Chapter 129 Isn't This a Bit Too Much?
Nightfall hadn't caused a ruckus in forever, always keeping it chill, so no one had a clue who was running the show.
Everyone at the dock was totally lost.
What the heck was going on?
Pearl Harbor was a goldmine, with all sorts of crews fighting for control 'cause it was so damn profitable.
Seeing Nightfall's crew roll in, the small fries quickly got outta the way.
The big dogs sent their guys to snoop around but came up with zilch.
On a blue yacht, Richard listened to his crew report that a bunch of Nightfall members were out at sea, flaunting their marks on yachts, which blew his mind.
"They gunning for us?" an old dude asked, "Did someone snitch on our spot?"
"Let's check it out." Richard hit the deck, binoculars in hand, and saw yachts zooming towards them like white whales.
Richard was on high alert. "Everyone, stay sharp."
Whether Nightfall was after them or not, they had to be ready.
There were still loads of tourists at sea, with rich folks and their buddies having a blast.
Yachts sped by, splashing water everywhere. The rich were about to whine but were stunned by the sheer number of yachts flying by.
Each yacht made a splash, soaking the rich and their pals, but no one said a word.
John and Aurora also showed up at the dock. Jack had been nabbed by Wolfpack, and there was no news yet. Now hearing that Loren might also have been taken by the Wolfpack Organization, Aurora was even more freaked out.
Aurora met up with Sam and Tyler.
"What's the deal? Any news?" she asked.
Sam shook his head. "Not yet, Ms. White. Chill, the yacht that took Loren can't leave this area."
John said, "Let me see the computer."
Sam handed the computer to John. John quickly hacked into the surveillance system and soon spotted Loren.
"A chick took Loren?" John frowned. "Why would Wolfpack send a chick?"
John asked, "So it's not Wolfpack?"
Aurora looked at the computer. She recognized the woman in the footage.
When she saw the woman carrying Loren onto the yacht, she remembered. "It's Nicole. She took Loren."
Aurora had lived with Nicole long enough to recognize her by her silhouette alone.
"Nicole?"
The four of them exchanged looks. John said, "If it's Nicole, then it's easier to handle."
At least Loren was safe.
If it were really the Wolfpack Organization and Loren was taken out of the area, it would be a whole lot messier.
John immediately made a call, "Search all the yachts on the sea, don't miss a single one."
Todd and Summer also got the order. Hundreds of others on the sea started the search.
"Boss is here, finding Loren shouldn't be tough." Todd sighed in relief.
Summer scanned the sea and spotted a yacht just chilling on the water. "Todd, head over there."
On a white yacht.
Nicole sensed something was off and came out of the cabin, seeing a bunch of yachts suddenly popping up on the sea, making her nervous.
Nicole said, "Emily, check if something's up. Why are there so many yachts all of a sudden?"
Emily came out of the cabin and looked through binoculars. "It is kinda weird. Maybe some rich kids from Silver Crest City rented yachts to party. No need to freak out."
Rich kids often took hotties and celebs out to sea when they were bored.
Nicole didn't really care and asked, "Emily, now that we got the kid, what's the game plan? We can't just hang out here forever."
Loren was tied up and tossed into the cabin by Nicole and Emily.
Emily said, "Chill. I already told Ms. Johnson. We'll hand the kid over to her, and she'll handle it. We don't gotta do anything."
"Emily, are you using someone else to do the dirty work?" Nicole looked at Emily with a mix of fear and awe. Her daughter was becoming more terrifying by the day.
"Aurora's got the Lewis and Robinson families backing her. We can't go head-to-head, so we need someone who can. Aurora cares about this kid, so it'll definitely mess her up."
"Isn't it too harsh to mess with such a young kid? We got beef with Aurora, but this kid ain't hers. Even if something happens to the kid, how much will it really hurt Aurora?" Nicole glanced at the cabin.
Loren stared at Nicole with wide eyes, making her uneasy. She quickly looked away. "Emily, why don't we just let the kid go?"
"Mom, what's wrong with you? Are you gonna let Aurora keep walking all over me?" Emily was furious. "I wanna destroy everything Aurora cares about. Seeing her in pain makes me happy."
Nicole sighed. She also hated Aurora but always ended up losing to her. Now, she didn't dare to cross Aurora recklessly.
Emily stormed into the cabin and angrily kicked Loren. "Don't blame me. Blame Aurora. She's the one who got you into this."
Emily was also wearing a mask. She was super cautious now, no longer acting recklessly.
"Bad woman." Loren glared at Emily. "My sister will come to save me, and so will my brother. You better let me go, or my brother won't spare you."
"An orphan like you, where'd you get a brother and sister? You're quite the little trickster." Emily found Loren increasingly annoying, especially those eyes that looked too much like Aurora's, making her uncomfortable.
"If you keep staring at me, I'll gouge your eyes out." Emily threatened Loren fiercely.
"Bad woman, I'll keep staring at you, hmph." Loren glared at Emily.
"You little brat." Emily was furious and pinched Loren's face, but Loren bit her hand. "Ah, damn it."
Emily screamed and pushed Loren away. "I'll teach you a lesson."
Just as Emily was about to hit Loren, Nicole rushed in, panicked. "Emily, something's wrong. Todd is here, saying he wants to check the yacht. I think they're here for the kid. What should we do?"
"What?" Emily was shocked. She looked out the cabin window and saw not only Todd but also Aurora on the deck of a nearby yacht.
How did they get here so fast?
She couldn't let Aurora find her, or she'd end up in detention again. She didn't want to go back.
Hearing Todd was here, Loren shouted, "Todd, help! Todd, I'm here, mmph!"
Emily quickly covered Loren's mouth. "Don't shout, or I'll throw you overboard."
Loren's voice was still heard by Summer, who responded loudly, "Loren!"
It was Summer.
Hearing Summer's voice, Loren struggled to get out.
But his mouth was covered, and he could only make weak sounds.
Nicole was even more anxious. "What do we do? This counts as kidnapping. If we're caught, we'll definitely go to jail."
Emily was also scared. She saw Summer's yacht approaching and Aurora's yacht getting closer. She looked at Loren and had a murderous thought. "Then let's make sure they can't find the kid. Throw him overboard from the lower deck. If they can't find him, what can they do to us?"
