Chapter 23 Arrogant Cleverness to Severing Ties
Ashley also said, "It's just the White family, a powerless family. How dare they bully my son? They've got a death wish. Kevin, I don't care. If you won't seek justice for our son, then I will."
At that moment, Kevin's secretary walked over. "Mr. Robinson, Mr. Lewis' secretary is here."
Hearing this, Kevin turned bewildered, immediately thinking of the incident where Leo was beaten.

"In the lobby."

Kevin wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and sat down on a nearby chair.
Ashley came over angrily. "Why are you still sitting here? Go get justice for our son. Our son broke two ribs. I want that bitch from the White family to break both her legs, and find that man who beat my son and break his legs, too."
"What's the point of looking? They've already come to us," Kevin said with a bitter face. "Look at the son you raised. Why did he have to go and provoke The White family?"
"Kevin, what do you mean? Our son was beaten, and so what if it's the White family? Why should we fear the White family?" Ashley was displeased. Ashley couldn't think that far.

The news of Aurora offending the Robinson family quickly reached Dean's ears.
Dean turned pale with fear.His legs went weak, and he collapsed onto the sofa.

Emily helped Nicole up and was shocked to see her battered face.
Emily was asking the obvious.
She knew the scandal had been exposed.
Nicole's affair had been caught, but Emily didn't expect it to be this severe. Dean, who usually listened to Nicole, had beaten her this badly.
Family scandals shouldn't be aired, but behind closed doors, who would know?
Seeing Emily, Nicole clung to her and cried, "Emily, I can't live anymore. Aurora set me up, and your dad wants to kill me."
"Mom, don't cry," Emily comforted Nicole and then looked at Dean. "Dad, I heard about what happened tonight. It must be Aurora framing Mom. You have to listen to Mom's explanation. Mom told me before that the company was in trouble, and she went to Uncle Harris to seek investment. You misunderstood."
Things hadn't reached the final stage yet, and Emily wasn't foolish enough to completely sever ties with the White family. She didn't care about being the White family's heiress; she wanted to be the Harris family's daughter.
