Chapter 22 Getting Involved with The Robinson Family
The people around were so frightened that they took a step back. One young man quickly went up to help, "Mr. Robinson."
Aurora was also scared, "John."
The kick was too heavy; Leo felt like his ribs were broken, and his face turned pale.
This time, Leo couldn't get up and had to rely on the young man to support him.
The young man angrily said, "Do you know who you just kicked? This is the eldest son of the Robinson family. If something happens, can you take responsibility? How many lives do you have to compensate for this?"
John didn't even look at the young man and sternly warned Leo, "If you harass Aurora again, Kevin Robinson will be collecting your corpse."
Kevin Robinson was Leo's father.
Not many dare to call him out by name.
The Robinson family had a certain social status in Silvercrest City. Kevin liked to do good deeds to build a good reputation, so even ordinary people were familiar with his name.
Hearing John mention Kevin's name, not many people found it strange.
But Aurora instinctively glanced at John.
John was extremely arrogant, even more so than Leo.
Leo met John's cold eyes and felt a chill in his heart. He was so scared that he subconsciously nodded and said with difficulty, "I was just messing around earlier. I won't dare next time."
Leo saw real killing intent in John's eyes, strong killing intent.
Leo believed he would actually do it.
He wasn't afraid of anything except his dad, but he found this man in front of him even scarier than his dad. He almost knelt down and called him dad.
John took Aurora's hand and said gently, "Let's go."
As soon as John left, the young man quickly took Leo to the hospital and called the Robinson family.
At the other end of the corridor, a middle-aged man was dumbfounded and hadn't recovered from the shock.
"Todd, who was that woman just now that made my nephew take action?"
The middle-aged man was John's uncle, Jerry Howard.
"Taking action is nothing. He even jumped into the ocean for Miss White before," Todd was no longer surprised.
Percy's son's leg was broken, and Leo getting kicked a couple of times was considered light.
'Mr. Robinson was really unlucky to have dared to mess with the boss's woman. Wasn't that courting death?' Todd thought.
Jerry was even more shocked, "Miss White? Which Miss White?"
"Which Miss White could it be? The one the boss broke off the engagement with before, the eldest daughter of the White family, Aurora," Todd said. "The boss is really caught up with this Miss White this time."
"Unbelievable, my nephew is in love?" Jerry clapped his hands and said happily, "I have to tell my sister quickly."
'It's not easy that John finally has a girlfriend. I can rest assured now,' he thought.
A row of luxury cars was parked in front of the restaurant, and a group of people stood respectfully beside the cars.
Sam, the leader, kept staring at the entrance, checking the time. Seeing no one come out, he took out his phone and made a call.
"Boss, we are already at the entrance."
John and Aurora hadn't come out yet. John walked a few steps away with his phone and coldly ordered, "Move further away. I have something important to do. You guys leave first."
"Yes." Although Sam was curious, he followed the order.
After hanging up, Tyler asked, "When is the boss coming out?"
"No need to wait. The boss told us to leave first."
At that moment, John and Aurora walked out. Sam immediately saw them and, seeing Miss White beside the boss, understood everything and wisely stayed put.
Tyler Young, who hadn't seen Aurora before, had just returned from a mission. Seeing the boss, he quickly walked over, "Boss."
"Come back quickly." Sam hurriedly pulled him back.
"What's wrong?" Tyler looked confused.
"Didn't you see Miss White next to the boss?" Sam had learned his lesson and didn't dare to offend Aurora now.
She was the boss's precious treasure.
"Who's Miss White?" Tyler was even more confused.
Sam coldly said, "If you want to stay in Silvercrest City for a few more days, just stand still and don't move."
Otherwise, if he interrupted the boss's good time, he might be sent away again just after returning.
The row of luxury cars at the entrance was quite eye-catching.
Aurora glanced at them and curiously said, "Wow, is there some big shot here? Why are there so many bodyguards and luxury cars?"
'This scene is quite similar to when Mr. Lewis visited the White family. Could Mr. Lewis be dining inside?' she wondered.
"I don't know," John said earnestly, holding Aurora's hand and hailing a cab by the roadside.
Aurora asked, "Didn't you drive today?"
"No," John replied with a warm smile. "The car broke down and was sent to the repair shop. We'll take a cab home today."
John hadn't expected to run into Aurora here, and he hadn't brought out his regular car. Naturally, he couldn't let Aurora know that the row of luxury cars and bodyguards were there for him.
At least, it wasn't the right time for Aurora to know his identity.
On the way back, Aurora was still a bit anxious thinking about what had just happened. She held John's hand and said, "Maybe you should leave Silvercrest City for a while to avoid trouble."
The only solution Aurora could think of was to leave Silvercrest City.
Before the Robinson family could cause trouble, it was better to escape first.
Seeing Aurora worried about him, John couldn't help but smile, "Don't worry, it's fine. The Robinson family is a big family; they aren't unreasonable. Leo started it, and we were just defending ourselves."
'But wasn't this defense a bit too much? His ribs were broken,' Aurora thought.
Seeing John unconcerned, Aurora became even more anxious. She thought John wasn't aware of how powerful the Robinson family was, so she didn't say much more.
This was her fault, and if necessary, she would go to the Robinson family to apologize, as long as they didn't trouble John.
"Your car is broken, so don't go out these days. Stay at my place for a few days," Aurora said, holding John's hand.
Aurora thought that as long as they avoided the limelight and the Robinson family couldn't find John, everything would be fine.
She couldn't care less about the fact that this was somewhat akin to "cohabitation."
John saw through Aurora's intentions and nodded with a warm smile, "Alright, I'll do as you say."
Hearing this, Aurora felt more at ease.
The cab arrived at the entrance of Aurora's apartment complex. After they got out, John said, "Aurora, you go upstairs first. I'll go buy a pack of cigarettes."
"Okay, I'll wait for you by the elevator," said Aurora.
John replied, "Alright."
After Aurora walked away, John took out his phone and made a call, his tone suddenly icy, "Do me a favor and pay a 'proper' visit to the Robinson family."
The word "proper" carried a chilling intent.
At the hospital.
Leo had just come out of the operating room. Kevin and his wife, Ashley Robinson, rushed over upon hearing that their son was in trouble.
Learning that their son had broken two ribs and suffered internal bleeding, Ashley was both heartbroken and furious, "Who did this? My poor baby, who dared to be so ruthless? Do they think the Robinson family is a pushover?"
The young man who brought Leo to the hospital said, "It was Aurora. Mr. Robinson saw Aurora in the evening and wanted her to have a drink with him. Out of nowhere, a man appeared to stand up for Aurora and beat up Mr. Robinson."
"Why is it Aurora again?" Kevin frowned, "Didn't I warn you not to mess with that woman anymore? Do my words go in one ear and out the other?"
"Your son is beaten up like this, and you don't feel sorry for him? How can you say such things?" Ashley cried, "Who does Aurora think she is? How dare she touch my son? I will get revenge."
"Mom, it hurts so much," Leo said weakly from the hospital bed, "I almost didn't get to see you again."
"My poor son," Ashley held Leo's hand and angrily said, "Don't worry, Mom will get justice for you. No one can touch my son and get away with it."
Leo, feeling he had found his backbone, ignored John's warning and wailed, "Mom, you must avenge me. Kill that woman Aurora. No, she's too beautiful to kill. Just kill the man with her and keep the beauty."
Kevin, being more cautious, asked, "What did the man who hit you look like? Who is he?"
"Just a bumpkin," Leo said painfully, clutching his chest, "Dad, you must avenge me. They want to wipe out the Robinson family. We can't just let this go."
