"Jack?"
Aurora's brother, it could only be Jack!
Aurora asked the servant to take care of the kids and hurried downstairs.
In the hall, a ray of sunset light shone in, spreading on the floor, sparkling, particularly beautiful, and particularly unreal.
Everything felt like a dream.
Just like Jack sitting on the living room sofa, Aurora also felt it was unreal.
"Jack?" Aurora called softly.
Previously, John didn't bring Jack back from Lumoria, and even Lori couldn't find him. After Richard was captured, Jack completely disappeared.
Jack's sudden return was a huge surprise for Aurora.
Jack looked up, smiled, and called out, "Aurora."
This scene was very much like when Jack used to act spoiled as a child, but it was also different.
Jack was no longer a child; he was already an adult. The once arrogant light in Jack's eyes was gone. After everything he'd been through, he was no longer the spirited and rebellious youth.
Aurora was stunned for a few seconds before reacting, smiling and saying, "It's good that you're back. Let me take a good look at you."
Fortunately, after Richard escaped from prison and took Jack, he didn't involve Jack in any criminal activities.
Jack still had a chance to turn his life around.
Jack smiled sheepishly, "Aurora, I'm doing well! I'm sorry I made you worry before."
"It's okay, as long as you back safe, I'm happy." Aurora patted Jack's arm, "You're quite strong, that's good. The person who tipped me off before, that was you, wasn't it?"
"Yes!" Jack said, "Richard was watching me closely, it was hard to get away. I could only warn you in that way. Aurora, I didn't side with Richard, it was all to deceive him because I knew he had a stash of goods. If those goods hit the market, countless families would be harmed. I stayed by his side to find out the whereabouts of those goods, but unfortunately, I still couldn't find them."
"Good job, I knew you wouldn't lose your sense of right and wrong." Aurora was very pleased, "But don't do that again, it's too dangerous. I've been very worried about you during this time."
"I'm sorry, Aurora." Jack said guiltily, "I won't do it again. I heard you got accused of murderer, what's going on?"
"It was all Sandra's framing."
Aurora pulled Jack to sit down and briefly explained the situation, "As long as we catch Sandra, I can avenge Helen, and my suspicion will be cleared."
"Sandra is cunning and ruthless. Oren bullied her, and she poured boiling water on him. Now she's killed someone. Aurora, I'm worried she'll come after you again."
"I'm more afraid she won't show up." Aurora sneered, "If she dares to come, John and I will make sure she doesn't leave."
Jack asked eagerly, "Aurora, do you have a plan?"
"John and I do have a plan..." Aurora stopped halfway and said, "Jack, don't worry about these things. I'll handle it. Now that you're back, I can relax. Stay here from now on, don't wander off anymore."
"Okay!" Jack smiled, "Aurora, you're my only family, I'll have to rely on you from now on."
"Jack, you and Lori..."
"Aurora, I know." Jack interrupted Aurora, "But in my heart, you're my sister."
Jack and Lori didn't have any feelings for each other. Suddenly recognizing each other was indeed abrupt.
"Jack, you actually have another family member." Aurora uttered, "My mom is still alive."
"Mom is still alive?"
Jack was shocked. Wendy had brought him to The White Villa. Even though he knew he wasn't her biological child, Jack always considered Wendy his mother in his heart.
"Yes, she's still alive." Aurora squeezed Jack's arm, "When we have time, I'll take you to see her. She should still be in Silvercrest City."
Alexander had already met Wendy, so Wendy should be in Silvercrest City.
Lloyd suddenly came downstairs, "Aurora, how are the preparations for your wedding with John? The wedding is next Saturday, right?"
"Grandpa, John is preparing it." Aurora repleid, "The wedding is next Saturday, the invitations have already been sent out."
Aurora and John didn't tell Lloyd about the fake wedding; they didn't want him to worry.
Jack listened on the side, his expression complex, and asked, "Aurora, are you and John getting married?"
