Chapter 355: Aurora's in Trouble

After making love, the bar was filled with the sound of sobbing.

Lori sat on the couch, lit a cigarette, and took a skilled drag.

Don't men usually have a "post-coital cigarette"?

Lori had mastered this perfectly.

When Todd saw this, his sobbing grew louder.

"Shut up." Lori found it too noisy and shot a sharp glance over.

Todd clutched the hem of his shirt, sniffling like a bullied girl, looking pitiful.

No, he was indeed bullied.

"Lori, you shrew, you're too..." Todd couldn't finish his sentence, looking heartbroken, and bit his hand: "My thirty years of purity, ruined by you."

Lori was speechless.

She grabbed a tissue, wiped her mouth, looking like she had her fill, and walked over to Todd with a stern face, "Why are you crying? I never said I wouldn't take responsibility. Since you're mine now, I'll take care of you from now on."

"Just take care of me?" Todd covered his head with his shirt, crying even more sorrowfully, "You heartless woman, you ruined me, and you don't even give me an explanation. How can I face my parents? I have no face to live."

Lori was stunned. This scene usually appeared on TV, where a girl was violated and cried her heart out, wanting to die.

Todd, a grown man, had learned this act perfectly.

Looking at the relentless Todd, Lori felt a bit annoyed and a bit guilty. She pursed her lips, thinking about how to handle this.

Under the shirt, Todd peeked at Lori with the corner of his eye. Seeing no reaction from her, he wailed again, "I'm ruined now. What woman would want to marry me? I've let my parents down. The Smith family name will end with me. What did I do to deserve this?"

Lori dug at her ear, "Stop wailing. If you really can't find anyone to marry, I'll marry you."

Hearing this, Todd lifted the shirt off his head, and the action reminiscent of lifting a bridal veil.

Todd looked at Lori, "You want me to marry into your family?"

"What? Not willing?" Lori sneered, "It's already a big deal that I'm willing to marry you. If you don't agree, I can send you to meet your ancestors, so you won't be so sad."

Todd squinted his eyes, considering. After a few seconds, he got off the couch as if nothing had happened, "Marrying into your family is fine. When will you marry me?"

Lori felt something was off with Todd's quick agreement, but thinking about how she had indeed pounced on him, she couldn't just be a jerk and not take responsibility.

"Put your clothes on. We'll talk about marrying you another day. I need to find Aurora first."

"Lori, don't think about backing out." Todd suddenly grabbed Lori's hand, "If you don't keep your word, I'll tell everyone what you did to me today, let them see what a jerk you really are. Let's see how you can still hang around."

Lori gritted her teeth, "Todd, if you dare to spill, I'll tell everyone you like men."

As soon as the words left her mouth Lori slapped her forehead, "Oh right, don't you like men? How come you reacted just now?"

Todd's ears turned red instantly. Lori's words were too blunt.

"Can't I like both men and women?" Todd thought of Lori's boldness and the taste of their sex moment, and his blood boiled.

He was a normal man; how could he withstand such a test?

What surprised him even more was that it was Lori's first time.

Lori was always so bold, often saying the most flirtatious things. Todd had assumed she was an experienced player, so when he hit that unexpected barrier earlier, he was shocked.

But the shock quickly turned into exhilaration.

In Todd's mind, if he couldn't make a girl wear a wedding dress, he wouldn't make love with her.

He just never thought that gril would be Lori.

Lori gave Todd a thumbs up: "You're impressive, but maybe you should hit the gym more often."

Todd was stunned.

That last comment was definitely the biggest insult to a man.

Todd couldn't help but retort: "You were the one begging for mercy just now."

Lori was also stunned.

Lori silently turned her head and left.

Todd took one last look at the red stain on the couch, looking satisfied, and followed Lori out.

The rain was still falling.

The bar entrance was desolate, and Lori couldn't reach Aurora.

Aurora had been tailing Sandra's car for a short distance when Sandra's car stopped, and a woman got out, heading straight for the bridge.

Aurora hadn't paid much attention to her at first, but then a flash of lightning illuminated the scene, and the woman turned to look in Aurora's direction. Aurora's heart skipped a beat as she saw the woman's face clearly.

It was identical to her own.

The woman turned again and continued walking towards the bridge. Aurora looked at the bridge and saw someone standing there, but she couldn't make out who it was.

Helen had been standing in the rain for a long time. Without the other person's instructions, she didn't dare to leave, and she wasn't willing to leave without seeing the child.

At this moment, Helen saw someone walking towards the bridge. As the person got closer, she was surprised: "Aurora, why are you here?"

"Mom, you lost the child. Do you know how much pain I'm in?"

"I'm sorry, Aurora. I'm devastated that Jax is missing too."

"You're sad? Then why don't you die? Words mean nothing. Just die."

"Aurora..." Helen was frightened by the Aurora in front of her. She had just called out when suddenly, a sharp pain hit her abdomen, a knife driven deep into her body.

Helen stared at the Aurora before her in disbelief, slowly sinking to the ground in agony, "Aurora..."

Another stab to her abdomen, blood gushed out, staining the ground red. Helen clutched the attacker's arm, her eyes still filled with shock.

Helen couldn't speak anymore, and at this moment, she suddenly saw another Aurora standing at the other end of the bridge, her eyes filled with terror.

The one who killed Helen was someone arranged by Sandra.

Aurora sensed something was wrong and ran over, but she was too late. She watched in horror as Helen fell.

"Mom!"

Aurora was about to rush over when a blow to the back of her head sent her plunging into the water, completely unconscious.

Helen twitched twice on the ground, her eyes wide open, and then she lay still.

The woman who killed Helen checked her breath to make sure she was dead, then walked off the bridge.

Todd and Lori arrived just in time. Lori saw someone and shouted: "Aurora."

The person heard Lori's voice and quickly jumped into the river, disappearing into the night.

Lori was stunned for a moment, and Todd saw Helen on the bridge and was shocked: "Auntie Helen."
