Chapter 126 Going Around in Circles

Aurora handed Loren over to Todd, and the kid practically dragged Todd outside.

Todd chuckled. "What's the hurry? Got someone cuter than you to see?"

"Todd, who's Summer?" Loren dodged the question.

"He's my godson," Todd replied.

Since John mentioned it and Summer called him godfather, Todd just rolled with it.

Loren pouted. "Why'd my brother pick such a flaky godfather?"

"Loren, what did you say?" Todd asked.

"Nothing. Todd, step on it."

Loren was dying to see if it was really her brother.

"What's up with you today?" Todd laughed and hit the gas.

Aurora knocked on John's bedroom door and strolled in. Gary was about to leave. Seeing Aurora, he said to John, "I'm heading out. I'll keep tabs on what you mentioned."

"Okay," John replied softly.

Gary nodded at Aurora, and she smiled back.

After Gary left, Aurora walked over to John. "What were you two talking about? You looked serious."

"Wade's planning to strong-arm Grandpa into handing over his shares at his birthday bash." John patted the sofa next to him, signaling Aurora to sit. "Don't worry, I'll handle it. How's Loren?"

"Yesterday's mess still has Loren rattled. He just went to Meadow Brook with Todd," Aurora said. "Give him some time; he'll shake it off."

John caressed Aurora's face. "You love kids so much, why not take Loren as your godson?"

"Take Loren as a godson?" Aurora was surprised. "Loren doesn't have parents and might get left out. I'm worried about his mental health. But are you cool with making him a godson?"

John said, "Loren's a smart kid. If it makes you happy, I'm down."

Aurora bit her lip. "You don't plan to ship Loren off to the island for training, do you? I asked Summer before, and you guys are short on people. Summer got tricked into going there."

John smoothly replied, "It might be good for Loren. Aurora, I know you like Loren and want to keep him close, but we can't stop him from growing."

Aurora hesitated. "Let's talk about it later. I'll ask Loren. If he's up for it, cool. If not, we won't push it."

"Alright, whatever you say." John leaned in to kiss her.

Aurora, enjoying the moment, closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.

John's loose loungewear showed off his muscles, making her heart race.

Being around John had made Aurora more lustful. She always felt like overpowering him.

Thinking this, Aurora straddled John and slipped her hands under his shirt.

Aurora licked her lips while staring at John. "I haven't had breakfast yet."

She wanted to make love.

John, looking willing, lifted his shirt. "Go ahead."

Aurora laughed, lying on top of John, her chin on his chest. "John, with your help, I've become bad and willful."

In front of John, she acted like a kid, saying she'd tie up rich ladies or tear down a school.

For over twenty years, she had never been so recklessly indulgent. The feeling of defiance was exhilarating.

In the competitive Silver Crest City, she used to be looked down upon, struggling to make a living.

She said she wanted to fight alongside John, but deep down, she knew she couldn't keep up with him. John had always had her back, letting her be as wild as she wanted.

Meeting John had flipped her world upside down.

John's eyes were soft. "Your wild side is cute. I dig it."

He was all about spoiling Aurora. If tearing down a building made her happy, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Aurora placed her finger on John's lips. "The weather's perfect today. I checked the calendar; it's a prime day for some loving."

By the end, Aurora's face was already blushing.

John chuckled, flipping over to pin Aurora beneath him. "How can I let a lady do all the work? Just lie back and enjoy."

Aurora couldn't help but laugh. The blanket covered them, and soon, the room was filled with intimate sounds.

Meadow Brook Villa.

As soon as Todd parked the car, Loren bolted inside on his chubby little legs, bumping into Tyler, who was coming out.

"Ouch." Loren rubbed his forehead in pain.

Tyler, with his muscular build from years of training, was like a brick wall.

Tyler apologized, "Loren, you okay?"

Loren shook his head, and Todd walked over. "Loren, slow down. Don't wanna faceplant."

Seeing Todd, Tyler remembered something and said, "Mr. Smith, I still haven't found the guy you asked me to look for. You only said he's Summer's brother, but you don't know his name, looks, or height. It's like finding a needle in a haystack."

Hearing this, Loren got even more excited. 'Is it my brother? Is my brother also looking for me?'

"I don't know, either. If I did, I wouldn't need you to look," Todd said, "By the way, where's Summer?"

Tyler replied, "He just went on a mission with Sam."

As he heard this, Todd's face turned serious. "What mission did he go on?"

Summer hadn't taken on any missions yet. With Summer's skills, he wasn't ready for missions.

"Sam got word that the Wolfpack Organization would be at the dock at 3 PM today. Summer insisted on going, so Sam took him along," Tyler said, "It's just to gather info; it shouldn't be dangerous."

"Not dangerous? This is nuts," Todd said sternly, "Get him back right now. If the boss finds out, you two are getting shipped to Lumoria."

Loren, seeing Todd's strong reaction, didn't get everything but knew Summer might be in danger.

Brother was in danger.

"Todd, is my brother in danger? I need to find my brother," Loren urged, "Take me to my brother."

"Brother?" Todd and Tyler were both puzzled.

Loren looked up, his innocent face dead serious. "If I'm not mistaken, I'm the person you're looking for."

"The person we're looking for?" After Todd repeated, he exchanged a glance with Tyler, then looked down at Loren again.

Todd and Tyler were shocked, speaking in unison, "You're Summer's brother?"

Todd finally realized, exclaiming, "My God, after all this, it's you, little rascal."
