coldly. "Elizabeth won't have a good end. Silver King's condition can only be cured with surgery. But do you think someone like him would let anyone cut open his head? Elizabeth is doomed. She'll die a horrible death."

Jennifer said meaningfully, "Calla, it seems that anyone who crosses you doesn't end well either."

Calla replied softly, "That's right, so don't mess with me. I'm not to be trifled with."

Jennifer escorted Calla to the VIP elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. "Safe travels."

Then, Jennifer returned to her office, closed the door, and opened the surveillance video on her phone. The video showed their recent conversation, with clear footage. She removed the memory card from the camera, holding it in her hand with a satisfied smile.

Then, she took out a voice recorder from her pocket, played back the recording, and listened to their conversation.

Estimating the time, Calla should be on her way home. Jennifer called her. "Calla, are you home yet?"

Calla, still in the cab, was surprised by Jennifer's concern. "I'm still on the way, almost there."

Jennifer laughed. "Good. Once you're on the path, there's no turning back."

Calla found the comment strange. "Ms. Johnson, what do you mean by that?"

Jennifer replied, "Calla, you're still too young. How can you not be cautious around people?"

Calla instantly tensed up. "What did you put in my drink?"

Jennifer laughed heartily. "You're thinking too small. You're still young! When I was running the streets, you were still in diapers! How can you compete with me?"

Calla's face changed. "Jennifer! What did you do to me?"

She started to gag herself with her fingers.

The driver, noticing her distress, glanced in the rearview mirror and politely asked, "Ms. Griffin, do you need me to pull over?"

Jennifer ignored her reaction and continued in a completely different tone. "Calla, be polite when you talk to me. Yes, I hired male escorts. Yes, I slept with younger men. I admit I have unfulfilled desires. So what? Is that shameful? Shouldn't the shame be on your father? He couldn't satisfy me, neither physically nor financially. Why shouldn't I find a way to fulfill my own needs?"

Calla was stunned for a moment, unable to argue, but she still said, "I've told you before, I won't interfere in your family matters. But you still owe me those two billion dollars. Don't think you can just walk away from that."

The driver, overhearing the conversation, glanced at her again, making Calla uneasy.

Jennifer had already played the recording on the voice recorder, and their conversation was clearly audible through her phone.
