Chapter 432 Jack Returns to Testify Against John

Aurora blurted out, and Todd immediately turned to her. "Aurora, do you know who took Lori?"

Aurora shook her head, trying to steady herself. "I don't know them, but that tattoo looks familiar."

Aurora wasn't telling the whole truth. She didn't dare to.

The tattoo on the arm of the person who took Lori was something she had seen on Jack's arm before.

She remembered clearly when Jack said he had been captured by the Scorpion Gang, and the scar on his arm looked like a twisted, grotesque centipede.

But the person who took Lori had a centipede tattoo on their arm.

This couldn't be a coincidence.

"Whoever it is, I need to find Lori right now."

Todd was in a hurry, rushing downstairs with Aurora following. "Todd, you..."

Before she could finish, they both noticed a young stranger in the living room.

The young man, dressed in a suit, had his back to Aurora and Todd, who were busy packing.

Both of them were puzzled.

Who was this guy?

How did he get in?

Lori's gigolo?

A thief?

Or an accomplice of the people who took Lori?

Without thinking, Todd grabbed a nearby baseball bat and swung it at the stranger's back.

The young man was quick and agile, flipping over the table to dodge the blow.

As he steadied himself and looked up, Aurora was stunned. "Ava?"

Todd was equally shocked.

The "young man" in the white suit was actually Ava.

Ava had cut her long hair into a short crop and was dressed in men's clothing, looking incredibly handsome and cool. If you didn't know she was a woman, you'd definitely mistake her for a man.

And not just any man, but the kind that could make other men question their sexuality.

With her striking looks and aloof demeanor, Ava could easily outshine any so-called male celebrity.

Ava, with her hands in her pockets, glanced at Aurora and Todd. "Just got back from handling some business and changed my hairstyle. What are you two doing here?"

That glance was so captivating.

Aurora said, "Ava, you look so handsome. If I weren't married, I'd totally chase after you."

Todd felt the pressure, too. Normally, Lori and Ava were inseparable, making people seriously suspect there was something more between them.

Now, with Ava dressed as a man, she was attracting both men and women.

Todd teased, "Aurora, have some dignity. If John heard that, he'd be jealous."

"Everyone appreciates beauty," Aurora said, getting back to the point. "By the way, Ava, something's happened to Lori."

Ava's expression immediately turned serious. "What happened?"

Aurora quickly explained the situation, and Ava's face grew more tense and cold.

Todd said, "I'm going to mobilize everyone to find Lori right now."

He couldn't wait a moment longer when it came to Lori and drove off.

Ava also used her connections to search for Lori.

Aurora called John, knowing he was at the office, and drove straight there.

Some things were better discussed in person.

Todd mobilized the Nightfall group, and John naturally got the news. He canceled his afternoon meetings and asked Aurora, "What's going on?"

"Someone took Lori. I suspect it's Jack's people."

On the way, Aurora had tried to contact Jack but couldn't reach him.

She wasn't sure yet, so she hadn't told Todd.

Lori and Jack were siblings, and Aurora couldn't figure out why Jack would take Lori.

"Don't worry, I'll have people look into it right away," John assured her.

"John, I think I should go to the Ironclad Union myself. It's more direct."

"No way," John immediately refused. "It's too dangerous."

"Jack grew up with me. He won't harm me. He didn't do anything to me last time."

"This time is different..."

Before he could finish, Aurora got a call from Wendy. "Aurora, come to the White Villa for dinner tonight. Jack's back, and we're all having dinner together."

"Mom, what did you say? Jack's back?" Aurora couldn't believe it. What was Jack doing at the White Villa now?

Wendy laughed. "Yes, Jack called and said he'd be here soon."

Aurora and John exchanged a look, knowing things weren't that simple.

"Okay, Mom, I'll be there soon."

After hanging up, Aurora said, "I'm heading to the White Villa right now to see what's going on."

"I'll go with you."

"Alright."

John drove, and they headed to the White Villa together.

They were a step behind Jack. By the time they arrived, Jack was already there.

The atmosphere in the White Villa's living room was unusually tense, like a dark cloud hanging over everyone.

Wendy, Dean, Alexander, and Samuel were all there, with Jack sitting next to Wendy. His left sleeve was empty.

As soon as they entered the living room, everyone looked at them with strange expressions.

Aurora broke the silence first. "Jack, you're back!"

Facing Jack, who had lost his left arm, Aurora didn't know what to say.

Even though she knew Jack had lost his arm, seeing him without it in person was still overwhelming.

"Aurora, John," Wendy suddenly slammed the table, demanding, "Explain why Jack lost his arm, where it happened, and how it happened. You told me he went on a trip with friends, but Jack says that's not true."

Aurora's heart sank, knowing this was bad.

Wendy was deeply connected to Jessica, who had entrusted Jack to her before she passed. Now that Jack had lost an arm, Wendy was bound to ask questions.

Aurora began, "Mom, Jack's arm was..."

"It was lost on the island," John interrupted, knowing Wendy was waiting for his explanation. "The island's traps were triggered, causing an explosion. Jack lost his arm then."

"But what did you tell me before?" Wendy was furious. "Aurora, Jack is your brother, and you kept this from me. He almost died. You hate Richard, but you can't take it out on Jack. You tricked him and cost him his arm. He's only in his twenties. You've ruined his life."

Aurora tried to explain. "Mom, it's not what you think. The truth is..."

"Aurora, you've been deceived by John. He wants to eliminate all threats. When I was captured, John's people dealt with the captors but left me stranded at sea. I heard one of them say the final trap on the island would activate. John planned to kill me and avoid responsibility. When the explosion happened, I dived into the sea to survive and expose John's true nature."

Jack, furious, pointed at John. "Aurora, don't be fooled by him. My arm is gone because of him."
