Chapter 293 Todd Let Sandra Go
If Sandra really showed up at the party, she must have a purpose.
Aurora quickly turned around; Sam and Tyler happened to come over. Aurora said, "Sandra is very likely here. You two go and bring Summer and Loren back."
Upon hearing this, Sam and Tyler's expressions turned serious. "Don't worry, Mrs. Lewis. We'll go get them right away."
Aurora quickly walked over to John and whispered, "I think I just saw Sandra."
John's brows furrowed slightly. "I'll have Todd handle it." He couldn't leave at the moment.
John glanced around the hall but didn't see Todd. The he asked, "Aurora, have you seen Todd?"
"I saw him just now. I asked him to help greet Lori in a bit before. Where did he go?" Aurora couldn't see him either and thought he was unreliable. Then she said, "I'll go find our son."
John reminded, "Alright, be safe."
Aurora nodded. "Okay!"
Aurora stepped out of the hall once more. Emily had been observing her intently. Noticing Aurora's repeated exits and entries, Emily was certain something was amiss.
Emily, eager to stir up some trouble, put down her wine glass and followed her out.
Meanwhile, in the restroom, Todd was standing in front of the mirror, adjusting his suit, even fixing his stray hairs.
Todd muttered, "So handsome!"
Todd looked at himself in the mirror, unable to resist praising himself, feeling very narcissistic.
After Todd feltsatisfied, he finally walked out of the restroom. He walked quickly and collided with a trash cart at the corner.
Then his suit got torn. Todd's face instantly darkened. Seeing that the other person was a cleaner, he suppressed his anger.
Todd reluctantly said, "Forget it; forget it."
The cleaner apologized, "Sorry."
The person pushing the cart was Sandra. She was wearing a mask, head down, dressed in a cleaner's uniform.
Todd's good mood was ruined, but he didn't argue with a cleaner and walked past her.
As he walked by, Todd smelled a faint perfume scent. Being knowledgeable about perfumes, he immediately recognized it as a high-end brand, costing over five thousand dollars a bottle.
A cleaner with such a low salary couldn't afford such an expensive perfume!
"Stop." Todd turned around and called out to Sandra, who was about to leave. "Turn around and take off your mask."
Sandra kept her head down, gripping the cart handle tightly, not daring to turn around.
Todd sensed something was wrong and walked around to face Sandra.
Suddenly, Sandra pushed the cart hard against Todd and immediately ran away with it.
Todd quickly grabbed Sandra's mask, revealing her face. Surprised, he said, "Sandra, it really is you. What are you doing here?"
Sandra covered her face with her hand, afraid of anyone seeing the scar on her face.
Sandra said, "You've got the wrong person. I'm not Sandra."
Todd grabbed Sandra's hand. "Don't think about leaving. Tell me, what are you doing here, Sandra? I'm warning you, don't cause trouble here. Our patience is limited."
Todd knew about Sandra's recent attempt to capture Summer and Loren at Skyvale Village.
Sandra couldn't break free and said, "I just came to see John. I have no other intentions. We've known each other for so many years. Don't you know what kind of person I am?"
Todd mocked. "Alexander's daughter, you and your sister kept us in the dark for so many years. I really can't tell what kind of person you are. I advise you not to cause trouble again, or you'll end up like Jennifer."
Sandra suddenly appeared pitiful and said, "John and Aurora already have four sons and are about to have a wedding. What can I do? I'm wanted everywhere now. I can't leave the country even if I want to. I just heard John would be here today, so I came to secretly see him. Is that not allowed?"
Sandra deliberately showed Todd the scar on her face, which was hideous and terrifying.
"Do you know how I got this scar? Aurora did it. The wound was too deep to heal. I've had over ten reconstructive surgeries, but it still can't be removed." Sandra started to cry. "Appearance is so important to a woman. Now I can't even show my face."
Seeing the scar on Sandra's face, Todd felt a bit sympathetic.
Sandra's exquisite face now bore an unsightly scar; it was understandable that she felt aggrieved.
Todd suggested, "Let Gary take a look at it. That guy is always researching weird stuff. Maybe he can fix your face."
Sandra had tried many methods and didn't hold out hope for Todd's suggestion.
Sandra said, "Todd, don't worry about me. This is my punishment. I have other things to do. I'm leaving now. Please don't tell John I was here. From now on, I won't bother John and Aurora again."
Sandra held back her tears, looking pitiful. With so many years of friendship, Todd couldn't bear to send her to the police.
Todd said, "If you're truly remorseful, I'm happy for you. Manage The Shadow of Darkness organization well and don't come back to Silvercrest City. Go."
"Thank you, Todd." Sandra wiped her tears and pushed the cart away.
Just after Sandra left, Lori rushed over. "Todd, have you seen Sandra?"
Her tone annoyed Todd. Todd said, "Shrew, look at you, all frantic. Can you be more ladylike? You have a woman's face but such a wild personality."
Lori exclaimed urgently, "Stop with the nonsense! Did you see Sandra? She's pushing a cart and wearing a cleaner's uniform."
"Yes, I saw her. She left. What's going on?" Todd was confused.
Lori glared at him. "You let her go?"
"Yeah!" Todd thought Lori was after Sandra for her previous attempt to capture Summer and Loren, so he said, "If you have the guts, catch her yourself."
Lori snapped, "You're so stupid. Loren is in Sandra's cart."
Todd was shocked. "What?"
"Which way did she go?" Lori didn't want to waste time talking to Todd.
Todd replied, "The back door."
Lori said, "Quick, chase her."
Lori ran towards the back door, calling Aurora as she ran. "Aurora, she went out the back door."
Just a few minutes ago, Aurora found Summer and learned that Loren wasn't with him. After checking the surveillance footage, they saw Loren had been drugged and put into Sandra's cart.
Lori had followed the surveillance to catch up.
Todd also ran to the back door and saw Sandra driving away. The cart she had pushed was left nearby.
Lori was furious. "Just a step too late."
Todd quickly walked to a nearby white car. The parking spots in the front lot were all full, so he had parked by the back door to take a shortcut.
Then Todd said, "Get in the car."
Lori got in the car. "License plate, 2862."
She had memorized Sandra's license plate number.
