Chapter 111 The Secret is Out

They were playfully teasing and giggling on the bed when they suddenly quieted down.

John looked deeply at Aurora beneath him, brushed her hair aside, and his eyes moved from her eyes to her nose, and finally to her lips.

Her lips were like blooming roses, waiting to be kissed.

John swallowed involuntarily, and Aurora found it incredibly sexy.

Her eyes were fixed on John's Adam's apple, and she couldn't help but touch it.

"Your Adam's apple is so pretty."

Feeling her touch, John grabbed her hand and said passionately, "Aurora, I want you."

"Huh?" Aurora was momentarily stunned, her face flushed. She covered her face but peeked through her fingers.

When she was shy, she was irresistible. John's hand slid down from her chest, and he began to unbutton his pants...

Even though it wasn't their first time, Aurora was still nervous.

"Boss Lewis, Aunt Aurora."

Summer's childish voice came from the doorway, and the door opened.

John and Aurora sprang apart. Aurora quickly tidied her clothes and sat up, while John swiftly returned to his wheelchair, as if nothing had happened.

Summer came in and looked at them.

Being just a child, Summer couldn't tell what had just happened.

He didn't feel the awkwardness and curiously asked, "Boss Lewis, Aunt Aurora, why do you look nervous? Why didn't you close the door? I just turned the knob and came in. Boss Lewis, if it were someone else, your secret would be exposed."

Summer sternly scolded John.

There was a saying, "If you don't feel embarrassed, then the embarrassment is on others."

John and Aurora both felt uneasy. John clenched his fist and pretended to cough.

They had indeed been careless.

Aurora's cheeks were burning, and she awkwardly smiled. "Summer, have you eaten?"

"Yes, I have." Summer looked at John, her little face serious. "Boss Lewis, are you feeling better? Wade said he would call a doctor for you, and they should be here soon."

John had anticipated Wade's actions and said, "Summer, you should go to Todd's place tonight."

Summer said softly, "Boss Lewis, are you sure you want to send me there?"

John thought about how Todd had been taking advantage of Summer during dinner. If the two were left together, Todd would definitely be in trouble.

John smiled meaningfully. "Todd will have to pay a price for taking advantage of you."

A mischievous glint flashed in Summer's eyes. "Boss Lewis, I know what to do."

Aurora looked at them and suddenly felt a bit sorry for Todd. This was the consequence of being too cocky.

John put his scarred mask back on, lay down on the bed, and quickly got into character, looking so weak he seemed on the verge of death.

Aurora gave a thumbs up. "Impressive acting skills."

Was she deceived by John's acting before?

"Aunt Aurora, can you walk me downstairs?" Summer looked up at Aurora.

Summer rarely took the initiative to get close to someone, but with Aurora, he couldn't help it.

"Sure." Aurora was happy to oblige; she also liked Summer very much.

John said gloomily, "I'm a patient now."

The implication was that someone should stay to take care of him.

Aurora glanced at him. "So you should lie down and wait for Wade to bring the doctor. I'll walk Summer downstairs first."

Summer teased, "Boss Lewis, I'm just borrowing Aunt Aurora for a few minutes. Don't be so stingy."

John became even gloomier. "I'm starting to regret letting you leave the island."

Summer replied, "A man of his word."

Aurora laughed and took Summer's hand to walk out.

When Aurora held his hand, Summer was momentarily stunned.

'Aunt Aurora's hand is so warm.'

Summer had asked Aurora to walk him downstairs just to play a small prank on John, knowing John had said he was Todd's godson.

Everyone knew Aurora was John's weak spot.

This made John very unhappy.

As they walked out, Summer withdrew his hand. Aurora was puzzled. "What's wrong?"

Summer felt a bit uncomfortable, and when Aurora asked, his face turned red.

"Going down the stairs, it's not safe," Summer replied.

Aurora was surprised to see Summer's face turn red.

Summer usually looked cool and unapproachable, so seeing him shy was a surprise.

She glanced at the stairs and asked with a smile, "Summer, I heard you're very great, breaking the records John set. Did you start training young? Do you find it hard?"

"Hard?" Summer shook his head. "I want to be better than Boss Lewis, to surpass him. I don't find it hard."

Aurora patted Summer on the head. "Kids shouldn't be too competitive, or you won't be happy. Besides, you're already amazing. You're the best kid I've ever seen."

Summer looked up at Aurora's hand and her smile. He thought her smile was like a mother's.

He was an orphan without a mother, and Aurora could never be his mother.

Summer lowered his eyes, put his hands in his pockets, and walked downstairs.

"Summer." Aurora felt puzzled, not knowing why Summer suddenly walked away.

Summer greeted Lloyd and Helen, then looked at Todd and reluctantly said, "Godfather, let's go."

The word "Godfather" made Todd overjoyed, and he followed Summer happily.

"Mr. Lloyd Lewis, Mrs. Helen Lewis, I'm leaving now. Summer needs to sleep early to grow."

"Okay." Helen reluctantly watched Summer and Todd leave.

After they left, Aurora went upstairs, and Helen returned to her room, rummaging through her things.

After a long search, she found a photo of John as a child. As she saw the photo and recalled Summer's appearance, her expression changed.

Helen muttered, "How can they look so alike?"

John had been lying in his room for about half an hour when the doctor Wade had called arrived.

A tall, thin middle-aged man named Carl Patel, with a goatee, wearing a green robe, and carrying a medical kit.

He looked somewhat like a reclusive hermit.

The entire Lewis Family went to John's room. Helen asked, "Dr. Patel, are you sure you can handle this? If you make my son worse, even ten lives wouldn't be enough to compensate."

Helen's words were meant for Wade. She knew John wasn't sick, and Wade calling a doctor was likely to test the truth of John's illness.

John leaned against the headboard, occasionally coughing, pretending to be weak.

Wade said, "Aunt Helen, Dr. Patel is highly skilled in traditional medicine. There's no need to worry. Do you think I would harm John?"

"That's not certain." Helen spoke her mind, giving Wade no face.

Wade looked a bit embarrassed, and Lloyd sat silently.

Lucas hinted, "Aunt, let Dr. Patel examine John. It will also put Wade at ease."

Carl looked at Wade, who signaled him to continue.

"Mr. Lewis, please take off your shirt. I need to check your heartbeat."

John complied and took off his shirt, while Aurora glanced at John, feeling anxious.

If he was not sick, it would be known just by listening to his heartbeat.

Did Gary's medicine really work?

Carl listened to John's heartbeat, and the room was very quiet, with everyone staring at Carl.

Suddenly, Carl's face changed drastically, and he quickly removed his hand from John's chest.

Wade couldn't wait and asked, "Dr. Patel, how is he?"
