Chapter 278 Summer and Loren Enter the Entertainment Industry
Aurora and John had known each other for so long that she naturally understood him.
John had been staying with her these days; he must be plotting something else.
Lori and Ava exchanged a glance. Lori said, "Aurora, is it that serious? It can't be. Even if John is unlucky and goes bankrupt, he can still protect himself. Don't worry."
"What worries me is Sandra," Aurora said. "Sandra is far more ruthless and vicious than her sister Jennifer. Being my half-sister, if Sandra targets John, he will be unprepared and vulnerable."
Ava said, "Aurora, I think you should be worried about yourself. If John really goes to Aetheria, you'll be alone. If I were Sandra, I'd definitely target you."
Ava's words were a wake-up call for Aurora, sending a chill down her spine. Aurora asked, "If you were Richard, what would you do?"
Mentioning Richard, Ava instinctively glanced at Lori.
Lori said, "Don't look at me. Someone like him is too cunning for me to figure out, but he surely won't do anything good."
Ava looked at Aurora. "What do you mean?"
Aurora said, "My mom has been dead for so many years, and Richard still hasn't let go of his resentment. I'm worried Richard will come to Silvercrest City."
Lori rolled up her sleeves and said, "If he can handle my fists, let him come. Ava, you go to Aetheria, and I'll stay in Silvercrest City to protect Aurora."
If Lori really encountered Richard, she would definitely be conflicted. Aurora didn't want Lori and her father toturn against each other for her sake. Just as she was about to speak, Ava beat her to it, saying, "I'll leave now. Contact me if anything happens."
Ava left that afternoon, and Lori stayed behind, guarding Aurora in the hospital 24/7.
The next few days were calm. John never told the truth, and Aurora pretended not to know that John had gone to Aetheria. They contacted each other by phone once a day.
Aurora was discharged from the hospital after a week. Kevin and Ashley took her to the Robinson family. Dean wanted Aurora and the children to return to the White family, but the Robinson family refused firmly.
Lloyd and Helen were temporarily sent to the countryside. On the night Aurora was discharged, Todd personally escorted them to leave Silvercrest City.
Aurora moved into the Robinson family with her four children, and Ashley hired four more nannies to help.
With no home to return to, Summer and Loren also sensed the seriousness of the situation.
That night, the brothers sat cross-legged on the floor, counting their pocket money, wanting to help the family.
Loren saw that Summer had half more than he did and exclaimed, "Summer, why do you have so much?"
A significant portion of Summer's allowance had been deceitfully acquired from Todd. He naturally didn't tell the truth and casually remarked, "Back on the island, we received monthly stipends, which I saved up over time."
Loren believed him completely, as he always trusted Summer completly.
Loren said, "Summer, you can take all my pocket money too and see how much it can help Dad."
Summer said, "I'm going to find Mommy. Loren, you go to sleep first."
Summer took the money to Aurora's room. Trey and Jax were with the nannies; Aurora had been recovering well and could move around these days.
"Mommy." Summer turned the doorknob and entered.
"Sweetie, why aren't you asleep yet?" Aurora was about to rest.
"Mommy, this is the pocket money Loren and I saved. You take it." Summer generously handed over the cash and the money in the card. "It's over five million dollars. Use it to pay off Dad's debt."
"Summer, you two saved this much?" Aurora was very surprised. She thought back to when she was Summer's age, she had at most a few dozen dollars. After her mother died, she hardly had money and became a pitiful child.
After graduating and working for a few years, Aurora hadn't saved much. While the kids' pocket money actually amounted to millions, which was a stark contrast.
Summer said, "Some of it was given by the elders."
Aurora was very touched. "Sweetie, you keep this money. I'll work with your dad to pay off the debt."
Summer said generously, "Mommy, don't be polite with me. Take it. By the way, Mommy, Loren and I have decided to become stars."
"Stars?" Aurora didn't react immediately.
Summer said, "We want to become big stars like Lucas. With our looks, we can surpass all child stars in the entertainment industry and dominate the trending topics."
Aurora was amused. "Who gave you this idea to become big stars and support the family?"
"Mommy, don't laugh. I'm serious," Summer said in a mature tone, "Dad and Nightfall are in trouble. As the eldest son, I should take on the responsibility. Lucas said the entertainment industry makes money fast, so Loren and I decided to become child stars."
Aurora was both amused and touched.
Aurora teased, "Sweetie, I think with your dad and mom's looks, becoming stars would be easier, right?"
Summer said earnestly, "If Dad enters the entertainment industry, with his outstanding charm, he'd attract a lot of women. Then you'd get jealous, and our family would be in crisis. If you two split up, we'd become children of a single-parent family."
Aurora was stunned. This analysis was long-term and spot-on.
Summer continued, "I also thought about hacking a bank to get some money. Then I would alter the numbers and add a few zeros to the balance. No one would know..."
Aurora was alarmed and quickly said, "Sweetie, don't even think about it. You're too young to go to jail."
Summer's ideas were perilous, and Aurora was exceedingly worried.
"Mommy, don't worry. I've given up on that idea and am preparing to enter the entertainment industry." Summer clenched his little fists, showing a manly spirit. "Mommy, you stay home and take care of Trey and Jax. Goodnight, Mommy."
After saying that, Summer left. Aurora thought her sons couldn't really enter the entertainment industry and didn't take it seriously.
Aurora slept soundly until broad daylight, only to be roused by the incessant ringing of her phone.
Sophia was excitedly screaming on the other end, "Aurora, turn on the TV! Summer and Loren are on TV. They went on 'Baby Rush Forward.' It's been on for less than an hour and they're already trending with tens of thousands of fans."
