Chapter 107 Get Pregnant

In the firelight, Aurora's eyes shone with determination, and her delicate features exuded an indescribable charm.

Chris was momentarily stunned, staring at Aurora, unable to snap out of it.

"Mr. Harris, we have to go," the bodyguards said, lifting Chris and abandoning the wheelchair.

Chris snapped back to reality and urgently said to Aurora, "Get in the car. Let's go together."

"You go first," Aurora said seriously to the bodyguards, "Make sure to get him back safely, do you hear me? If anything happens to Mr. Harris, you won't be off the hook."

"Yes," the bodyguards instinctively obeyed Aurora's command, though they didn't know why.

There was another road behind the abandoned factory, and Chris and his group drove away from the back.

Sitting in the car, Chris watched Aurora's figure gradually fade into the distance and suddenly became anxious. "Stop the car! A bunch of men leaving a woman behind, isn't that pathetic?"

"Mr. Harris, it's Nightfall; they kill without mercy. They're definitely after you. As long as we leave, Ms. White will be fine."

The bodyguard didn't stop but instead accelerated.

After seeing them leave, Aurora extinguished the fire and started running down the small path.

Aurora ran and soon got lost.

This place was too remote, with weeds as tall as a person, making it impossible to tell directions.

Aurora's leg hurt badly, and the dried blood on her forehead was also throbbing.

This year had been unlucky for her; she had already been in two car accidents, but fortunately, she was still alive.

Suddenly, Aurora heard footsteps behind her and the sound of weeds being parted.

Someone was chasing her.

Aurora glanced back but could only vaguely see a man coming after her due to the darkness and the obstructing weeds.

Aurora's heart skipped a beat. She didn't continue forward but instead hid in a dense patch of weeds.

She was so nervous that her palms were sweating, and her heart was racing.

She heard the footsteps getting closer and closed her eyes in fear, silently praying.

'Please don't find me, and don't see me.'

Aurora was terrified and didn't dare open her eyes. Suddenly, a hand landed on her shoulder, and she jumped in fright.

"You've got the wrong person. Don't kill me! Ah!"

Aurora was grabbed and hugged tightly, causing her to scream even more, still not daring to open her eyes.

"Aurora, open your eyes."

The familiar voice in her ear calmed Aurora down. She opened her eyes abruptly and turned around.

John took off the Grim Reaper mask from his face.

Aurora was stunned, her eyes wide with surprise and joy. "John? How is it you? You finally came. If you hadn't, I would have died out here."

Aurora felt like she had found her anchor. The strength she had been holding onto crumbled, and she hugged John, crying and laughing.

"It's okay now, I'm here. After you went missing, I found out Chris had brought you here, so I came." John saw the blood on Aurora's forehead, his gaze deep and intense. "How did you get hurt? Are you hurt anywhere else?"

"Everywhere hurts, here and here," Aurora pointed to her leg and hand. She felt pain all over, her legs a bit weak. The tension from earlier disappeared now that John was here, and she didn't need to hold on anymore.

John picked her up. "Did Chris do this?"

Aurora heard the killing intent in John's voice and quickly said, "It has nothing to do with him. John, you have already taken one of his legs. I just got a little hurt; it's nothing. You can't take revenge for me again."

John's deep eyes gazed at Aurora. "I'll take you to the hospital first."

Aurora speaking up for Chris surprised John a bit.

The car was parked by the roadside. Sam and Tyler, along with others, saw John return and took off their masks.

"Mr. Lewis, Ms. White."

Aurora glanced at Sam and Tyler and the dozen or so people holding small ghost masks behind them, suddenly realizing, "John, you're the leader of Nightfall?"

"Yes," John nodded straightforwardly.

Aurora was shocked. "How many more identities are you hiding from me?"

She then remembered the time she and Sophia were in the alley behind the bar and encountered Nightfall members. They thought they were doomed but were let go. Now she knew why.

"No more," John said honestly. "I've been looking for the right time to tell you."

"Just couldn't find the opportunity, right?" Aurora continued John's words, patting her chest. "Give me a moment to calm down. You suddenly turned into a ruthless killer; I can't take it."

"Okay." John put her in the car and instructed Sam, "To the hospital. Everyone else back to the base."

Sam replied, "Yes, Mr. Lewis."

Through the car window, Aurora watched John's subordinates put on their masks and leave in an orderly manner, feeling a bit shocked.

She never thought she would be so close to Nightfall members, and now she was lying in the arms of Nightfall's leader.

Everything was too amazing.

John had told her they were going to the dock to watch the excitement, but it was just a cover for him dealing with Rex.

None of that mattered now. Aurora suddenly remembered, "John, where's Jack?"

"Jack was taken by the Wolfpack Organization, but don't worry. They don't intend to harm him. As for the specific reason, I don't know yet," John said, his eyes narrowing. "Aurora, who are Jack's parents?"

"I don't know," Aurora genuinely didn't know. "Jack was brought back by my mother years ago. No one knows who his parents are, and my mother never mentioned it. Why are you asking?"

John's lips tightened. "I suspect Jack is with the Wolfpack."

"How could that be?" Aurora was even more shocked.

Jack had grown up under her watch and had never had any contact with the Wolfpack Organization. Aurora was sure of that.

"If I'm right, Jack will contact you soon," John said, "Don't worry about him now. Let's get you to the hospital and check your condition."

Aurora's wrists were red from being tied, the blood on her forehead had dried, and other injuries weren't visible. John was only concerned about Aurora's health.

By the time they reached the hospital, it was almost 4 AM. The on-duty doctor came to examine Aurora.

The final diagnosis was minor injuries, and Aurora just needed a few days of rest. John finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Aurora also felt that aside from the pain, she could walk and run, so it wasn't a big problem, just very sleepy.

At that moment, a nurse passed by with a sandwich, and the strong smell made Aurora's stomach churn, causing her to dry heave.

The doctor noticed, and his eyes lit up. "Ms. White, when was your last period?"

"Last time?" Aurora thought for a moment. "I think it was on the 14th of last month. Doctor, why?"

John was also nervous. "Doctor, is my wife sick?"

The term "my wife" made Aurora blush.

The doctor smiled. "I suggest you do another check-up. It might be good news."

Aurora and John exchanged a glance, both realizing what he meant.

They had indeed been quite active recently, so there might really be a little one on the way.
