Chapter 198 The Difference in Strength is Too Great

Lori didn't call out Aurora again and just sat down with Ava and Aurora by the flower bed.

The three of them, chilling under the orange streetlights, made quite the picturesque scene.

Aurora rested her chin on her hands, watching the group of guys brawling in front of them. "Lori, why are they fighting so late at night?" she asked.

"See the guy leading on the left?" Lori pointed to a shirtless dude. "That's Robert Brooks. His dad was in the Wolfpack and died recently. Now, a lot of people want him as the vice-leader. He's good in a fight and super ambitious. He wants to take over from Uncle and lead the Wolfpack."

Aurora nodded. "A soldier who doesn't want to be a general isn't a good soldier. He's got ambition."

Lori was speechless. Aurora seemed to be mixing up friend and foe.

Ava pointed to a bald young man on the other side. "That guy is Christopher Radcliffe, Boss Lee's adopted son. He's really popular in the Wolfpack, with half the people backing him. If Boss Lee falls, he's the most likely to take over."

"So Uncle adopted an ungrateful guy, inviting trouble into his home," Aurora nodded. "Both of them are built and fight like beasts. Look at those muscles and abs, really eye-catching, really manly."

Lori was exasperated. "Aurora, that's not the point."

Aurora looked at them. "Such a good opportunity, isn't it a pity not to appreciate it?"

Ava chimed in, "There are plenty of guys like them in the Wolfpack."

"So many eligible bachelors," Aurora said, puzzled. "Why are you two still single? It doesn't make sense."

Lori quickly replied, "Men with simple minds and strong bodies aren't my type."

Aurora looked at Ava, who said, "I don't like them either."

"You two are really missing out," Aurora realized. "They have so many followers, and how many do we have?"

Lori glanced around. "Just us."

Aurora felt a bit helpless.

They had at least four or five hundred people, and it was just the three of them.

Aurora said, "Uncle is really down and out, not even having his own people."

"And me." Hank appeared out of nowhere. "Aurora, I'm on your side."

Before Aurora could speak, Lori retorted, "Uncle Bobcat, look at you. You can't even take one punch from Robert or Christopher. You're so old, you should go home and retire."

Hank said, "Lori, don't underestimate me. When I was in the Wolfpack, you were still a kid."

Aurora sighed, "Just stop. There are just the four of us, we can't afford internal strife."

Lori and Hank stopped arguing.

Ava asked, "Aurora, what do we do now? They might fight for at least an hour."

Aurora thought for a moment. "Are Robert and Christopher married?"

"No, why?" Lori suddenly had a bad feeling.

Sure enough, Aurora grinned slyly. "The best trap is a beauty. You two take one each, and won't they be subdued?"

Lori felt a bit helpless and laughed, "Aurora, you've got quite the imagination."

Ava asked, "What about you?"

Aurora said matter-of-factly, "I'm a pregnant woman. Do I have to step in? You two are enough." Her words left Lori and Ava speechless.

Ava glanced at Lori, "I think Aurora's plan is a bit shaky. Should we just bail?"

"I just got the title of Wolfpack leader. Let me enjoy it a bit before you start talking about defecting," Aurora joked.

Hank thought for a moment. "I actually think Aurora's plan could work."

Lori and Ava shot him a look and said in unison, "Then you go."

Hank stroked his nonexistent beard. "I'm an old man. No one's gonna be interested in me."

Lori rolled her eyes. "Uncle Bobcat, you're starting to sound more and more like Aurora."

A cold wind blew, and Aurora stood up. "Let's go. Sitting here in the cold isn't solving anything." They couldn't just sit there freezing.

Aurora led the way towards the fighting group, with Lori and Ava flanking her, and Hank trailing behind.

As they got closer, someone got kicked and almost crashed into Aurora. Lori quickly kicked him away like he was a sandbag.

Aurora shouted at the top of her lungs, "Stop!"

No one paid attention; they just kept fighting.

Aurora shouted again, "Stop!"

Still, no one listened.

"Uncle Bobcat," Aurora extended her hand.

Hank handed over a megaphone, and Lori was surprised. "You have this?"

Hank said, "I just grabbed it from the security room."

Aurora cleared her throat and spoke into the megaphone, "Brave gentlemen, stop and listen to me for a moment."

No response.

Aurora used her trump card. "I am the new leader of the Wolfpack, Aurora."

As soon as she said that, hundreds of heads turned to look at her.

The news of a new leader had spread, but no one had seen her or taken it seriously. When Aurora appeared, everyone's first thought was, 'How did Richard find such a pretty girl to lead the Wolfpack?'

To them, a pretty woman was just a good-looking waste.

Seeing everyone looking over, Aurora asked puzzledly, "You all want to be the leader, but you have to find the right person. Now that I'm the leader, why are you fighting among yourselves?"

Christopher stepped forward, looking Aurora up and down with disdain. "How could my godfather let a woman manage the Wolfpack? He must be out of his mind. What can a woman do?"

Aurora despised men who looked down on women. She retorted coldly, "What can a woman do? Well, for starters, a woman brought you into this world. Without women, would you pop out of a rock?"

Lori's eyes lit up. "Aurora, well said."

Christopher, humiliated and angry, pointed at Aurora. "Say that again if you dare."

Aurora sneered, "If you don't even know how you were born, you won't be able to hold the position of Wolfpack leader."

Christopher roared and pounded his chest like a gorilla. "If you have the guts, fight me one-on-one."

"Ridiculous. I'm the leader of the Wolfpack. Fighting you one-on-one would damage my reputation. People would say I'm bullying you." Aurora said, "If you want to fight me, beat my two bodyguards first."

As she said that, Aurora stepped back. "Lori, Ava, go ahead."

Lori and Ava couldn't help but think that Aurora was really unreliable. Despite their reluctance, Lori and Ava stepped forward.

Lori gave Christopher the middle finger. "Loser, come on, fight us if you dare."

Aurora gave a thumbs up, thinking how shameless they were, just like her. Others fought one-on-one, but these two fought two-on-one.
