Chapter 377: This Relationship Is a Bit Complicated

The hotel was locked down like a fortress, but John was still uneasy.

Sandra was a real troublemaker, like an indestructible cockroach. She used to just be a nuisance, but now she had completely enraged John.

Any past connections didn't matter anymore. No, he and Sandra were never closed, at most they were just acquaintances.

Now, Sandra was simply the enemy who had killed his mother.

He needed to catch Sandra while also keeping Aurora and his family safe.

If Sandra came, she definitely wouldn't come alone.

No one was stupid.

John's biggest worry now was that Sandra would take desperate measures and do something extreme, like a mutual destruction.

Sandra and Jennifer were somewhat alike; both were people with backbone.

For others, that might be a compliment, but for these two sisters, it was definitely an insult.

Jennifer went to the extreme of committing suicide. If Sandra went to the extreme...

A car horn sounded.

John looked up; it was Alexander.

Alexander was Aurora's biological father and should be here.

"John, you look really sharp today. My daughter has great taste. Let's have a few drinks later, no leaving until we're drunk," Alexander said, echoing Dean's earlier words.

Allan looked at John, two fathers-in-law?

John quietly explained, "My wife's biological dad."

So this was the biological dad, which made Dean the adoptive father.

The world only knew that Aurora had a father named Dean; no one knew she had a biological father named Alexander.

When Alexander was arrested back then, Allan wasn't in charge of the case.

Today's main task was to catch Sandra, so Allan didn't ask much about other people's family matters.

John saw there were more people in the car. He hadn't met them, but he could guess right away.

It was Aurora's biological mother, Wendy.

Wendy and Aurora looked quite alike.

John didn't recognize the person next to Wendy.

Since they came with Wendy and Alexander, John naturally wouldn't stop them.

"Dad, Mom, please come in."

Meeting Wendy for the first time, John had to make a good impression.

John was a talented and outstanding man, both in terms of his background and his abilities.

Even before knowing that Aurora had married John, Wendy had heard about him.

Wendy was very satisfied with her son-in-law.

With both the biological and adoptive fathers here, how could Kevin and Ashley not come?

Just as John led Alexander and the others into the hall, Kevin and his wife arrived.

Now, three fathers and two mothers were all here.

Aurora, wearing her wedding dress, was resting in the room and talking to John through an earpiece. She just found out that Wendy and Alexander had arrived, and so had Dean.

Aurora thought this was bad.

"Oh no."

"Aurora, what's wrong?" Lori asked, fully alert. "Did Sandra show up?"

"No, my mom showed up," Aurora said. "Dean doesn't even know my mom is alive. If they meet, he might think he's seeing a ghost."

As it turned out, Aurora's worry was justified.

After meeting Lloyd, Dean realized that most of the guests today were not from his circle, and he didn't know them or have much to talk about. He was thinking of finding John when he walked out of the wedding hall and bumped into Wendy.

A person who had been dead for over ten years suddenly appeared, looking almost the same as before, and was instantly recognizable. One could imagine Dean's reaction upon seeing Wendy.

Dean was stunned for two seconds, rubbed his eyes, and muttered to himself, "I must be seeing things."

Alexander said, "You're not seeing things. This is your wife who died over ten years ago, my first love, and my daughter's mother."

Everyone was stunned.

This situation definitely needed some sorting out.
