Chapter 264 Todd's Aesthetic Sense
This scene was a total shocker.
Daniel wished he could just vanish on the spot; it was beyond embarrassing.
Right at his wedding, his pants had split wide open.
This was going to blow up online, and it would haunt him forever.
Thinking fast, he jumped up, squeezed his legs together, and covered the rip with his hands.
The host, who had been through numerous weddings, was at a loss for words. This was a first.
Hearing the guests' laughter, Amelia's face turned beet red with embarrassment.
Aurora couldn't help but laugh out loud. Seeing her ex in such a mess was pure satisfaction.
Loren asked, "Mommy, are you happy?"
"Very happy," Aurora said, almost in tears from laughing.
A mischievous glint appeared in Loren's eyes. "Mommy, I can make you even happier."
"What do you mean?" Aurora didn't get it right away.
Just then, another disaster struck on stage.
As Amelia walked towards Daniel, the zipper on her wedding dress suddenly gave out. To everyone's shock, the dress fell, leaving her in just her underwear.
Amelia screamed and scrambled to pick up her dress.
Daniel tried to help, but as he moved, his pants ripped even more. He accidentally stepped on the dress's hem when Amelia tried to step off the stage in a panic, she tripped and fell right onto Daniel.
The wedding scene was pure chaos.
This highly anticipated wedding had tons of media coverage, and amidst the madness, cameras were flashing non-stop.
The terrified and panicked faces of Daniel and Amelia were all caught on camera.
The folks from The Smith Group covered their faces, wishing they could disappear.
The Taylor family wasn't any better off; everyone looked pissed.
What was supposed to be a beautiful wedding had turned into a complete joke.
Finally, the groomsmen and bridesmaids rushed Daniel and Amelia to a room to change clothes.
Aurora put two and two together and whispered to Summer and Loren, "Was this you two?"
Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that both Amelia and Daniel's outfits tore?
Loren said, "Mommy was in danger just now, all because of that Daniel. And last time, Amelia was rude to Mommy, so I taught them a lesson for you."
Summer nodded. "I stood guard while Loren did it."
They made a great team.
Aurora and John exchanged glances, feeling pretty shocked.
Loren suddenly acted all innocent, shyly saying, "Mommy, you won't be mad at me, right?"
John pulled Loren onto his lap and smiled, "Loren, well done."
If John weren't too old for such pranks, he would have done the same.
Aurora rolled her eyes at John and said, "Is this how you teach your son?" Then she pulled Summer close. "Sweetie, in the future, leave these issues to your daddy. Mommy believes in you. I want you to be a gentleman, not a rogue like your daddy or brother."
Aurora had experienced Loren's mischief firsthand. Summer, on the other hand, was showing signs of becoming a gentleman, and she didn't want him to be led astray.
Summer nodded. "I understand, Mommy."
Loren could only pout to show last bit of defiance. He nestled into John's arms, "Daddy, I'll stick with you from now on."
John cleared his throat. "Loren, you gotta understand my position in our family."
After all, he was at the bottom of the totem pole.
Aurora "lectured" her older son and then turned to her younger one, "Did you leave any evidence?"
Aurora felt that Loren's prankster habits needed some reigning in.
"Absolutely not," Loren said proudly. "I had Summer clear everyone out. No one saw a thing. Don't worry, Mommy."
"That's more like it," Aurora said. "Next time you pull something like this, bring me. How could you leave me out of all the fun?"
Hearing her words, John and Loren were pretty shocked.
Even Sophia in the backseat almost couldn't hold it together. Anyone who messed with them was in for trouble.
Loren immediately switched sides, throwing himself into Aurora's arms. "Mommy, next time I'll definitely bring you. And when my sister is born, we'll prank the bad guys together."
John quickly said, "Loren, don't corrupt your sister. I still hope her to be a talented, well-mannered lady, elegant like a princess."
Aurora also said, "Loren, you can keep messing with Summer."
Summer felt a bit helpless. Wasn't he supposed to be Mommy's hope?
Loren finally realized that Aurora and John had no expectations for him.
The wedding was paused for half an hour, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith invited the guests to enjoy the meal first.
Aurora was genuinely hungry. Since everyone began to eat, she didn't hold back either.
As she was eating, Lori came over.
Lori looked refreshed and directly grabbed a drumstick after sitting down. "This food is good."
Lori was clearly in a great mood.
Aurora asked curiously, "Did you get your revenge?"
Lori glanced at the entrance. "Very satisfying."
Aurora followed her glance and saw Todd come in with his head down and sit at the same table, keeping his head low.
John looked at Todd's face. "Why are you keeping your head down? Is there something on your face?"
Todd tried to hide it, but Loren squatted down to look and exclaimed, "Todd, what happened to your eye?"
Unable to hide it, Todd raised his head and revealed his swollen left eye. Aurora couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Lori and immediately understood. "Wasn't that a bit too much?"
Actually, this time was an accident.
Since Lori had failed to mess with Todd many times, this time, she was so angry that she directly threw a punch. Unexpectedly, Todd didn't dodge, and if she hadn't held back a bit, his eye would have been more than just swollen; it would have been ruined.
Todd touched his eye, which was a bit swollen and blurry. "This time we're even. If you cause trouble again, I won't hold back."
Lori took another bite of her chicken leg. "Who asked you to hold back? Not satisfied? Want me to make it symmetrical and swell your right eye too?"
Todd quickly covered his other eye. "How could a girl be so rough? No wonder you can't get married."
Putting aside Lori's appearance, she didn't meet any of Todd's standards.
He liked gentle and understanding women.
Lori, on the other hand, was like a cactus and was too tough with a tenacious spirit, not like a woman at all. She was also like a bomb, ready to explode at any moment, the type Todd disliked the most.
She had no femininity, unlike other women who could act coy.
Lori only knew how to fight. Even when in pain or injured, she wouldn't cry.
This type of woman was suitable as a partner or friend, but not as a wife.
