Chapter 364: Aurora Seeks Help from John

Aurora deliberately scared Calla, and Calla was genuinely frightened, wailing, "Why am I so unlucky? I'm innocent. I'm just trying to help you, please don't repay kindness with enmity. Please don't kill me."

"As long as you catch up with the car in front and don't let him notice us, I won't do anything to you," Aurora was only concerned about where Sandra was.

The car had already left the city and was heading further out.

The more remote the place, the harder it was to follow without being noticed. If they were discovered, all efforts would be in vain.

Aurora glanced outside; the area was full of abandoned factories, which really suited Sandra's character for hiding.

"Stop following, pull over," Aurora ordered as she saw Wade turn into a small road, deciding not to let Calla continue the chase.

Calla hit the brakes, "Why aren't we following anymore?"

"If we keep following, we'll be discovered," Aurora replied, "Get out of the car."

"Why?" Calla was confused and scared, "You're not going to kill me or something, are you?"

This desolate place was perfect for killing and disposing of a body.

"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. Get out," Aurora was preventing Calla from driving away when she got out.

Calla obediently got out of the car, and only then did Aurora get out, "Give me the car keys."

Aurora's commanding presence made Calla hand over the keys without hesitation

Aurora took the keys and added, "And your phone."

Reluctantly, Calla handed over her phone, "You're so beautiful, you don't look like a heinous criminal. You really won't kill me, right? I'm still so young, haven't even had a boyfriend yet, it would be such a waste to die."

Aurora smirked, "Stop flattering me, I know I'm beautiful."

Calla was stunned.

Calla carefully observed Aurora and found that she was indeed beautiful from every angle. Maybe because of her beauty, Calla felt less scared.

"Did you really kill someone?"

"You saw the wanted poster."

Calla shook her head, "I don't believe it. How could such a beautiful woman kill someone?"

Aurora chuckled, "Stop flattering me. I really didn't kill anyone, but it's complicated. You wouldn't understand. Rest assured, I won't hurt you."

With that, Aurora started making a call using Calla's phone.

She called John, having a rough idea that Sandra was in this direction. It was time to inform him.

At this critical moment, John's phone kept ringing with no answer.

The Lewis Villa.

Helen's portrait was placed in the hall, and the villa was solemn and mournful. Loren and Summer sat in front of the portrait, silently crying, while Lloyd sat nearby, wiping his tears with a face full of sorrow.

The Lewis family relatives expressed their condolences and comfort, but few were truly sad.

Lucas walked up to the portrait and bowed deeply. Helen had been very kind to Lucas during her life. Her tragic death made Lucas's eyes red with genuine grief.

After paying his respects, Rex quietly stood among the crowd. Thinking about Wade hiding Aurora at home made him feel uneasy.

At this moment, Joseph voiced indignantly, "Helen treated Aurora so well, like her own daughter, personally preparing the wedding for them. Aurora actually did this to Helen, it's truly hateful."

The Lewis family relatives immediately chimed in.

"John, your mother died tragically, you can't let Aurora get away with this."

"Yes, catch her and avenge Helen."

Those speaking were all John's uncles.

John remained silent, his face stern. Todd glanced at John; the more silent John was, the more intimidating his expression became.

Summer couldn't help but defend Aurora, "My mommy wouldn't kill grandma!"

"Yes, mommy is innocent," Loren added.

The two children had absolute trust in Aurora.

John coldly ordered, "Todd, take Summer and Loren back to their room."

"Got it," Todd walked up to the kids, winking and hinting, "Come on, let's go upstairs."

Summer and Loren didn't want to stay either; these people didn't believe in Aurora and wished for her death.

In the room, Summer's face was serious, "Todd, what does my daddy mean? Does he not believe in mommy either?"

Loren angrily said with hands on hips, "If daddy doesn't believe in mommy, we'll run away from home."

"Don't worry, your dad would doubt himself before he doubts your mom," Todd replied, "Just stay at home and don't make him worry."

Summer sighed in relief, speaking like an adult, "Todd, just don't burden my dad."

Todd was speechless.

"You guys are so ungrateful. I've been worrying and working hard, and you say this about me," Todd clutched his chest, pretending to be heartbroken, "It hurts so much, can't you hear my heart breaking?"

"Childish!"

"Boring!"

The two brothers had no interest in watching Todd's performance.

In the hall.

The Lewis family relatives were getting more and more excited, each wishing for Aurora's death.

John's eyes darkened, and he shouted, "Get out, all of you."

The angrier John got, the more it seemed to outsiders that he hated Aurora, and was too grief-stricken, which was why he shouted at them.

The Lewis family relatives looked at John with sympathy and then left one by one.

Rex was about to leave with everyone when John called out. "Rex."

John's voice was cold, and being called from behind made Rex feel like he was being strangled.

"John." Rex stuttered.

John, having lost his mother and with wife was missing, was full of murderous intent, his eyes terrifying.

"Where's Wade?" John hadn't seen Wade.

"Wade, I don't know where he went," Rex played dumb, "The bakery has been busy, maybe he went to get supplies. I'm so sorry for your loss, John."

John stared at Rex for a few seconds before turning to Sam, "Sam, make sure Rex gets home safely.."

"Yes, Mr. Lewis," Sam stepped forward.

Rex panicked; if he went back with them, they would find out Aurora was hiding at home.

"No need," Rex refused firmly, reacting strongly. Realizing his overreaction, he added, "John, I'll just take a cab home, no need to trouble you."

With that, Rex quickly walked out.

John's eyes narrowed deeply, and he ordered to Sam, "Follow him."

"Yes," Sam immediately followed.

With the irrelevant people gone, The Lewis Villa quieted down. John walked up to Lloyd, "Grandpa, you should go rest in your room."

Lloyd was old, and John worried about his health.

Lloyd wanted to say something, opened his mouth, but finally sighed and said nothing, leaning on his cane as he went to his room.

The hall was empty. John walked up to the portrait, touched the photo, and vowed, "Mom, I will find the person who killed you."

After mourning in front of Helen's portrait for a while, John returned to his room and found his phone ringing.

Aurora had called several times with no answer. She was about to hang up when the call suddenly connected, and John's deep, hoarse voice came through, "Aurora, is that you?"
