Chapter 113 Watching Emily and Daniel Argue

Aurora wanted to cut ties with Daniel, but Chris kept pushing him towards her. Wasn't this just causing her trouble?

Chris's words made Daniel happy, and he eagerly said, "Aurora, I've always loved you. If it weren't for Emily clinging to me, I would've divorced her long ago."

Daniel then told Chris, "Mr. Harris, if you help me get rid of Emily and reconcile with Aurora, I'll owe you big time."

Emily was furious. "Daniel, what do you mean? I'm carrying your child, and you want to divorce me? Are you even human?"

Emily got up and started clawing at Daniel.

"Who knows whose child you're carrying, Emily? I've been more than kind to you," Daniel said, pushing her away. "You broke up Aurora and me. A woman like you isn't even worthy of tying Aurora's shoes. How could I ever be interested in you?"

Emily cried bitterly. "I'm carrying your child, Daniel. You can't slander me like this."

"You said I was drunk when I touched you, but I don't remember it. Maybe you cheated and are trying to pin this child on me," Daniel said, trying to distance himself from Emily.

"Daniel, you're a bastard," Emily grabbed Daniel's hand and ranted, "You're just turning your back on me because I'm down and out. The White family doesn't want me, and the Harris family doesn't acknowledge me. Don't think I don't know your real motive. You don't love Aurora; you're just interested in her now because she's Kevin's goddaughter."

Emily and Daniel started arguing while Aurora and Chris exchanged glances, just watching the show.

Aurora was annoyed. Why did their arguments always involve her? Didn't this make her collateral damage?

Daniel argued, "I love Aurora. It's you, you venomous woman, who made her misunderstand me." He turned to Aurora." Aurora, you have to believe me. I truly love you. Everything was Emily's doing, even on our wedding night, she drugged me."

"Ptooi," Emily spat angrily. "Don't think I didn't know you were completely sober back then. You were just pretending. When you heard I was Percy's daughter, you abandoned Aurora for your own future. You're selfish. I didn't force you."

The two of them tore each other down. They had once been united by mutual interests, but now that Emily was of no use, Daniel couldn't wait to sever all ties with her.

Daniel looked at the indifferent Aurora and made up his mind, pushing Emily away harshly and pointing at her angrily. "Enough. Look at yourself now: a rude and uncivilized woman. We're done. If you have any sense, just divorce me amicably, and I might give you some compensation."

"There's no way I'm divorcing you," Emily clutched her stomach, her face pale, her lower abdomen aching.

Daniel's actions had left her utterly disappointed.

She sneered, "Daniel, do you really think Aurora will get back together to you? You're dreaming. She's now connected to the Lewis family. You're just an illegitimate child. She doesn't care about you at all. Ask her if you don't believe me."

Daniel looked at Aurora and opened his mouth but didn't dare to ask.

Since he had fallen out with Aurora, she had completely changed. Even flowers and sweet words didn't work anymore. Aurora was determined not to look back.

At the charity gala, Daniel noticed something off between Aurora and John. If he asked and didn't get the answer he wanted, it would be a slap in the face.

Chris frowned, glanced at Aurora, and said disdainfully, "How could you have such poor taste before? You actually liked this guy?"

Aurora shrugged. "Who hasn't met a few douchebags in their life?"

"Aurora," Daniel said, looking at her with deep affection. "It was all Emily's doing. I'll divorce her right now and give you a grand wedding. Didn't you say you wanted to have the wedding in Provence? We'll go to Provence."

"Stop," Aurora quickly raised her hand. "Mr. Taylor, we're not that close."

She couldn't stand Daniel's fake affection. Thinking about how she had once dated him made her want to go back in time and slap herself.

It was truly an embarrassing chapter in Aurora's life.

Aurora looked at Chris. "You brought him here, so please deal with him."

Chris couldn't stand Daniel's hypocritical face either. He was a disgrace to the wealthy second-generation circle.

"Sorry for the trouble," Chris sincerely apologized to Aurora, with a hint of sympathy, then instructed the bodyguards, "Escort Mr. Taylor out."

As soon as Chris gave the order, the bodyguards approached Daniel, ready to throw him out if he didn't leave.

Daniel glared at Aurora. "Aurora, just tell me one thing. What's your relationship with John? Are you rejecting me because of him?"

Aurora felt helpless. What did he mean by acting like she had wronged him?

"Daniel, let me make it clear. We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Who I'm with or not with has nothing to do with you," she said.

If it weren't for their past relationship, Aurora would have cursed him out.

She used to think it was a beautiful memory, her first love. Now, she wished she could erase Daniel from her life.

Daniel looked heartbroken. "Aurora, you really are with John. John doesn't have long to live. He could die at any moment. You're with a dying man to get back at me? How foolish. There's no one who can treat you better than I do."

"Mr. Taylor, you're overthinking it," Aurora's patience was gone, and she sneered, "John is much better than you. Besides, if he dies, I'll inherit billions. That's something people can only dream of."

Hearing about billions, Emily and Daniel's eyes lit up with greed and envy, which they couldn't hide.

Emily blurted out, "That much?"

Chris also glanced at Aurora in surprise. This woman had quite the ambition and was truly ruthless. The man wasn't even dead yet, and she was already thinking about his inheritance.

Daniel was thrown out by the bodyguards. Emily wanted to leave too, but without Chris's permission, she didn't dare.

Emily clutched her stomach, looking weakly at Chris. "Mr. Harris, my stomach really hurts. Please let me go."

Emily didn't dare to call him "brother" anymore to avoid further humiliation.

Chris said coldly, "Why are you in such a hurry? My leg was broken by your slut of a mother. A debt from the mother should be repaid by the daughter. You can leave, but leave a leg behind."

Emily was scared stiff.

Aurora glanced at Chris. He wouldn't really cut off one of Emily's legs, would he?
