Todd fell into deep thought for the first time.
John stood up and walked over, patting Todd on the shoulder, and said, "Lori is a good person, but her methods are somewhat unconventional. Daniel reached out and lifted Emily's chin. "You look beautiful today."
Emily was overjoyed inside but said, "Daniel, do you think I stand a chance of winning the heart of the AJ Group's president with my appearance today?"
"AJ Group?" Daniel frowned.
Emily smirked, showing she had gotten smarter. "I've heard that the president of AJ Group is a young and promising man who has quickly made a name for himself in the business world. Such a talented man, my dad would definitely want him as a son-in-law."
Percy indeed brought Emily with this intention.
"You're after the president of AJ Group?" Daniel's frown deepened. He realized Emily had played him.
"What else? That I came here for you?" Emily sneered. "It's just the Taylor family after all. Among the men pursuing me now, many have better family backgrounds than you. Why would I choose you?"
"Emily." Daniel grabbed Emily's waist, his tone turning colder, showing a bit of male dominance. "Do you think I don't know what you're like? Come to room 808 at the Skyview Haven Hotel tonight."
Emily knew exactly what Daniel meant. Despite all her efforts, she couldn't get Daniel to agree to remarry her; he only wanted her as a mistress.
After saying this, Daniel turned and walked towards the entrance of the party hall.

Aurora's appearance easily overshadowed Emily, making her look dull in comparison.

Daniel couldn't help but approach her, even changing the way he addressed her.
Aurora turned and saw Daniel, her expression immediately clouding with discontent. In hindsight, she should have informed John to refrain from sending an invitation to the Taylor family.
Aurora didn't even want to greet Daniel, this scumbag. She turned to leave, but Daniel quickly stepped in front of her.
"Aurora, why are you in such a hurry? You look stunning today," Daniel shamelessly repeated the words he had said to Emily.
Aurora replied coolly, "My looks are a gift from my parents; I'm naturally beautiful."
Daniel suddenly found Aurora's personality utterly captivating. "Aurora, the Lewis family has gone bankrupt. You're wasting yourself on that pauper John; he doesn't deserve you. If you agree, I'll marry you straight away."
These words reached Emily's ears as she came out of the restroom, making her furious.
She had gone to great lengths to mess around with Daniel, only to be offered the position of a mistress. Yet, as soon as Aurora appeared, Daniel promised to marry her.
Aurora scoffed, looking Daniel up and down. "Someone like you isn't even fit to carry my shoes."
"Aurora, why are you still so proud of?" Daniel said, embarrassed and angry. "Are you also after the president of AJ Group?"
Aurora's eyes narrowed. Someone was eyeing her husband?
Aurora said, "Yes, I'm in a hurry to meet the president of AJ Group, so I won't keep you company."
Aurora left these words and walked straight into the hall.
Aurora and John had come together, but John had gone to the parking lot to take a call, so Aurora arrived first.
As the hostess, Aurora had to be there even if John was busy.
