Chapter 160 How Dare You

Aurora didn't want to die, but she was completely out of strength.

Aurora felt a pang of regret; she hadn't even heard Summer and Loren call her "Mommy" seriously yet.

The knife fell, and just as it was about an inch from Aurora's chest, she heard a clash.

The knife in the woman's hand was knocked away, and a golden needle with a cold, eerie glow collided with it, creating a spark. Both the needle and the knife flew past Aurora's face.

If it hadn't hit the mark, Aurora's face would have been slashed.

Aurora turned her head to see who had thrown the golden needle to save her and saw a stunning woman in her twenties, dressed in red, with a devilish figure and face.

"How dare you!" The woman in red put her hands on her hips and roared angrily, lifting Aurora with one hand.

Aurora felt helpless.

Aurora didn't recognize the woman in red. Her waist hurt so much she couldn't move, but from the woman's tone just now, it seemed she knew Aurora.

A friend, not a foe, that was enough.

Aurora asked, "Have you been watching the show all this time?"

Otherwise, how could she just appear out of thin air?

"I've been here for a while." The woman in red smiled sheepishly. "I saw you guys fighting intensely and got so excited watching that I couldn't bear to interrupt."

Aurora was speechless.

"We're fighting for real, not just fooling around, and you already knew it!"

Aurora was in a life-and-death struggle just now!

"You're so funny, you definitely misunderstood." The woman in red said seriously.

No matter how Aurora looked at her, she seemed insincere.

"If you had acted a bit later or missed, you would have sent me straight to heaven."

"I timed it perfectly, I never miss." The woman in red said confidently. "I, Lori Hernandez, never miss my mark."

Aurora didn't know what to say.

Lori had timed her intervention just as Aurora was about to die.

Bowing gracefully, she uttered, "Anyway, thank you for saving my life."

Complaints were just complaints.

Aurora was clear about gratitude and grudges. If it weren't for Lori, she would be dead. She remembered the life-saving grace.

"No need to be polite between us." Lori said generously. "Aurora, you rest aside, leave this woman to me."

As Lori said, she turned around, and her aura changed. The light in her eyes grew colder. "Fox, did you ask me before hurting Aurora?"

"Lori, the Shadow of Darkness organization and your Wolfpack have always minded our own business. This is a personal grudge between me and Aurora. Don't get in my way."

The woman was indeed from the Shadow of Darkness organization, nicknamed Fox.

Hearing her words, Aurora quickly remembered that she had heard John mention thw Shadow of Darkness organization. It was a very mysterious group, and even the name sounded ominous. No one knew exactly what they did because they did everything.

However, the people who came out to do business for the Shadow of Darkness organization were always underlings, and no one knew who the boss behind the scenes was.

Aurora felt a chill of fear, thinking that she had just fought with someone from the organization and managed to survive. She was really lucky.

Of course, part of it was also because Fox had underestimated her.

Lori touched her nose and sneered, "You've hurt Aurora so badly, if you want me to let it go, fine, leave a hand behind."

"Then stop talking nonsense," Fox said.

Lori put away the golden needle, arrogant and confident. "I won't take advantage of you."

The two fought hand-to-hand.

Lori was really good at close combat, every move and style pressed Fox hard.

Fox was forced to retreat repeatedly, taking several kicks to the abdomen.

Lori said domineeringly, "You kicked Aurora once, I return three kicks, it's not too much."

Aurora was speechless.

Lori had been here all along, yet she said she just arrived.

Fox, humiliated and angry, clutched her stomach. "Lori, this is a personal grudge between me and Aurora. Don't meddle."

Lori nonchalantly said, "No matter what Aurora did, hurting her is not okay. Cut the crap and let's go again."

Lori's face darkened, and she threw a punch.

Knowing she wasn't Lori's match, Fox hurriedly dodged. When Lori struck again, a small dagger suddenly appeared in Fox's hand.

Aurora saw it and shouted, "Watch out for the knife in her hand!"

Fox stabbed at Lori, and Lori noticed it just as Aurora warned her.

"Damn, trying to play tricks on me." Lori got angry. She grabbed Fox's hand, and with a forceful twist, Fox screamed in pain, the knife in her hand dropping to the ground.

Lori grabbed her and slammed her to the ground several times like a sandbag, then kicked her away.

Aurora was stunned. What a powerful woman. As long as one was strong enough, no scheme or trick mattered.

Lori clapped her hands as if dusting off nonexistent dirt and sneered, "Get lost!"

Fox's face turned livid with anger. "Lori, we've got a score to settle."

After leaving those harsh words, Fox ran away faster than anything.

Lori couldn't be bothered to chase her and walked up to Aurora. "Do you need me to take you to the hospital?"

"No need, I'll be fine after a rest." Aurora rubbed her waist, feeling much better. She asked, "Who exactly are you?"

"Your mom and my mom are sisters, your mom is my aunt, so you're my cousin." Lori explained the relationship, feeling confident. "Nothing wrong, right?"

Aurora really knew nothing about relatives on her mother's side.

"I see." Aurora patted Lori's shoulder.

Having such a fierce cousin wasn't a bad deal.

Lori smiled, "I'll look out for you from now on."

Aurora asked, "Where did you learn that amazing skill just now?"

"When I was eight, my uncle sent me to the mountains to learn from a master there. Impressive, right?"

Using merely a needle to knock away a knife required a certain amount of strength, let alone precision.

"Impressive, you could definitely break a Guinness World Record." Aurora asked, "You're with Wolfpack, so you should know Jack."

Lori said, "You mean Jack Thomas, right? He's doing well. Uncle sent him for training. Aurora, you don't need to worry."

"Jack Thomas?" Aurora was puzzled.

"It's hard to explain quickly. Aurora, let me take you back first, and I'll explain slowly later."

This wasn't the place for a chat.

Aurora and Lori returned to the Robinson family's place. Seeing Kevin puzzled, Aurora said, "This is my cousin, Lori Hernandez."

Lori greeted enthusiastically, "Hello, everyone!"

When it didn't come to fighting, Lori was quite likable and friendly.

Ashley smiled, "I'll prepare a room. Ms. Hernandez can stay here tonight."

"Ashley, you're so kind." Lori said sweetly.

Aurora first took Lori to her room. Aurora had a large bruise on her waist.

Lori took out her usual ointment. "Apply some of this, it works really well."

Living a life of fighting, injuries were inevitable, so Lori always carried these medicines with her.

"Thanks."

As Aurora had finished applying the ointment, Loren heard she was back and came running.

"Aurora."

Loren didn't take the words from the birthday banquet seriously and didn't know he was really Aurora's son.

"Wow, where did this cute kid come from?" Lori couldn't help but want to pinch Loren's cheek.

Aurora said, "This is my son, Loren. I have an older son who isn't back yet. I'll introduce you to him later."

Lori was shocked, asking, "Aurora, your son is this big already? Who's the father?"

Aurora didn't answer Lori. She held Loren's hand and said, "Loren, I really am your mommy. When you and your brother were born, you were taken by bad people and placed in an orphanage. Mommy has been looking for you for a long time and only recently confirmed you are my son."

Seeing Loren's confused look, Aurora coughed lightly and said, "Anyway, I'm your mommy. From now on, call me mommy, not Aurora."

The reunion between Aurora and Loren wasn't filled with sadness or tearful hugs.

Everything felt natural.

Loren accepted it quickly and called out, "Mommy."

"Good boy." Aurora lovingly patted Loren's head, then suddenly remembered something and looked at Lori. "Who is that Fox? What's her deal?"
