Chapter 124 Feeling So Wronged

Aurora took Loren back to the Robinsons' place. The kid didn't say a word, just stared out the window the whole ride.

Once they got home, Loren bolted straight to his room, ignoring everyone like they were invisible.

Aurora was worried sick and tried everything to cheer him up, but the kid wouldn't crack a smile.

"Loren, I'm sorry I was late," Aurora said, pulling him onto her lap and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "No one's gonna mess with you when I'm around."

Loren just looked down, fidgeting with his hands, tears starting to pool in his eyes. He looked so darn sad.

Aurora's heart was breaking. "Loren."

Loren turned away, shuffled to a corner, squatted down, and started whimpering. His small figure was just heartbreaking.

Aurora was at a loss. Seeing usually cheerful Loren so upset was killing her.

Leaning against the wall, Loren said tearfully, "I'm a kid nobody loves. No mom or dad. They don't want me. Everyone laughs at me."

He started crying harder.

At kindergarten, he had held back his tears despite the insults, which was unusual.

How could a young heart handle such hurt?

"Loren, don't cry. You have me. You're not unwanted. We all like you," Aurora said softly.

"But you're not my mom. I'm still a kid without parents. No one will play with me," Loren said, wiping his tears. "I want my brother. Where are you, brother? I'm so sad. Someone bullied me. Come help me."

In the orphanage, his brother always stood up for him. With his brother's protection, he was carefree.

Loren really missed his brother.

Loren cried his heart out, and Aurora felt sorrow. She held him, gently patting his back. "I'll find your brother. Trust me. Don't cry. You're so cute. How could no one want to play with you?"

"My dear, what's wrong? Why are you crying so sadly?" Ashley came in after hearing the noise and saw Loren crying, feeling heartbroken. "Sweetie, tell me, what's wrong?"

"Grandma," Loren ran to Ashley, threw himself into her arms, and cried loudly. "They called me a bastard, tied me up, and wouldn't let me play."

"Oh my, what happened?" Ashley asked Aurora, "Aurora, what happened? Who dared to bully Loren and even tied him up?"

"Loren was bullied at school," Aurora briefly explained.

Ashley was furious. "How dare they treat Loren like this? I'll go settle the score. Do they think the Robinson family is easy to bully?"

Leo and Kevin came in after hearing the crying. After knowing what happened, Kevin was also angry. "He's just a child. How could they do this? I'll go to the school and demand an explanation."

Aurora said, "Kevin, no need. I've already handled it. That kindergarten should be almost demolished by now."

"Good, demolish it. What's the use of such a school?" Ashley said, wiping Loren's tears. "My dear, you've suffered a lot. Don't cry. I will build a school for you. Let's see who dares to bully you then."

Ashley truly felt heartache for Loren, but Aurora was surprised by her promise to build a school. She thought it was just to comfort Loren.

"Loren, don't cry. If anything goes down, come to me. Whoever messes with you, I'll knock their block off," Leo said, feeling the kid's pain. Even though they usually butted heads, they had each other's backs when it counted.

"I want to find my brother. I miss him. Where is he? Does he not want me anymore?" Loren sobbed, covering his eyes.

"Brother? Who's this brother?" Ashley and Leo were puzzled.

Everyone tried to comfort Loren, and he finally stopped crying.

Loren rubbed his belly. "Grandma, I'm hungry."

"Let's get you some grub. Today's menu is all your favorites," Ashley said, taking Loren downstairs. "Tomorrow, we'll go out and buy you some toys."

Leo tagged along. "Wanna visit the company with me?"

"Okay," Loren nodded, perking up. "I want to see if you're slacking off."

"Alright, you keep an eye on me," Leo said, pinching Loren's cheek with a grin. "Come on, I'll carry you."

Leo was really stepping up as an uncle.

With Loren around, Leo had gone from aimless to responsible.

Kevin noticed Leo's change. After Ashley and the others left, Kevin turned to Aurora. "Aurora, don't worry. Kids have short memories. He'll forget about today soon."

"Kevin, I'm sorry for causing trouble again," Aurora said. Everyone knew she was Kevin's goddaughter, and her actions affected the Robinson family.

"We're family. No need to apologize. Loren's pain is our pain," Kevin said. "Loren mentioned a brother. Does he have one?"

"Yeah, he told me before. They got separated after leaving the orphanage," Aurora said. "But I don't know where to find him. I don't even know his name or what he looks like. I'm worried he might have fallen into the hands of traffickers."

"Poor kid." Kevin sighed. "Loren is so good-looking and smart. He must have an extraordinary background."

"I think so, too," Aurora said, frowning. "No one would abandon two such adorable boys."

If it were a girl or a sick child, it might be understandable. But Loren was so smart and likable.

Kevin said, "How about I get someone to help look for him? A young child needs parental love."

"Okay." Aurora also wanted to find Loren's parents. The harsh words from the other kids would leave a scar on Loren's heart. Finding his biological parents might heal that scar.

After what happened, Aurora stayed with the Robinsons and didn't return to the Lewis Mansion.

Aurora's confrontation with the ladies quickly spread. Everyone thought she was too arrogant. But when they heard she was the future head of the Lewis family, they changed their tune, criticizing the ladies instead. Aurora had the right to be arrogant. Who would dare oppose her?

This news reached Emily. She was gloating, thinking Aurora had made many enemies.

"Aurora is asking for trouble, making enemies everywhere," Emily said with a smile while trimming flowers. "I want to see her downfall when everyone turns against her."

A female voice came from behind. "You mentioned Aurora had a child. Find that child. We can't have another mix-up like at the recognition banquet. I want Aurora's child."
