Chapter 362: Aurora Successfully Learns Jax's Whereabouts

Lori felt particularly surprised, and John, who was surveying the scene, immediately walked over.

Lori showed her phone to John: "John, look, Aurora left me a message half an hour ago. She said she's fine."

John knew Aurora's Twitter account. Seeing her message, he breathed a sigh of relief, but also felt a twinge of jealousy.

"Why did Aurora message you and not me?"

John was very displeased. In Aurora's eyes, he wasn't as important as Lori.

Lori laughed, feeling very proud: "To Aurora, I'm a very important person. Now you see how reliable I am."

Aurora chose to leave a message for Lori simply because she thought no one knew about Lori's Twitter, and with all the comments, her message wouldn't be noticed.

Aurora knew Lori well. Whenever she was being slandered, Lori would definitely stand up for her and fight back.

Lori was not one to swallow her anger.

Todd asked in confusion, "If Mrs. Lewis is fine, why doesn't she come back? And why doesn't she contact Mr. Lewis? It's very strange."

Ava replied "Aurora is wanted now. If she shows up, she'll be arrested. She's currently a suspect in Helen's murder."

Todd looked at John, "Do you think Mrs. Lewis is worried that you might believe she killed Auntie Helen and that's why she hasn't come to see you?"

"No, Aurora must know I wouldn't suspect her," John spoke confidently. "She must have another plan."

This was the tacit understanding between husband and wife.

Lori frowned, "Now we can't contact Aurora, Paul is dead, Jax is missing, and Sandra's still on the loose. We can't just sit and wait."

John stared at Aurora's message on the phone, pondered for a long time, "We certainly can't just wait. Aurora killed my mother, and she needs to be brought to justice. Everyone should know my determination to seek justice for my mother. Put out  a reward. Anyone who provides information about Aurora will get ten million dollars."

Lori was furious, "John, you just said you believed Aurora. How can you change your mind so quickly? Aurora wouldn't kill Helen for no reason."

Todd pulled Lori aside, "Use your head and think it through again."

Lori was stubborn, "What is there to think about? It's clear that the Lewis family is ungrateful. Aurora gave the Lewis family four sons, and now they don't believe her."

Todd, seeing Lori's stubbornness, felt deeply worried about the future relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

John didn't expect Lori to react so strongly. He explained with a stern face, "This is just for show. Since someone wants to see us turn against each other, we'll give them what they want."

"What?" Lori felt a bit embarrassed, "John, it's not my fault. You only told half the story."

"You didn't let me finish," John felt a headache coming on and walked away after saying this.

Aurora was so smart, how could she have such a foolish cousin?

Lori pouted, "People who think they're cultured always like to act deep and speak in riddles. So, it's my fault, huh?"

Ava interjected: "Lori, just now I said you two..."

Lori looked up at the sky and suddenly voiced, "It's getting dark, time for dinner. Ava, let's go eat. Since Aurora is fine, let's fill our stomachs first and then look for her."

That was a quick change of topic.

Saying this, Lori walked towards the car.

Ava looked at Lori walking away and then at Todd: "Great wisdom often appears foolish."

Having known Lori for so many years, she could immediately tell that there was something between Lori and Todd.

Todd smiled, "You guys go eat. I'll go find Mr. Lewis."

Lori's intelligence was hard to fathom. Sometimes she was incredibly smart and admirable, while other times she was incredibly foolish and maddening.

Todd couldn't help but wonder what Lori's intelligence was like when Allan confessed to her.

Todd found John, "Mr. Lewis, where are we headed?"

"Back to the Lewis Villa."

Helen's case wasn't closed, and the body was still at the police station. The Lewis Villa was just a temporary place for mourning.

"Mr. Lewis, aren't we going to look for Mrs. Lewis?" Todd worriedly asked, "Sandra is like a madwoman right now. If Mrs. Lewis falls into her hands, it would be disastrous."

John's eyes darkened, "Aurora definitely isn't in Sandra's hands. Otherwise, she wouldn't have had the chance to leave a message for Lori. Aurora can contact the outside world but can't come back, which means her movements are free."

"She didn't contact me because she's worried I might go looking for her and ruin her plan. There are only two reasons why Aurora wouldn't show up: either she has found Jax's whereabouts, or she knows who else was involved in killing my mother."

Todd was surprised, "Mr. Lewis, are these just your guesses? Mrs. Lewis didn't say anything. How do you know?"

John gave Todd a sidelong glance, "We're a couple. If a husband doesn't understand his own wife, he's not doing his job well."

Todd still didn't understand how two people could know each other so well, and this level of trust was something most people couldn't achieve.

"They say a woman's mind is hard to read. Mr. Lewis, it seems you have Mrs. Lewis all figured out."

John snorted disdainfully, "Men who say that have never taken the time to understand their own women. They have no right to say that."

Todd was stunned.

"I can't figure out Lori's mind. She's always so erratic, sometimes reliable, sometimes not. Mr. Lewis, not to brag, but if you had someone like Lori..."

Todd realized he had said too much and quickly shut his mouth.

Saying this in front of John was like admitting he considered Lori his own woman.

John looked at Todd, then after a moment, patted his shoulder sympathetically, "You have it tough."

This moved Todd to tears, and he leaned on John's shoulder, crying, "You really understand and care about me."

John shrugged his shoulder, "Don't get me wrong. I care most about my wife."

Todd straightened up, wiped his tears, and got back to business, "Mr. Lewis, you mentioned there are others involved in Auntie Helen's murder?"

"Sandra couldn't have orchestrated such a big scheme alone. If Aurora isn't in Sandra's hands, then whose hands is she in?" John looked at Todd, "It must be Sandra's accomplice, and this person must be someone familiar."

"Who could it be?" Todd couldn't figure it out. He didn't even know how John had analyzed the whole situation so clearly.

With his wife and son in trouble and his mother brutally murdered, any ordinary person would have their mind in a mess, but John remained clear-headed.

John fell into deep thought, "It's not certain yet."

As they spoke, the car arrived at the Lewis Villa.

John had the media spread the news of his fallout with Aurora, bribing a group of netizens to amplify the situation.

In just half an hour, everyone in Silvercrest City knew that the once doting husband John had turned against Aurora and was determined to capture her and avenge his mother.

The night grew deeper.

Aurora saw the online public opinion from Wade's phone and felt a surge of joy. It seemed her message had been seen by Lori and John.

Suppressing her inner joy, Aurora outwardly appeared heartbroken, "As expected, John hates me. He doesn't believe me and wants to kill me to avenge his mother."

Aurora cried hard, building up her emotions, and then "fainted" from crying.

"Aurora." Wade called out nervously. After confirming that Aurora had just fainted from crying, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Wade glanced at the negative comments about Aurora online and sneered, "So much for the love between you two. It shattered with just a light blow."

Wade covered Aurora with a blanket, and just then, his phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID and thinking Aurora had fainted, he didn't avoid her and answered the call directly, "Congratulations, you've achieved your goal. But let me advise you, take the child and leave quickly. If the police trace Paul back to you, even having the child won't save you."

Wade, engrossed in his call, didn't notice that Aurora's eyes were open.

Indeed, Wade knew the child's whereabouts and was involved in Helen's murder. Her judgment was correct.

Hearing Paul's name, Aurora was shocked.

She hadn't expected Paul to be involved as well.

Suppressing her shock, Aurora closed her eyes and continued to feign unconsciousness, eavesdropping on the phone conversation.
