Chapter 209 Forced Marriage
Seeing Helen collapse, Jennifer's eyes flashed with panic, but she quickly pulled herself together. She checked Helen's breathing with her hand; it was steady. "Helen, I'll get a doctor for you right away..."
Jennifer put down the fire extinguisher and was about to call for a doctor. But she suddenly stopped after a few steps.
Helen had overheard something she shouldn't have. If John found out, there would be no chance for her and John. Thinking of this, Jennifer hesitated.
"No, I can't save you," Jennifer muttered to herself. At that moment, she saw Todd approaching. She turned around and bolted from the stairwell without hesitation.
Todd came with Gary. They first checked the ward but didn't find anyone, so they came out to look for Helen.
Todd, with his sharp eyes, saw Helen lying on the ground and quickly ran over. "Auntie Helen."
Todd helped her up and saw that Helen had a head injury, and the previously stitched wound was bleeding again. His expression became very serious. "Gary, hurry up," he urged.
Gary squatted down, opened Helen's eyelids with his hand, and checked her pupils. "Take her to the operating room right now."
The two quickly took her to the operating room, and all the hospital's neurology experts were called in to assist Gary in performing surgery on Helen.
Todd waited at the door of the operating room. At that moment, his phone rang. "Mr. Smith, Mr. Lewis has been captured."
After shaking off those troublemakers, Lori and Ava finally returned to the villa. Seeing a big hole in the house and John and Aurora missing, they knew the two had been captured.
Lori called Richard, "Uncle Richard, Aurora has been taken by The Shadow of Darkness organization."
Meanwhile, in a residential area, through a shaded path, John and Aurora were blindfolded and taken into a villa, where they were locked in a large iron cage.
After a while, John was taken away, leaving Aurora alone in the cage.
Aurora sat down and leaned against the cage calmly, neither making a fuss nor speaking.
Not long after John was taken away, she heard footsteps approaching. Someone soon stood behind her, and she was enveloped by a wave of perfume. "Sandra?"
"You really are smart." Sandra reached out and tore off the black cloth covering Aurora's eyes. "Seeing you locked in a big iron cage is really satisfying."
Aurora retorted, "Didn't Alexander invite us as guests? But why did he only take John away? What, does he look down on women?"
"In such a hurry to die?" Sandra sneered. "Don't worry, it will be your turn soon."
Aurora just stared at Sandra calmly without speaking.
Sandra felt uncomfortable being stared at and frowned. "Why are you staring at me? Why don't you say something?"
"Obviously, it's just the two of us here. If I don't stare at you, who should I stare at? Besides, you don't seem to like me talking. I'm afraid I'll annoy you later."
"You!" Sandra hated Aurora's indifferent attitude. "Aren't you afraid at all?"
Being captured yet still so arrogant.
Aurora shrugged. "What should I be afraid of? If you dared to kill me, you wouldn't have gone to the trouble of bringing me here."
Sandra said viciously, "Aurora, you think I really don't dare to do anything to you? Do you know how much I hate your face? I've wanted to tear it apart countless times."
Aurora laughed. Even though she was locked in a cage, she showed no fear. "I really love that look on your face when you can't stand me but can't do anything about it."
"Aurora, you bitch."
Sandra couldn't hold back her anger any longer. She opened the cage, stormed in, and slapped Aurora hard.
The slap was fierce, making Aurora's face burn and quickly turn red.
Aurora kept her cool and said, "See, I was right. If I talk too much, I'll annoy you, and I'll be the one to suffer."
In front of Sandra, she didn't show her anger. And the current situation didn't allow her to be arrogant. Recognizing the current situation was the mark of a smart person, and Aurora always understood this.
As long as she could stay alive and her baby was safe, what was a slap? She would make Sandra pay for this sooner or later.
"You took John from me. You deserve to die." Sandra got angry just looking at Aurora.
"Ms. Johnson, you really misunderstood me this time. John and I have broken up. You must know what your sister did to John. I'm always sensitive and have high standards. I, Aurora, won't want a man touched by someone else."
Aurora felt a bit helpless and added, "If you don't believe me, I can swear. If I'm lying, may I be hit by a car when I go out."
Aurora never believed in swearing. Cursing a few times wouldn't really curse someone to death.
Aurora looked so sincere that Sandra almost believed her. "You said you broke up with John, but why are you still together? Aurora, don't think you can fool me."
"Then, you should ask John. Anyway, I unilaterally broke up with him." Aurora said earnestly, "Actually, your biggest rival isn't me. You like John, and so does your sister. You can't expect John to marry you sisters together. Actually, I think you're quite foolish. You've done all the bad things, and in the end, it will only make John hate you, and Jennifer will benefit."
Aurora began to sow discord between Sandra and Jennifer. "Think about it. If you were John, would you have any good feelings after being kidnapped like this? Besides, your sister probably already knows your feelings. She's just using you to kill me so she can be with John."
Hearing Aurora's words, a strange expression flashed on Sandra's face. She snorted coldly, "Just a dying person, how could she possibly compete with me?"
Aurora's heart skipped a beat at this. Jennifer didn't have long to live? She recalled Jennifer fainting from anger before and remembered her heart surgery. Could Jennifer really be running out of time?
"Even so, you can't wait for your sister to die and then marry John, taking your sister's man. If this gets out, people will say you're your sister's substitute," said Aurora.
"I'm not a substitute." Sandra was agitated. "I'm better than Jennifer in every way. John will definitely like me. My dad promised me that if John doesn't marry me, he will never leave here."
It turned out that John had been kidnapped and forced into marriage.
Aurora wasn't angry at all. She even said with a hint of generosity, "Congratulations. In that case, there's no point in keeping me here. Why not let me go? Don't worry, I won't ruin your wedding."
Sandra suddenly smiled, a malicious smile. "Aurora, even if I can let you go, my dad won't allow it."
"I don't even know your dad. I just took over Wolfpack for several days. If your dad wants to find someone, he should go after Richard. Why capture me?" Aurora replied.
If Richard were here, he would be furious. All his nieces were unreliable.
However, Sandra's next words almost scared Aurora to death.
